[Tank Toppler TF/Inflation]
"The Unversed just get weirder and weirder, what exactly are they meant to be?"
Aqua mused to herself as she slashed through yet another Unversed. She had just arrived at Radiant Garden, and it had been overrun by the creatures just as the others had been. All that she could figure out based on her prior encounters was that they seemed to have some sort of connection to the emotions of the people that dwelled in these worlds. The encounter against the Cursed Coach seemed to prove that much, at least.
And yet she couldn't pin down exactly what they were. Especially since it wasn't her only goal. While ridding the worlds of the Unversed was a task that she had been given, she was also trying to hunt down her friend Ventus. He had run away from their home, and it was up to her and Terra to find her. While she had split from Terra to try and cover more ground, the boy had managed to escape moments after they met up again. And eventually, all the roads that she could take led here. So she had to assume that she'd find Ventus one way or another, if she just stuck around this place.
"You better not have lost to one of these things, Ven." Aqua said to herself as she brandished her keyblade once more, upon sensing hostility in the air and the appearance of more of the smallest types of Unversed, the Flood. Wiping the floor with those things would be easy...
But something else appeared as well. Something puffed up and self-certain. Aqua had not fought against one of these kinds of Unversed before, but it seemed like a type of balloon. Big, rubbery, and it had a valve on the back. If nothing else, the Unversed spelled out their weaknesses as much as they spelled out their strength.
"Freeze!" But Aqua hid a clever mind underneath her pretty face. If the Unversed looked like it was inflated, then it would stand to reason that she could manipulate it through hitting it with different elemental attacks. A quick burst of Blizzard-type magic would do the trick, especially the kind of Blizzard-type magic that took out the Flood on its way, leaving her in a 1-on-1 with the new type of Unversed.
As her frozen projectile whizzed through the air and struck the new Unversed right on the 'chest', it bounced back. It definitely seemed a little heavier too, given the way it slammed against the ground. But it was back up on its feet moments later. Surprising, she didn't really think that there'd be feet for it to use, considering the pump-like shape of its hands. No matter, it seemed like it was working. A few more blasts, and then the Unversed would be frozen.
Yet again, she shot out several shots worth of Blizzard-type magic. The Unversed was far too large and far too slow to dodge, resulting in each and every single one of those shots to make their impact. And yet despite being on the border where most Unversed would end up freezing completely, this thing didn't...
The Unversed responded to her aggression with aggression of its own, as it inflated to a size where its feet wouldn't be able to keep it standing. But it didn't need to stand more, as it was now able to roll on its own. Bright colors covering its form, with the faintest hiss echoing from its form. What was it trying to do..?
Aqua wasn't about to chance things. It was rolling at her slowly, so she just had to keep firing. Another Blizzard, and-
Her eyes widened. It was absorbed... No, it was nullified! The aura that now surrounded the Unversed somehow nullified her magic. And now that it was close enough, would she have enough time to cast Reflect to defend herself?
She would not. The Keyblade Master braced herself as much as she could as the new Unversed suddenly burst open and exploded, letting out every little bit of magic that had gathered inside of it. Cold magic that poured onto Aqua, sending shivers across her form on top of any damage that the explosion otherwise inflicted upon her.
Little did she realize, but an Unversed emblem had taken form on her stomach. It wasn't just magic that would render her cold that had flowed into her. It was the Unversed's emotions. The Tank Toppler's inflated sense of pride...
"I should be more careful. That explosion was completely avoidable..." Aqua muttered to herself as she took mental note of what she had done, to make sure that she wouldn't do it again. And not a moment too soon either, because more of its kin started to form. More of those Tank Topplers.
The inflated and rubbery creatures started to slowly hop towards Aqua, just as the Tank Toppler had done before. This time, she knew better than to hit them directly. She should've just taken advantage of the valve on the back of their bodies the first time around!
Just as the Tank Topplers were about to strike, Aqua cast Reflect around her, deflecting their attacks and leaving them open for retaliation. And before they had a chance to follow up and recover, she had already disappeared. Appearing behind them, and striking each of their valves once each.
Each of the Unversed started to deflate in response to their valves being struck, which brought an uncharacteristic sense of pride into Aqua's heart. Of course she was able to outsmart a bunch of round balloons. She had trained for way worse.
She didn't think about the ramifications of this thought. All she did was launch back into her assault, using the same technique again and again. Her training as a wielder was paying off. All the ways she could apply her magic showed through her physical mastery as well, as she reduced each of these Tank Topplers to nothing. Each of them disappearing like all the other kinds of Unversed did once they were beaten...
And yet she still didn't notice. The emblem that had formed on her stomach was gaining color. By defeating the other Tank Topplers, she added to her own strength. It was like survival of the fittest. Her toxic sense of pride, inflicted upon her by the inflated Unversed, was slowly growing within her. Inflating bit by bit, just like the Tank Topplers themselves...
Aqua cracked a grin. Right before shaking her head, noticing that she was being a little too cocky. "I can't let Terra and Ven see me like this. They're never going to let me down if they think it's getting to my head." Though she was naturally a little concerned, the thoughts of her friends were able to deflate her sense of pride. Just enough that the emblem that had been filling out began to drain...
Right before another set of Unversed appeared, making their presence known as a set of bladed air was fired off towards Aqua. She could hear it coming, so blocking the attack came naturally to her. She had encountered these earlier in her trip through Radiant Garden. Mandrakes. They were annoying, considering they could take pot shots at her from a distance.
But she could return the favor. All she had to do was focus on her abilities, and bring the more important ones to the forefront. "Fire!" She cried out, flicking her keyblade forward and sending off three shots worth of powerful Fire-type magic. These would home in on the Mandrakes...
And they would also serve to inflate her, something she only now became aware of. Thanks to the heat generated by the magic, the Unversed emotions inside her started to expand. And she became aware of this growth thanks to her clothes getting a little tight around her midsection. Very... Very peculiar.
However, with the attacks from the Mandrakes still going on, all Aqua could do was file away the thought for later. She had to keep on the offensive. She cartwheeled towards her enemies, dodging right over the bladed air that was flung at her. All thanks to some excellent timing.
Timing that was making her grow more, and was getting narrower and narrower the more that her stomach expanded. It was still not nearly big enough to be noticeable beyond the sensations, but she could definitely feel her sense of weight shifting.
If her acrobatic approach wasn't doing it, then she had to change her tactics. So as soon as the attacks from the Mandrakes ended, she let her keyblade hover in front of her, letting the heat of her magic swell around her. Without another word, three identical pillars of flame rose around her, forming a Raging Storm that would keep her protected and keep her on the offense.
Of course, by using such powerful Fire-type magic, she accelerated the effects even further. Thanks to the sound of her flames drowning out everything else, she couldn't hear the sound of her outfit starting to tear in response to the way that her belly expanded. Nor could she register the extra air inside her, all thanks to the warmth that came from her pillars.
Mowing down the Mandrakes with the Raging Storm came easy. The pillars completely disrupted the attacks that came towards her, while at the same time slicing straight through the Mandrakes. Leaving her with the perfect combination of offense and defense, at least for this kind of situation. And as she cut through the last pest, she could breathe easy...
Only then, as the magic vanished and she tried to exhale, did she properly notice what was happening to her. It was like air was leaving her. Not oxygen, from her lungs, but air that seemed to come straight from her stomach. Not only that, but she could feel that very same stomach compressing in response to her exhale.
"What?" Aqua asked aloud, knowing she wouldn't get a proper response. All she could do was slowly look down at herself, which was when she finally saw what happened to her. And she had chosen the perfect time to gaze downward as well.
*RIIIIIIP*
Because her outfit couldn't handle any more. Her clothes ripped apart around the stomach area, letting her belly out to breathe in the process. That big, air-filled gut, managed to squeeze out of a gap that would normally be far too small for something like it. All while exposing her brand new Unversed emblem to the world. And the worst part of her belly bouncing all over the place thanks to the air inside her..?
The worst part was that she felt pride over it. "No, this isn't right at all. What in the world..." Aqua paused, before immediately thinking back to the Tank Toppler that she had been hit by. Since she barely got hit by Unversed due to her mastery and her ability to think quickly, this one lapse in judgment showed the potential that came with being hit...
If she kept getting hit, would she turn into one of them? And if she tried to use Fire-type magic, she would inflate. And she had inflated quite a bit too, with her belly looking like she had been pregnant for about three months. And it was still able to grow, because it didn't feel like her body was adversely affected by the growth.
All Aqua would have to do to avoid this seemed to be... Well, just don't use Fire-type magic. She could stick to... Fire-type magic. Or Fire-type magic. Or... Or... What was going on..?
The emblem on her belly was glowing as she tried to think through the techniques that she had used. All of them seemed to be gone. All replaced with abilities that would absolutely lead to her using more heat-based attacks. And if she used anything relating to warmth, fire and heat... She would naturally inflate this sense of pride inside herself. It was an accursed cycle that she didn't see a direct path out of...
And to make matters worse, more of those annoying Flood started to form. They were a little hard to see, considering she kept on seeing her distractingly large belly jutting out as she looked down to try and face them. But she still had all of her experience at her fingertips. She was able to do this. She knew she was.
"Fire!"
Which was why she had to curse her muscle memory. Usually, she would wipe out these small fry with her magic. More specifically, one of the strongest Fire-type magic spells she had at her command. Mega Flare. And despite the danger that it posed to her, she had used it. Was it muscle memory, however? Or was it that inflated sense of pride inside her that was making her subconsciously believe that she was able to handle it?
Either way, the Flood were all wiped out in the blink of an eye. And almost as quickly, the air inside her kept on growing and growing. Spreading out further and further. Because it wasn't content to just fill and inflate her stomach. No, she needed to be filled even more. She needed to be bigger. More inflated. And she needed to let that pride take hold completely!
And what better way to accomplish all of this than to inflate her whole body? The Unversed emblem on her tummy was glowing at this point, showing its effects as Aqua felt it all spreading through her. She could feel it. And it felt awful. Especially since she knew that it was all because of her own foolish and overly proud actions.
Little by little, her body pushed out. Further and further, as her stomach almost seemed to smooth out. And yet it only grew so smooth because the rest of her inflated body served as an extension of it. All the finer details of her body were smoothed away as she grew bigger and bigger. Subtle curves under and above her stomach, between her breasts, near her waist, all of it was smoothed out. All while she could do nothing except harmlessly stand there as she grew bigger and bigger.
Of course it wasn't just her body that was growing bigger. Her limbs were as well. Or, well, they were growing stiffer. Rounder. The air inside her arms and legs were ensuring that she wasn't going to be able to use them for much. The finer concept of movement and of joints inside her limbs... All of that faded away as her legs became essentially stilts, and even less so once the rest of her body pushed down on her legs and made most of them sink into the greater whole that was the rest of her body, while her arms just hung against her ballooning body, her fingers practically stuck to one another as her hand was flat and pointed straight forward...
Aqua could only look at herself in shock. She looked like a morbid parody of the Tank Toppler that she had defeated. To the point where she knew that her head had been inflated as well. Not that she could really tell the difference. All she could see was her naked body... Naked thanks to the way that her clothes had been torn from her body while she grew bigger. It was thoroughly embarrassing to be naked, though not anywhere near as embarrassing as being this huge.
"There has to be something I can do..." Was the next thought that filled Aqua's mind. She had gotten through many problems before. Whether it was during her training, or during these travels as a Keyblade Master trying to help her friend and fight back against the horde of Unversed. She had to think. She had to dig deep, and try to cast some sort of recovery magic. She knew that there were spells that were able to cure status effects, or bigger problems like this.
Even without her keyblade, she could still cast magic. And she just needed to picture what she needed to do. She just needed to think long and hard, until she had the right technique in mind. And as she felt a light shine within her mind, Aqua cracked a smile. that's it. That's what she needed to do...
"There!" She cried out, not sure what the magic she cast truly was. But she hoped that it was what she craved. And sure enough, she could feel changes happening to her body. It was working. It was working! She was going to be back to normal, and she could put all of this behind her...
At least, that's what she thought would happen. Then she felt her body stiffening even further. Oh no. She didn't cast some sort of petrification spell, did she? She knew that she tried to put together the pieces in such a way that she would deflate and remain grounded, so there was a chance that she had used the wrong spell. But this sensation wasn't like she was being stuck in place. More that her body just felt... less pliable.
The Keyblade Master looked down at herself once more, to try and put together why she felt this way. And she immediately noticed what was happening to her. The source of her problems once again stemmed from that Unversed symbol that had formed on her stomach, because something was stretching out from it. Stretching and turning her a deep dark color...
Aqua recognized the particular color too. It was the same color as her Keyblade Glider, and the armor she used while she was traversing between worlds. Those rainy hues spread across her, as her body turned significantly shinier and more... Rubbery...
That's it. She was turning into rubber. She tried to push her fingers against parts of her body that had already taken on those darker hues, but she found that she couldn't poke with all her fingers. Because there was actually only a single hose left. By poking herself, the transformation had continued even further. And now she was left with the exact same hoses-for-hands as the Tank Topplers!
It only got worse from there. Her legs, which weren't really useful for an inflated girl like her, one that was proud enough to ignore them, sank even further into her ballooning form. And as a result, she was left with a pair of round pegs that served as her 'legs'. All so she could jump slightly and hover, which paled in comparison to her prior abilities.
To complete her transformation, she could feel her expression simplifying. She could feel her eyes stretching out and turning into the same sort of scribbles that all the Unversed had. And just like the proud inflatable Unversed that had taken root in her, hers looked decidedly angry. Though they were a lot nicer looking, given the blue hue to those 'eyes'. Combine that with her mouth vanishing, and she looked almost like a perfect copy of a Tank Toppler. Even a nice valve had formed on her back, which would serve as the way to regulate the air inside her. The only true difference between her and an ordinary Tank Toppler was the fact that Aqua had her characteristic colors... And she also had her breasts. Because those extra bulgy balloons just wouldn't disappear, despite how unnatural they looked.
Though as she idly floated there, she could feel a name working its way into her mind. She wasn't a Tank Toppler. She was a Belly Balloon. A subspecies characterized by the fact that it was possible for humans to become them. Just her luck. At least she was still Aqua, even if she might've wished for her memories to be blocked out so she wouldn't need to think about this ever again.
Well. At least it couldn't get any worse.
"There! Another Unversed!"
"Terra?! Where's Aqua?!"
Aqua needed to get better at not jinxing herself. Because as luck would have it, her two friends decided that now was a perfect time to appear out of nowhere. Both of them were ready to strike at her, because they thought that she was nothing more than an ordinary-if-odd Unversed. And she didn't blame them for thinking such, considering that she currently looked like an inflated rubbery balloon.
"Terra! Ven! Look at me, don't hurt me!" Aqua cried out, still able to speak despite the fact that she was very clearly without a mouth. All while she harmlessly bounced there.
Just as Ven was about to dash forward and strike at her stomach, he was stopped in his tracks. All thanks to Terra, who acted quickly as soon as he heard Aqua's voice. Despite the body she had taken, the inflated Unversed had to be Aqua. "Look closer, Ven." And since he could see it, so could Ven. Even if he had to try and look a little closer.
Ven blinked a couple of times as Terra instructed him to pay more attention, before noticing all the mild traits that made this Belly Balloon stand out. It was... It was Aqua! "Aqua! What happened to you? Is this that Fairy's doing?" The last time that Ven had seen her, it was right after he had faced off against Maleficent. And here she was, now an Unversed!
Having Terra and Ven look at her like this, expecting it to be due to a villain's machinations, put a lot of pressure on Aqua. So much so that she could feel her valve turning, making her grow a little due to her emotional turmoil and her sense of pride inflating a little more.
"H-Hmph, of course not! I just made a mistake, that's all. I wouldn't be hurt by a Villain!" Aqua scoffed, despite the massive blush on her 'cheeks'. All while she then turned her attention towards the two boys. "Now, I want you two to listen. Because I've got some words for you, words that I've been dying to tell you ever since you decided to run off, Ven!"
"Aqua, I think-"
"You too, Terra! You better not interrupt before I'm done, because there's a lot on my mind, and I didn't go all the way to this world just to end up losing you two again!" Thanks to how embarrassing and humiliating the experience was, Aqua actually decided to lean into the pride in her heart. Because at this point, she did feel like she was better than the two of them. She was a Keyblade Master, after all. So what if she had become an Unversed!? Those two needed to listen, because they were both the source of many pains in her neck!
Both boys ended up on their knees as Aqua started to proverbially chew their ears off. They had never before seen her this intensely opinionated, nor did they know how to handle it. So they sat there. Enduring the way she dressed them down. Dressing Ventus down for running away without telling her or their Master, and Terra for harboring darkness in him when he knew that there were ways to control it that wouldn't risk his destruction.
It would take a long time for this inflated Belly Balloon to be done with them. And little did any of the three know, but there was somebody watching them. The very source of Aqua's current torment, and the cause of Unversed being able to infest humans like this.
"I knew she was full of herself, and now she's acting like it too." Vanitas laughed to himself as he watched her keep prattling on and on, bringing down her friends as they slowly started to develop Unversed emblems as well. While they wouldn't be ending up the same sort of Unversed as Aqua had, it would be a cakewalk for him to manipulate them into forms that made them look so utterly ridiculous. Just as he had done here, pushing her just the right way to end up stumbling right into that shameful state.
And Aqua would be none the wiser, as her ego and body just kept on inflating...
