[Purification, Magical Girl Themes, Genderswap]

In every world, there exists a fine balance between Good and Evil. It can take many forms, most of them benign in appearance. No matter what, the fate of the world hangs in the balance between these two forces. And sometimes, evil wins. And thus everything begins to crumple.

For this world, the world once defended by the bright and colorful Tri-Prisma, it seemed like their attempts to defend the world that they loved, their homes and everyone they ever knew were more than successful. But once the Shade Empires stepped in, their victories became far and few between.

The empire was strong. It was all-encompassing. But most importantly, beating just one of their minions caused another three to pop up in their place. It was thanks to these horde tactics that the souls of the beautiful girls were whittled down one by one.

At first, it had been Prisma Blue. Lured in by the promise of sweets, her soul gradually got tainted by her new diet, until she was willing to betray her allies for the chance to eat even more. Leaving her permanently stained, and a willing member of the Empire she once fought against.

Prisma Yellow fell not long after that. Though she was a friend to many children, she was burdened with the knowledge that they would end up targets to try and harm her. And while she had been right, the thing that ultimately did her in was her closest ally’s betrayal. Now she harvests those adorable boys and girls all on her own, bringing them a comforting and happy life in her arms.

Finally, Prisma Pink. The leader of the trio, and the one that managed to stand tall despite the many fights she had gone through. Even when she faced them, she still stood tall. It was only after one fateful clash with the general spearheading the invasion, the Oni Shogun, that she fell. And not because she was tired… But because he had managed to earn her respect. Through fighting him over and over again, she realized that she couldn’t beat him, accepting her fate to fall as she became one of his loyal henchwomen...

Tri-Prisma, the ones that defended this world from evil, would be turned into little more than obedient soldiers of the Shade Empire. And with their defeat, the Empire’s aim changed. It needed to make sure that they never rose up again. And that nobody tried to take their place...

It was for that reason, that the Empress conducted a special meeting…

---

Standing in a throne room blanketed in darkness, with only a moon casting a bit of light into the chambers, was a single woman sitting on her throne. A woman with long black hair and an elegant dress. The one that lead the Empire that had managed to suppress the heroes of the world, and the one that would ruleit in due time.

Empress Shade. The whole Empire was named after her, and thus all of the ones serving her were like an extension of her. Even if they didn’t look like it, they took on the role knowing what it meant.

And within the shadows, the ones cast by her existence, were three individuals. Three Generals that had done plenty to serve their Empress.

“Rise, my Generals.” Empress Shade said, smiling softly as the light from the moon washed over their forms, allowing it to illuminate them and make them visible. Just enough, so that they were blessed with that privilege.

The first to stand was the leader of her forces, the one that had done plenty for her already. The Oni Shogun. A man dressed in a thick set of samurai armor, wielding a daemonic blade swirling with blackened energies. His face, or rather lack of one, was taken up by a single red mask depicting an Oni’s fury, with two massive horns growing out of his head. “Empress Shade. It’s an honor to stand before you.” He said, even if his voice betrayed a certain… lack of pride in his current situation.

“Are we getting soft, Shogun? It’s not like you to start sounding like you regret something. Did you and your little toy have a lot of fun lately, or are you just wishing she was back to normal, so you’d have an opponent?” The next to stand was a short bastard alright, his body barely reaching up to the Shogun’s knee.

Traitorix. The puppet that had been given life by the Empire. Who constantly would betray his allies and his enemies at the flip of a dime, should it benefit his current wants and needs. As his body was little more than a puppet, it was easy for him to disguise into any form he might need. Something he had taken advantage of when he was out dealing with his arch enemy, turning her into a mockery of her former self with just a few candies…

“Oh, Empress… You still need Kuma?” The soft voice that left the last general’s lips betrayed his appearance, as the light of the moon illuminated him and revealed a bear that was even larger than the Shogun, with muscles trembling against the armor that adorned him.

Kuma, the muscle that had been mistaken for a cuddly bear several times over. Not that he helped this depiction, as his voice was so soft that you could mistake him for a genuine good person. The armor that the shogun had gifted him was the same thing that brought out his ferocity in the face of humanity, something that he desperately needed. But now that they had dealt with the enemies to the Empire, he wasn’t sure what he could do with it. So he returned to his soft voice, just waiting to hear who he should crush.

“I doubt she needs somebody as soft as you, Kuma. Except maybe as a bed. I’m sure you could make a lovely bed if we just pushed you down and started stuffing you full of more of that stuffing you’re made from.” Traitorix laughed as he adjusted one of the masks that adorned his puppeted body, giggling like the mad little gremlin that he was.

Both of the larger Generals could easily crush him if they wanted to. They had the strength. But they didn’t have the speed, as he’d find a way to get behind them before they knew it. So they just had to tolerate his teasing and his insults, until the time came.

“Traitorix. Enough.” Empress Shade said, and the puppet calmed down by adjusting his mask to show a seemingly apologetic expression. “All three of you, kneel.”

The three powerful members of the Empire followed their Empress’ words, doing what she said without question. They were an extension of her will, it only made sense to obey…

“You’ve all done well to serve me. You’ve done well to serve the empire. Your swift and decisive way of crushing those three has earned you more than enough prestige in my eyes.” The Empress spoke, before resting her head against her knuckle. “So why do I still feel an inch of light pouring through the world? Did you not finish the job?” She asked, the same concerningly soft smile remaining on her face as always.

The three Generals looked to one another, each of them looking profoundly confused. Even the smug puppet couldn’t figure out what the Empress was talking about. “Empress Shade. What are you talking about?” The Oni Shogun said, grabbing ahold of his blade. “At your command, we will seek out and snuff this light. To make sure that the Empire maintains absolute control.”

“M-Mmhm!” Kuma said, flexing his armored muscles. “Kuma wanna be useful to Empress!” He cried out, his eyes turning bright crimson as the armor started to crack. “Kuma’ll crush ‘em! KUMA’LL MASSACRE THEM!” His inner aggression was pouring out, something he was delighted to experience if it meant serving his Empress!

Empress Shade smiled in regards to both of their earnesty. “Kuma. Calm down.” The Empress said, and the black bear deflated, nervously shifting back and forth. “Oni Shogun. You were intimate with Prisma Pink when you last fought. You didn’t happen to see their beloved little partner during the final fight, did you?”

“I did not, Empress.” Oni Shogun replied, the energies in his blade intensifying. “Forgive me for my mistake. I should’ve done what you asked, and eliminated them at the outset. It is because of my… Relationship with the girl, that I didn’t notice the departure of their partner.” He explained, looking towards the ground.

Another light quietly shone within the room, as the Empress continued to smile. “Not to worry. I’m sure she’d be happy to tell you what she knows.” The black-haired woman chimed, as the three Generals turned towards the newly lit figure.

“By your command, My Empress.” The figure that joined them sounded intimately familiar to the oni-masked Monster, and for a good reason. Because it belonged to the forma Prisma Pink, who now wore a black oni mask to accompany the military uniform she had adopted ever since she came into the Shogun’s service.

General Black. The girl that had once smiled and done everything she could for the people around her, reduced to little more than another hopeless part of the Shade Empire. Wielding her powers against those she protected. Because she knew that she couldn’t do anything against those with power. Because she knew that this was the only path forward.

“...” The Oni Shogun remained silent for a second, the powers around his blade dying down as he turned towards his Empress once more. “Empress Shade. I must refrain from using my tool.” He said, his pride beaming through as he took a step closer to the throne. Risking his life in the process. “I will make up for my mistakes by my own hands. I do not need her help.”

Traitorix laughed, his body wriggling as his mask shifted into one of pure delight. “YOU? Fix what YOU fucked up? Really? What do you think you are, some sort of hero? Remember, Shogun, we’re the baddies. We use what we have at our disposal, regardless if it’s moral or not.” He laughed, as he turned his eyes towards Kuma. “You know that too, Kuma. Come on, back me up. I promise I’ll get you one of those snacks that you like. And keep that terrible woman away from you too.”

“Kuma… Kuma want to make it up too!” He cried out, stepping closer as well. The big lumbering bear had his own honor. And he owed the big Shogun a favor. He had let him cut loose so many times before. It was only right to return the favor and help him restore his honor… or whatever that meant. Honestly he just did this because he’d get to beat something up again.

General Black looked towards the jester-puppet, raising a single eyebrow. “Your allies have chosen to pursue the target. Are you sure you do not need my help, traitorous one?” She asked. Even after being corrupted into this form, her kind regard towards her allies still remained.

“Hmph. I’ll just find it first and steal all the glory.” Traitorix cried out, stepping further forth. “You heard me, Empress! Screw the help, let us do it!” His mask shifted to a proud one, ready to take all the glory. Even if he had to kick the shogun and the bear to the curb in the process!

The Empress smiled at the eager way they wanted to please her. “Well then. I look forward to you all doing your best to impress me.” She said, grinning as she slowly started to fade into the darkness as the moon set behind her. “Mommy’s waiting to hear back from you all.”

With that, she disappeared. And so did two of the Generals, already going straight ahead. They weren’t about to wait for anybody, much less their own ally. Leaving just the Shogun, and his subordinate behind in the darkness.

General Black stepped closer to her commander, closing her eyes as she lightly elbowed him in the side. “And what was that supposed to be?” She asked, raising an eyebrow. This was truly unpredictable behavior from somebody like him.

“I did not wish for you to see your own ally slaughtered.” He said, turning towards the oni-masked white-haired girl. “Because you’ve already seen enough pain. You may have fallen, but I respect you as an individual, for having driven me to use as much power as I could during our battles. Do you understand, General Black?”

She nodded, taking off her mask for a moment to reveal the spotless and beautiful face underneath. “Then make sure you make up for your mistake, Shogun.” She said, as her soft expression curved into a wicked one. “I want to have another ‘bout’. And you best be prepared.”

The Oni Shogun’s mask shifted slightly, returning the grin. “I’ll look forward to it, General Black. I always do.” He said, before drawing his blade from its sheath, cutting a hole through the darkness. A hole that would lead him to his destination.

As he disappeared into the emptiness beyond the hole, the white-haired girl put on her mask once more, sighing as she pressed her thighs together. “You better get back quickly. I don’t think I can hold back much longer…”

Little did she know that fate had something quite strange in store for her commander...

“H-Help! HELP! T-Tri Prisma! Anybody! Please!”

A helpless little fairy, possessing all the colors of the rainbow, was fleeing like her life depended on it. And if you were technical, it really did. It was because of her and the blessing that she had in her body that the Tri-Prisma were able to fight against the Shade Empire. And as long as she remained in play, the Empire would have to face several more heroines like them.

Which was why she had to perish. And why several knives went flying past her body, courtesy of the devilish Puppet that was chasing after her, riding atop of his ‘favorite’ bear’s shoulder.

“Keep running, it makes this game all the more fun!” Traitorix laughed as he threw knife after knife at the target, hoping to land one or two knives at least. He wanted to make sure that she was well and thoroughly skewered before he dragged her back to the Empress. Because the worse her condition, the less she’d be able to do. That, and he was just kinda peeved at how General Black had treated him. Honestly, thinking she had any kind of authority over him. The nerve!

Kuma was furious. He was mad. He was pouring rage out of every pore as he kept on running after the tiny fairy, his claws extended out as far as they could possibly go while he ran after the little thing. “Kuma kill! Kuma crush! KUMA MAKE SURE YOU NEVER RETURN!” He shouted, violently throwing himself in the path of the fairy to make sure she’d perish.

The little thing kept on screaming and wishing for somebody to save her. Even if she knew that it was pointless. She had seen her allies turn into evil mockeries of themselves. And she knew that she’d be next, if she ever stopped running. That was how they had found her. Because as much as she wanted to hide, if she was ever caught when not on the move… They’d destroy her. Or worse, use her to corrupt others.

She didn’t want that to happen. So she kept on flying. Using her magic to barely dodge the knives, hoping that nobody would interrupt her path. She just had to hope that she could find somebody to bless. Anybody. Hopefully, they’d turn the tide. Hopefully, they could save her. Or… or just do something! She didn’t know what, but if it meant her safety, she’d appreciate it!

In fact, it seemed like her luck was about to turn. There was a hole just big enough for her to dodge through. The meanies that were chasing her wouldn’t be able to fit through, and then she could escape to live another day-

A slash appeared in the fabric of time and space, cutting the wall in half and removing her escape route. And in that moment, the Oni Shogun stepped out, sheathing his blade as he looked down upon his prey with pure disdain.

“There you are. Ally of Tri-Prisma.” He said, his growling voice keeping his fury at bay. Though not for long, as he turned his gaze towards his ‘allies’. “You’re both impressive, when you put your minds to it.”

Kuma deflated as he noticed the Shogun, smiling a little. “Shogun! Kuma found the fairy! What do we do?” He asked simply, only to let out a pained cry as a knife sank into the side of his neck, whimpering like a scared animal.

“Took you long enough, Shogun. What, did you want to take your sweet time with the lady, or did you just want to keep brooding like some sort of anti-hero?” Traitorix said, his mask shifting to pure disdain as he twirled a knife. All while keeping one eye focused on the fairy who had been trapped between a rock and a hard place. “Still, better get her quick. Before I gut her and turn her into a nice necklace for our Empress.”

A whimper left the fairy’s lips. She could feel her heart pounding against her chest. She was going to die. There was no question about it. If she did nothing to stop them, she’d die. And she couldn’t stop them, because she had nobody to bless. What was she going to do? What could she possibly do? There was literally nobody she could use as a conduit, nobody with a heart…

“...H-Heart! That’s it!” The fairy’s eyes lit up as her hair started to shift between different colors, putting her hands together. “Chroma, chroma, chroma..! Chroma’s got it..!” She cried out as a powerful burst of magic started to pour out of her body. This was the single chance she’d get. If this failed, the whole world was going to lose. It was up to her this time..!

The Oni Shogun and his allies didn’t react kindly to this magic. It was their direct antithesis. And they had faced it many times before, in the form of their battles against the Tri-Prisma. But there was something different about it this time…

“Don’t just stand there, you big oafs! Kill her! Before she blows us up or something!” Traitorix cried out, his hands trembling and preventing him from tossing one of his knives at the pitiful fairy.

Chroma, the little fairy who had all the power, kept on praying as she kept repeating her own name. With every repetition, the colors around her intensified and deepened, thickening until they were so bright that they were almost impossible to ignore. Only to stop flashing between the entire spectrum, landing on three specific colors.

Pink. Blue. Yellow. The same colors of the three heroines they had lured into evil..!

“By the power of colors! Chrona bonds with these hearts, to give them the power to fight back!” She cried out, her body tearing itself apart as she turned into colors. This was the only way that she’d be able to color these villains’ hearts… The only way she could bring forth a new Tri-Prisma..!

The Oni Shogun drew his blade once more before the color could keep growing, slashing through it and leaving a gash where it had once gathered. “Rest, useless fairy. You are not needed in this world.” He said, sheathing the blade as the gap started to close…

Only for the bright colors to return, the space-rending blade too weak to stop the magic. In fact, by lowering his guard and sheathing his weapon, he just left himself completely open to the colors rushing towards him.

He wasn’t the only one who got assaulted by Chroma’s powerful spell, as Traitorix was quickly filled with the blue colors that knocked him straight off Kuma’s shoulder, and the bear’s powerful body was wrapped up in the yellow glow until only his head was poking out from the top. The spell was thorough, and powered in such a way that it could only succeed..!

“You three..!” Chroma’s voice beamed into their head, the fairy’s voice sounding pained. “You may have fought against us..! You may be on the side of the Empire..! But please… Please! Let your hearts be laid bare, and let the good in! Become Tri-Prisma, and save this world from the Empire..!” The words were loud and kept repeating, making them difficult to ignore…

Once the colors had sunk all the way into their bodies, they began to change. Because their monstrous bodies couldn’t handle the colorful energy, they needed new containers. And the energy was more than happy to change them to allow for this.

In the case of the Oni Shogun, the pink power made his body dramatically shrink, until he was barely the size of a normal girl around the age of 16. Whether it was his body’s muscles, or his actual size, both were reduced to practically nothing by the time the power had rushed through him.

He had enough lucidity to look at himself, taking note of all the changes. How his power had been stripped from his physical body. How he could actually see, despite his usual lack of a head… And how he could feel his body trembling, his weakness palpable. Like he had never been a strong villain, he felt… weak...

But those weren’t the only changes. The armor cracked off his body, letting his new form free. Bountiful breasts. A wide set of hips. A pink pair of lips, and a pair of eyes filled with sparkles that complimented the pink color beautifully. His entire existence as the Oni Shogun cracked and disappeared, as Prisma Pink was born..!

Traitorix let out many screams as the blue power invaded his wooden body. It tugged him up and carefully clipped his strings, as each left his body turning more and more fleshy by the second.

By the time the last string had been cut, his body was now proper flesh and blood. Leaving him just as pitiful as his ally. But turning his body into flesh wasn’t the only thing that the color wanted to do. No, it would change him to fit the definition of Justice..!

His body, formerly short and spindly, grew outward and upward until he had a layer of muscle. A mild one that went along perfectly with his new height, and the beautiful hair that ran down his face. All of his jester themes had disappeared, leaving him as new feminine traits developed, his chest bouncing with every breath he took, while his long hair covered up the hole that had developed between his bottom cheeks. Justice would consume him, and Prisma Blue would take the stage..!

Kuma was a bit confused as the yellow power started to squeeze around him. He was a big boy after all. How could it possibly do anything to him? And sure enough, despite attempts to pull him together and leave him just as feminine as his allies, it only managed to do so much. Leaving him with quite the squishy body for a girl.

With a big set of breasts that most girls would be envious of, an ass that would have difficulty fitting on most chairs, and a belly that could best be described as a pillow, he was definitely some sort of girl at this point. But that wasn’t what brought the former bear worries.

No, what worried the former General was the fact that all of his strength had been stripped from him. He could barely lift himself! That was how weak he felt! This was so weird, so strange! He didn’t like it one bit, but he’d come to terms with it, Prisma Yellow would be ready to throw down..!

“This… This can’t be…” The Oni Shogun, confined in the adorable pink-haired body of the new Prisma Pink, gasped as the cold air around her started to caress her body. “T-Traitorix, Kuma! You need to inform the Empress..!” Even when converted into a different form, his loyalty to the mission mattered most of all.

Unfortunately, his allies were a bit too preoccupied with their changes, and the effects that the power had on them. Because it wasn’t just their bodies that were being changed. No, they needed to fit their new bodies. Their new roles and lives!

“J-Justiiiice… N-No, damnit! That’s not what I’m about!” The tallest of the three new girls, Traitorix in the form of Prisma Blue, cried out as her eyes kept switching between beautiful azure landscapes and spirals that wouldn’t stop. The power was adamant on fixing her heart.

Kuma was shivering and quivering from the cold. In the form of Prisma Yellow, she had no fur to keep her warm. Her plump fat wasn’t nearly good enough to keep her warm, it just wouldn’t do. What could she possibly do..!?

“Stay… Focused..!” Prisma Pink shouted, holding onto her will the best she could. Even if she didn’t have her blade, she had her willpower. She just needed to tug on theirs, and then they could all return to the Empress and report..!

Unfortunately, the lingering power of Chroma that had transformed them all had one last trick up its sleeve, as they all started to glow with that same bright light. The same thing that had taken away their monsterous forms…

They could only scream as they were completely consumed by their lights, only to be tossed out far away. Without one another to lean on, Chroma’s last blessing would help them turn into the heroines they were meant to be.

Tri-Prisma would be born again..!

---

“I… hate this…”

The voice of Prisma Blue echoed out as she slowly stood up from where she had landed. A dinky little alley on the outskirts of town, where all the kids usually hung out. The place that she barely knew, and yet the power inside her gave her everything she needed to know. Because it wanted her to grow attached…

“Damnit..!” She cried out as she slowly got up, panting as her mind was trying to tear itself apart. Sure, the fact the power wasn’t transforming her any longer was nice. It gave her some amount of breathing room. But that didn’t mean she enjoyed her current situation. It was hell! She wasn’t even a puppet anymore! She couldn’t spin her head all around!

She took a deep breath, closing her eyes to try and focus for a moment, before she let her hands slowly caress her body. Only to blush as she felt the thickness of meat compared to wood… and the fact that she didn’t have any clothes. That part was more shameful than she imagined it would be.

With a wave from her hands, Prisma Blue managed to suppress her powers. Enough that she managed to take on a more human appearance than ever before. Complete with actual clothes, in the form of… A simple blue top with a matching vest, and jeans that reached down to delicate yet functional heels, making her look both stylish and reasonable at the same time.

She looked at herself and scoffed. This was a far cry from her last time taking on a human form. Not only that, but her long black hair and how well-trimmed it was made her look like… A princess doing her best to look natural. And failing miserably at it. Still, it would do. Less shame.

“Now, to find those two idiots. Then, back to the Empress. Maybe taint this power while I’m at it, so I don’t have to deal with this shitty body.” She muttered to herself as she slowly brushed a hand through her hair on reflex, leaving the alley as she tried to look around.

There weren’t many around due to how far out in the city she was. But there were a couple of kids at the nearby playground. And a single woman, older than she had any right to be, watching them from a distance. Like she was the only one that could keep track of them.

A voice in the back of Prisma Blue’s mind told her to ignore her. Because she was just a human. And she had nothing of worth to betray her over. But at the same time, a much softer and louder voice whispered into her ear, telling her to help her.

“You. Old lady.” The black-haired girl asked, stepping closer. “Are you the only one keeping an eye on all those kids?” She asked, hiding a bit of a grin. She’d listen to that louder voice… And then proceed to ignore the kids when she got the chance. Because that’s how she’d betray an old lady, steal away her trust at the last moment and make her suffer.

The elderly woman looked to the youth who approached, smiling slightly. “Oh, yes. They’re my daughter’s. She’s… Well, you no doubt understand.” She said, taking a moment to adjust her glasses. “I’ll leave if it’s too much of a bother. I just wanted them to get some time to play with one another.”

“You don’t have to worry.” Prisma Blue said, smiling as softly as she could, putting up the biggest red flag she could as a betraying entity. “I’ll keep an eye on them. You should go get them something to eat, I’m sure they’re hungry.”

The elderly woman smiled at the kindness radiating off the younger lady. “I will, my dear. And I’ll get you something as well. May I have your name?” She asked very kindly, bowing her head respectfully.

“A-Ah.” The girl paused, bowing her head respectfully as well. She had to keep up the illusion. “I… I’m Sora Kobaruto. Don’t worry. I’ll keep them safe until you return.” She said, lying through her teeth. Oh, the look on her face once those kids were to disappear…

The elder nodded in turn, slowly making her way towards the shop not far from this playground. Leaving the black-haired girl to do whatever she wanted to those young boys…

“What to do, what to do…” Sora muttered to herself. She could make them all play hide and seek… yes, that would do. And then she’d refuse to tell the old lady where they were, so she’d never find them, and then..! It was a perfect plan. And they’d get bored in the process. Double the misery, double the betrayal! It was perfect!

First, get over to them and win their trust. That much was easy, kids like them were always nice to older girls.

“Hello? Heellooooo?” She asked, as she walked over to the boys playing in the sandpit. “Hey there, little guys. Do you want to play a little game?” She asked, smiling from ear to ear.

One of the boys, a cute little blue-haired boy, shook his head as he scooped a bit of sand onto his shovel. “Nuh! We’re making a castle!” He cried out, and his friends agreed. It seemed as if they were already busy trying to make their own little game.

Sora blinked, before adjusting her sleeves slightly and kneeling down. “Then… Mind if I join you all?” Well, since the original plan didn’t work, she had to adapt. She could crush their castle after helping them build it instead. That was an idea.

“Can you build a sandcastle, lady?” Another one of the boys asked, looking up at her with questioning, yet naive eyes. “‘cuz I can’t.” He said, looking over to the little sand bundle over in the corner. He had done that. Because he didn’t have the fine eye for arts like his friends had.

The black-haired girl shook her head. “I don’t think I can. But I’ll try and help. Because it’s more fun to try and have fun than to worry about what you make. Isn’t that right, everyone?” She said, grinning a little behind her smile. Oh yes. If she could sow discord that would let one of the boys destroy the castle for her, then she was even better off.

All of the boys nodded. “Fun’s the most fun! And the castle’s even funner!” They cried out, as they grabbed their respective buckets. Because even though they were ready to build a normal sandcastle, they wanted to experiment in their own way. As long as everyone had fun!

Sora smiled and picked up a spare shovel of her own, taking a seat in the sand near the boys. “Then let’s make the funnest castle. Okay?” She asked, and the boys nodded along with her. Now, she just had to make it structurally weak, and then…

Little by little, they built the sandcastle. First by trying to stack sand upon sand upon sand. Then when that collapsed and they all had a little laugh about it, they tried the delicate way. Following the blue-haired boy’s lead and the older girl’s directions…. Before that collapsed as well, when the blue-haired boy accidently tripped and fell into it, with everyone laughing about it.

Finally, they just decided to make a tower. Because if they couldn’t make a castle, they could just make a tower. One big tower, watching over the entire sandpit. Nobody would be outside of its gaze… And the eldest girl could kick it over, if she so desired to strip away their life’s work. It was the perfect idea…

More and more sand eventually piled on top of itself. No matter how much they tried to make a tower, it just ended up being a pile. No matter how careful they were, it’d collapse. And… It didn’t really bother him. They just laughed it off, eventually all taking a small moment to lie down against it. There had been no chance to betray, no reason to betray. They were just a bunch of friends, having a bit of fun.

Sora sighed as she rested her head up against the pile. Sure, she hadn’t betrayed them yet… But that was fine. She’d find another opportunity. She always did. Whether or not it was now or later. She’d find the chance… And then she’d pull the rug out from under them all. She’d reveal herself to be the worst, and laugh in their faces.

“Oh my. You got busy with the boys.” The elder lady said as she approached the crowd around the sand pile, smiling as the boys quickly got up from their little spot of relaxation.

Each of them were happy to see their grandma, and they pointed towards the black-haired girl, praising her and calling her amazing for trying to help them. Every compliment beaming towards the girl, to the point where she could feel them brushing up against her face.

Sora blushed a little as she got up, dusting herself off. “I just did what I said I would.” She said. Such a strange set of words to say, for a betrayer like her. No matter. It wouldn’t be a problem…

“And I’m glad that you did.” The elder lady said, handing each of the boys a lollipop… and one to the older girl as well, smiling. “You deserve a small reward for what you did, Sora.”

The boys around her nodded as most of them popped their lollipops into their mouths. “Try it, big sis Sora! It’s really good!” The blue-haired boy said, popping his own in and humming softly as he let the flavor overwhelm his tongue.

Sora looked at her lollipop and did as they suggested, only to blush as the incredible sweetness hit her tongue. The flavor mixed together with the strange satisfaction she felt from playing along, as she closed her eyes.

Maybe she’d have a bit more fun with these kids, before she tried to betray them. Yes, make that betrayal just as sweet as this treat...

---

“Hungryyyy…”

Kuma, now Prisma Yellow, cried out as her tummy ached. She really didn’t feel great, not after all that weird power started to squish her together, nor after she was turned into… Well, this.

She really liked being big and strong and all sorts of squishy, but now she was… Well if Shogun was here, she could probably compare herself in size. But she was definitely a third of her normal size! And that wasn’t good! How was she going to fight and do things like this?

To make matters so much worse, she was… well, really hungry. She’d normally be eating around this time of day, snacking on all the worst parts of the Empire. But since she didn’t know where to find the empire, nor if she could manage to stuff them in, how was she going to get fed?

“Huuunnngrrryyyy…” Prisma Yellow muttered as she staggered down the street, people looking at her with very weird looks. Because how else would you react to a strange, naked and chubby blonde girl? With acceptance? Definitely not.

Thankfully, she didn’t pay attention to all those people around her. Her hunger kept her mind from being far too lucid. Only once she caught the scent of sweets in the air did she start snapping back to reality, letting her formerly excellent nose guide her, unintentionally bumping her way into people in the process.

By the time she came to the source of the delicious scent, she was pressing her face up against a window. A big window that could handle a lot of pressure, but it didn’t stop her from squishing her naked body against it. Making smudgy marks as she started drooling.

There were lots of pastries and breads and lots and lots of cakes behind that window. If she had her normal strength, she could probably just punch it open and then get to eating. But as she reared her fist back to smash it…

*Ponk*

“O-OW!” Prisma Yellow cried out as she started staggering back, her hand swollen as it turned all red. Despite putting all her power into the swing, she couldn’t break it. Why couldn’t she? She was really strong and stuff! Even if she was… even if…

She finally blinked as she looked at herself in the window, her reflection shining back at her. And she began to blush, a layer of shame and embarrassment and fear pouring over her. She knew she was small, but she was about the size of a child! Or at least a cub! How was she going to do anything like this?!

“No way... Kuma’s all weak…” She whimpered, as she finally became dangerously aware of everyone looking at her. And thus her fear grew. She didn’t want all of their eyes on her. She didn’t want this! She wanted to be big and strong! Not to have weak… weak…

Tears started to well up in her eyes as she realized she was no better than them at this point. The people she considered as weaklings were probably stronger than her at this point. What was she supposed to do?! She couldn’t crush them, she couldn’t beat them, she definitely couldn’t run away from them…

And she was still super naked! They were probably going to laugh at her too! That part she could probably fix, b-but… W-Would it really help? I-it was worth a try, just to try and avoid looking like a weakling through and through.

Prisma Yellow kept her eyes hidden from the crowd by covering her face with her surprisingly thin hands, as she did her best to use the yellow power to put her in an outfit. A nice one! One that didn’t leave anything exposed…

By the time she removed her hands and looked upon her jiggly belly, it was thankfully covered. By a nice and creamy sweater that went along wonderfully with her jogging pants, and the cardigan that covered her arms. She was wearing clothes that were just as soft as her… Well that probably wouldn’t be a problem.

“O-Okay. D-Done with that… N-Now what does Kuma do..?” She asked herself, nervously hiding herself from the people still giving her strange looks. They were still bothering her a lot. Like, couldn’t they look somewhere else?

Is this how they all felt when she towered over them? Is this what people felt like when they were in danger? She really didn’t like the feeling. Maybe if she could just find Shogun, she’d be able to get back to normal. Maybe even Black! She wasn’t as nice as Shogun, but she had been like this before. Maybe she knew how to turn her back into her full sized bear form…

“E-Excuse me?”

A soft voice quickly poured through Prisma Yellow’s ears, causing her to scream as she scrambled towards the nearest hiding place… Which happened to be behind the same boy that just called out for her. She was too dumb to notice…

“C-Cute.” The boy muttered softly, as he slowly turned around to face her, with a soft smile on his face. “H-Hello there. Y-You were, uh, pushing up against the window to my store…” He said, keeping his voice as soft as he could to try and avoid making her upset.

The sweater-clad girl blinked a couple of times as her brain processed what she just heard. It was… It was his shop? Then… then he could make her lots and lots of food. And she still needed lots and lots to satiate her tummy…

“F-Food for Kuma..?” She asked, slowly looking at him as she let her hands leave her face after she hid behind them once more. She was like one big scaredy cat, even if she was really cute.

The boy nodded as he reached out. “M-Mmhm. If it’ll calm you down.” He said, smiling as much as he could. “I’m Daichi. What about you?” He introduced himself, trying not to look at the more exaggerated parts of her body. Even if she was dressed so modestly, they were still so obvious.

“Kuma is… Kumako…” Kumako said. Something about her old name wasn’t right. It was appropriate for when she was big and strong. So a smaller name like this was a lot better. “Daichi...  Thanks..!” She cried out, quickly wrapping her big arms around him. As she usually did whenever she felt somebody had done nice things to her.

Daichi let out a yelp as the chubby girl practically crushed him with how strong her arms were. J-Just how much strength was in this girl? She had knocked against his window and hadn’t broken it, but she was on the verge of breaking his bones with a grab? No way..!

“L-Let me go…” He gasped, and she listened, letting him down as she looked a little nervous. “N-Not that hard again, okay, Kumako?” He asked, and she nodded obediently in return. “G-Good. Here, let me go pick out something good for you. Just wait here, okay?”

He went into the shop, luckily having closed it when he went to check on her, and started taking out one of his most prized pastries… Only to notice Kumako following right behind him, her lips leaking drool onto the floor. A glutton by heart, it seemed…

In fact, he couldn’t stop her once she started getting up against the counter… Well, he could, because she couldn’t break that glass either. This girl was really something, wasn’t she?

“Okay, Kumako.” Daichi said as he went behind the counter, and grabbed one of the pastries. Slooowly lifting it onto the counter, with the blonde girl’s eyes following every step of the way. “You can have this one. Trust me, it’s delicious!” He chimed, hoping it would satiate her. And, well, he hoped she liked it too.

Kumako reached for the pastry with a hungry look in her eyes, only for him to stop her before she could get started. Because she was about to tear it apart right then and there. “No no, you have to be gentle. Otherwise you won’t get a taste of all the flavors.” He’d say, and she’d nod slowly as she processed what he said.

This time, she grabbed the plate he had delicately put it on, and then the fork that he gave her as well. With it, she cut a small piece off and stuffed it into her mouth, chewing on it carefully as he kept nodding in approval. She slowly swallowed, to try and get the last bit of flavor…

Before her eyes practically exploded with bright sparkles. It was the best cake she had ever eaten! Traitorix’s cakes were good, especially the smaller sweets that he had let her test again and again, but this was on a whole different level. This stuff felt so good that her heart was bouncing up and down and all around inside her chest. What was this extra ingredient that made her feel so good..?

Kumako just couldn’t stop herself once she got going. She ate and ate and ate until there wasn’t another bit left of the pastry, before nearly slamming the plate down on the counter as if asking for more. With those very same bright sparkles pouring out of her eyes. She was really happy to receive such a nice meal, from such a nice boy!

“Okay, okay. I can tell you want more. But you gotta pay somehow, Kumako.” Daichi said, noticing her expression wavering as he mentioned payment. “...But not today. Today, you get them all for free. But only because you really need them.” He concluded. He honestly couldn’t let a girl like her go hungry.

The bear-like girl kept on eating and eating until there was nothing left to eat. Within reason, of course. Whenever her new friend told her to slow down and savour the flavour, she did so. Because he was nice and he gave her all this food, it only made sense to listen to him and do what he asked.

By the time she finally finished eating it all, she was stuffed. Really, she was. Her sweater had started pulling itself up to reveal her tummy, which was pushing out a bit more than normal. She was well and truly satiated. Like she couldn’t eat another bite!

“Are you finally done, Kumako?” Daichi asked as he kneeled down by her, a bit of sweat pouring down his face. Honestly, he didn’t expect her to eat this much. Now he had to bake a lot more pastries if he wanted to sell like normal. And if he couldn’t, well… Then he’d be in big trouble. Bigger trouble than he’d ever like to be in.

She nodded and looked towards him with a big and bright smile. “Mmhm! It was really, really tasty!” Kumako cried out, wrapping her big arms around him like before, causing him to wince as he thought she’d crush him again…

But no, this time the hug was proper. There was just enough strength put into it. Not enough to ruin him or make him hurt, but enough to show how much she enjoyed his presence and loved him.

He couldn’t help but smile a little himself as he hugged her back and pulled her close, letting her snuggle him too. This strange girl, who had seemingly appeared out of nowhere… Maybe he should spoil her a bit more. But at the same time, he had to keep an eye on her so she didn’t get in trouble.

Kumako, however, had found somebody she wasn’t afraid of. Somebody that didn't look at her like she once looked down on others. Somebody that was nice and all sorts of friendly. If she had to use this weird yellow power, then… Then she was going to protect him! And other people, if they were going to be as nice as him!

She giggled, closing her eyes as she very nearly fell asleep against him. Yeah… maybe she’d have him feed her more tomorrow…

“This feeling in my body…”

Oni Shogun, the leader of the Generals that had been infested with the colored power that burst from Chroma, looked at his own reflection in the water of the fountain he just happened to land near.

Rather, she looked at her reflection. She wasn’t the same intimidating Oni that she had always been. No, she was now a girl. A mere human, though one empowered by the colors like… Just like Black had been.

Prisma Pink was her new identity. A girl with a heart filled with love for those around her. Or was it friendship? Honestly, even after getting this body, she wasn’t sure. These human emotions were too strange for her.

Not only that, but she still had a part of herself inside her. She could still recognize that she once was the Oni Shogun. And if she tried hard enough, she could…

Prisma Pink closed her eyes as she slowly reached her hand into the air, a wicked energy gathering at the tips. She grabbed onto the tip of that energy, and started to drag it out…

There it was. Her blade. The same weapon that she had used to cut down General Black, when she was the original Prisma Pink. Dramatic irony at its finest…

Not that it would last for long, as her innate pink power started to pour through it. Changing it from a blade that would carve through everything into nothing more than a baton, the weapon of any proper magical girl. Even the Tri-Prisma, who she now represented.

If she tried hard enough, she could turn it back. But what point would there be? She wasn’t the same. She was no longer the Oni Shogun. And she knew what would happen if the Shade Empire found her in this state.

Prisma Pink stood up as she twirled her ‘baton’, letting the power pour over her as her pink hair slowly turned to a much simpler red. The rest of the power went into forming her outfit, which was remarkably feminine. A sundress and an adorable hat, not unlike those she saw much older women wear. Even if she was particularly average, she liked the freedom the simple outfit gave her.

She closed her eyes as the baton vanished, her powers disappearing for the moment as she looked out at the world. She could feel her heart beating, and she knew what it was. Because she had asked Black about it a few times, about why she fought. And that sensation…

“It’s justice.”

Prisma Pink froze as she heard that voice pour through her ears, causing her to turn around and look at the top of the fountain, her eyes widening ever slightly as she noticed who was standing there. A very familiar figure, one that now looked upon her with nothing but disdain.

“General…” She paused, closing her eyes as she slowly breathed. “Shirabe Sakura.” No need to beat around the bush. They both knew who she had once been.

The white-haired woman clad in pure black military gear jumped off the fountain, landing in front of the uncertain girl, a deep and sharp glare pouring from her eyes. “You don’t get to say that name any longer.” She said, darkness pouring from her hands as it materialized into the form of a blade. Not unlike the one the Shogun had wielded in the past.

“...I suppose you’re right.” Prisma Pink said, closing her eyes. “I was the one to take that away from you. It’d be an insult to call you what you lost.” She muttered, as she looked into her eyes with a much softer gaze streaming from hers.

General Black nodded, stepping closer until the tip of her blade was up against the new heroine’s throat. “Why?” She asked, letting it nearly sink into her skin, drawing just a droplet of blood. “Why didn’t you ask for help? You knew this could happen. You never just stop and think about what others want.” A single tear ran down her face.

“I never could do that. Not while I was a General.” The heroine said, wincing as the pain flowed through her. “So this is what you felt, when I beat you time and time again.” She muttered, a few tears running down her cheeks. “Ironic, and terrible at the same time…”

The white-haired girl, the corrupted mockery of herself, drew her blade back. “Are you going to let me corrupt you, just like you corrupted me? Or are you going to stand against me, knowing what would happen? You’ve been on the giving end of all these defeats. You know you can’t stand up against the Empire.” She said, carefully telling her the same words that she knew the answer to.

Prisma Pink nodded as she slowly opened her eyes. A hint of drained color pouring from them, leaving her eyes as grey as they once were. “I know. I know I can’t stand up to the Shade Empire. No matter what, they’ll beat us down. Just like what happened to you and the others.” She said, taking a deep breath as she stepped towards her…

General Black smiled as she slowly sheathed the blade inside the ground, opening her arms. Ready and willing to accept her back into their ranks. “I’m glad you see sense. I’m glad you know what’ll happen.” She said, closing her arms as she waited for her to give her a comforting, and eventually corrupting hug…

Which was why she opened her eyes in confusion once she felt a fist meeting her chest, and an eyebrow slowly raised up. “...What are you doing..?” She asked, a hint of fury appearing behind her irises.

“Discarding this farce.” Prisma Pink said as she let her arm fall, looking into the white-haired girl’s eyes as her baton appeared in her other hand. “Because there’s no way I can just give up without trying. Sakura.” She said, smiling as softly as she could.

General Black felt the fury pouring through her body as she grabbed her blade once more, quickly swinging it towards the girl's head. But it was blocked. By the baton that held her powers. “YOU DON’T GET TO USE THAT NAME! YOU DON’T GET TO SAY THOSE THINGS! YOU TOOK THEM AWAY FROM ME, YOU DON’T GET TO PLAY THE HERO!”

“I don’t care!” The heroine cried out, as a bright pink light started to pour from her chest. “I didn’t want this power! I didn’t want to lose my loyalty to the Shade Empire!” She shouted louder, as the bright grew brighter. “But that’s what happened! I was given this power, and…” She turned quiet for just a moment, as her smile turned into a grin. “I want to see if I can beat you like this. Just like before.”

The black-clad girl could feel the tears running down her face. “You’re the worst.” She said softly. Despite the way that he had changed into a girl that looked disturbingly like she did when she was still a hero… He was still the same strangely honor-filled thing underneath. The same thing she had fallen in love with. “Then I suppose the only course of action that I can take, is to go all out and give you the challenge you crave. Is that it, Sakura?”

“It is. Our roles may be reversed, but that doesn’t mean I won’t beat you, General Black!” Prisma Pink, now taking on the mantle and the name of her former enemy turned ally turned enemy, cried out as the light consumed her.  “CHROMA CHANGE! PINK!”

The light tugged at her clothes until they turned into nothing more than string, only to turn them back into an incredibly poofy looking dress. One that was just as big and as cumbersome as any piece of armor, just replace all of the parts that would protect her with fluff and puff to make sure she looked as pretty as she could.

It wasn’t just her outfit that changed either. Her hair quickly turned bright pink as it grew longer, extending into two pigtails that reached all the way down to her thighs as she brandished her baton, the thing brimming with power as it turned the same color as her hair. She was ready to fight, now that she was filled with Chroma’s power. Even if she wasn’t going to heed the fairy’s wishes, should she find a way to return…

“The Sound of Friendship! Prisma Pink!” She cried out, pointing her baton at the girl she had once allied herself with. The girl who she had turned to the dark side. The girl who now stood against her, as a minion of the Shade Empire. “General Black! I will turn you back to the side of good!”

General Black laughed as she let her finger slide across the dull edge of her blade. Little by little, mystic runes from other worlds started to light up along the side, until the whole thing grew black with wicked power. “You won’t be able to turn me back, Prisma Pink! Not until you beg at my feet, like the little puppy that you are!”

The villainess disappeared in a flash, only to appear on top of the fountain that she had once perched atop of. Little by little, the waters started to darken, turning a foul black as she sank the blade into the very tip top of it. All while letting its energies pour into the fountain, her wicked grin growing bit by bit.

Suddenly, she shoved the whole thing into the fountain, causing it to rumble and glow. “BE BLESSED BY THE SHADE AND COME TO LIFE! ANIMA MONSTER!” She cried out, as the energies completely consumed it.

From a mere decorative piece in the middle of a park, the fountain started to shatter as it changed. It grew arms by letting the sides shatter and hang off, with the water pouting around it to form a proper ‘limb’. Legs met a similar fate, water drooling off the broken sides until they coalesced underneath it, while the head was little more than the fountain itself, wicked eyes forming inside the blackened water.

“Behold, Prisma Pink! Your opponent and first trial! Anima Aqua!” General Black laughed as her blade appeared in her hands once more, the energies dying down now that they had been poured into the monster. “Can you get a hang of your abilities quickly, or will you fall against it and be turned into little more than a guppy swimming through its corrupted waters? Show me your resolve, Prisma Pink! Show me what you’re made of, and show me if you can take up the role I once had!” If nothing else, she was enjoying the chance to cut loose. It had been quite a while since the girl saw the General this unabashedly happy.

There was just one problem. One teeny problem that Prisma Pink had honestly thought about, while not really thinking about getting to the point where it would be an issue. Namely the fact that she didn’t know how to use her powers. Sure, she knew how to transform thanks to hearing the old Prisma Pink go through the motions again and again, but actually use them for something worthwhile..?

“How’s thiiissss?!” She cried out as she pointed the baton straight at the fountain monster, a drop of sweat running down her face as it didn’t really do anything. It just shone a pink light in its direction, leaving her utterly vulnerable as its blackened water arm went flying straight at her, knocking her towards one of the trees before she had a chance to block it.

Thankfully, she could catch herself before she ended up smashing through the tree. But that didn’t make the experience of being punched any better. It just meant she dealt with the result.

“Is that all you’ve got? Good grief, and I thought I had a rough time when I started out.” General Black made scathing commentary from above Anima Aqua, resting her head on her palm. “If you don’t put up a fight sometime soon, you really will be turned into a fish. Then I’ll just have to reraise you as a mermaid, so we can be together again!”

Prisma Pink grit her teeth a little as she got up once more, taking a deep breath as she tried to imagine what it was like being a magical girl. If only she had bothered keeping a closer eye on what her and her allies were doing when she fought them as the Shogun. This part would be so much easier..!

“Say good night, Prisma Pink! Anima Aqua! Swallow her whole!” The General commanded, and the living water monster answered her call with an obedient punch, the fist headed straight for the heroine…

Only for it to be caught in mid-air, courtesy of two bright lights. Two that shone almost as brightly, if not brighter than the pink one that had swallowed Sakura whole and transformed her into the form she was best suited for…

“Really? You can’t handle a fountain? You should quit while you’re ahead if you’re this bad at fighting!”

“I’m here! I’m here, I’m here! Sakura!”

The blue and the yellow lights in front of her started speaking, fading away to reveal the two heroines… or rather, the Generals that had been forced into these roles. Traitorix and Kuma, or rather…

“Sora. Kumako. Glad to see you both.” Prisma Pink said as she stood tall, her body aching as she took a deep breath. “What took you so long?” She grinned a little, like this was nothing new for them.

Prisma Blue narrowed her eyes. “You could’ve waited until I said my name to spoil the surprise.” She muttered as she swung her own baton towards the fist that she held back, her own outfit looking remarkably similar to the one her pink-clad friend wore, just with a few more functional strips of cloth near her waist.

“I-I was..  Iiiiii was eating, sorry, Sakura!” Prisma Yellow cried out as she started crying a little from how flustered she was. Though not before swinging her baton as hard as she could, sending a powerful burst of energy out.

Their energies mixed together and formed a fist that knocked the fountain back, letting the three girls stand side by side like they had always been dutiful heroines working with one another, and not villains that had corrupted their opponents…

“Sorry, Sora.” Prisma Pink grinned a little as she swung her own baton a little, letting small sparks pour forth. “I’m just happy that you’re both here. Now we can end this!” She shouted, looking up at the black-clad girl floating above. “You see us, General!?”

General Black laughed. Of course she wasn’t the only one that had been converted. But to see that slimy puppet and that big bear turned into a tall defender and a chubby berserker? She might actually need to hold her laughter. It was too good. “I see you all. And I see how little you’ll be able to do against my Anima Aqua! Give up before it’s too late, Tri-Prisma!”

Prisma Blue rubbed the back of her neck as she put forth her baton. “Listen. We’re only doing this so we can prepare for the big betrayal. Got it?” She said, huffing a little. She was still going to stay true to her beliefs. Even if it felt nice to have people looking up to her.

“I wanna go back and eat with Daichi! We gotta beat it!” Prisma Yellow cried out, a blush on her cheeks as the two looked at her. “H-He’s a good friend! Don’t look at me like that!” She cried out, blushing brighter as both of them smirked in response to her weak defenses.

Prisma Pink closed her eyes as she held her baton forth, their tips meeting. “Let’s give her a roll call, before we deal with this monster. Okay?” She said, and both of her allies nodded, each taking a step back...

“The Skies of Justice! Prisma Blue!”

“The Sweetest Love! Prisma Yellow!”

“The Sound of Friendship! Prisma Pink!”

“Tri-Prisma!” They shouted in unison, their batons crossing as their energies erupted forth. “Our colors will free the world!” Their voices echoed as the sky above turned as bright and as colorful as them, ready to defeat the enemy in front of them…

General Black laughed as she spread her arms. “Then show me what you’ve got, Tri-Prisma!” She shouted, as Anima Aqua tossed its fist forth once more, clashing against their colors once final time…

Letting everything be consumed by bright light, heralding the start of three young girls’ brand new story.

---

In the deepest, darkest part of the Shade Empire, a single woman opened her eyes, letting the moon illuminate her form.

“So, they’ve become their own antithesis. Poetic, though repulsive.” The woman in black said, sighing as she slowly ran her hands along her cheeks. “And here I thought I’d be done with this world today…”

The moon’s light shone upon two other figures, each of them giggling in their own way. One clad in a maternal apron that left nothing to the imagination, and the other dressed in the biggest and most extravagant dress, where the only part of her body that wasn’t covered up was her humongous breasts…

“Ohohoho! You should just leave them to us, my Empress!” The regal-dressed woman cried out, licking her lips. “Their demise will be sweeter than the candy you feed me… And they’ll be humiliated, once they go through what I have.”

The apron-clad matron sighed softly. “I wish I could train them like I had done for Kuma, but they don’t seem to have that little element that makes them squirm when I touch them…” She giggled as her eyes opened to reveal dangerously crimson eyes for a woman of her type. “No matter. I’ll just have to make sure they understand, the hard way.”

Empress Shade’s frown turned into a smile. Oh yes. If her latest enemies were made from poetic irony, it only made sense to sic their former enemies on them as well. And General Black would need the backup.

But sooner or later, this world would belong to her. No matter what Tri-Prisma would do. Just like every other world she had conquered, it would fall to the Shade Empire.

It was only a matter of time before this strange light was snuffed out like the others that came before… And then, Shade would rule once again.
