In an elegant restaurant, Lilly experienced a curious blend of familiarity and unease. Memories of her past life as the discerning restaurant critic, Malcolm, sparked a sense of déjà vu. Yet, the luxurious surroundings were a far cry from the humble cafes she had grown accustomed to.
Lilly and Cletus, both dressed impeccably for the occasion, radiated an air of sophistication. Today marked their wedding anniversary, a celebration orchestrated by Cletus that brought a sense of joy, even if Lilly couldn't recall every detail of their past.
As they sat together, Lilly mustered the courage to share news that would alter their lives.
Lilly: (softly, looking down) Cletus, do ya know that you... will soon become a dad?
Cletus, surprised and overjoyed, couldn't contain his happiness.
Cletus: (delighted) Well, ain't that somethin'! I love you, my dear wife.
Lilly: And I you.
