[Hypnosis, Hero TF]
“My my my. You’re looking quite dull, my little Wendy. What’s the matter? Did you end up losing yourself in your studies again, and losing out on another day with your dear friends?”
The voice of one rich-sounding girl resounded around the ordinary park as she took a seat on the utterly normal bench with a rather calm and collected and ordinary looking girl sitting right there.
The girl in question, Wendy, had short red hair with green streaks which made her look like she was a form of spiraling ice cream, and she completed that look by wearing striped clothes that matched those colors. A scarf, a sweater, even her socks were striped just like her hair was. But that only served to make her seem quite… Ordinary. Even though her colors were a bit garish, she didn’t act like they made her special in any way.
“I’m glad to see you too, Valentine.” Wendy said with the softest voice she could muster. Really, the sight of the slightly older girl, whose hair was so platinum blonde that it almost reflected the light of the sun whenever it shone down on her, was enough to make the red-and-green girl smile from the depths of her heart. There was nothing in the world that brought her as much joy as her. But the question she had asked was enough to weigh her heart down as she looked down at the ground. “I don’t know if studying’s the problem anymore… Since I haven’t been reading for the last week.”
“Dreadful! Goodness me, are you starting to rot, Wendy? I can arrange for a Doctor to examine you. I know quite a lot, and their medical skills are revered amongst my class. I’m sure they’ll be able to find what’s ailing you.” Valentine said, getting back on her feet almost as quickly as she had sat down. Well, when you had a dress that was covered in layers upon layers of frills, sitting down comfortably wasn’t exactly easy. Neither was moving around in that dress, but one of her stature had gotten used to it at this point.
Wendy chuckled a little when her friend got so wound up about something as simple as that. “I know I can count on you when the going gets rough, Valentine. I really do.” She said, before stretching a little as she let her body rest against the back of the bench. “It’s just… I don’t know why I’m doing a lot of what I do. What am I supposed to aim for? Am I just supposed to go through life with no real goal..? I never really stopped to think about what could make me happy, or if studying ever would make me happy. Even work’s starting to sound awful…”
Valentine grimaced as she listened to her friend. But a lady like her always had a plan up her sleeve. A plan to make her friend as happy as she could be. There was no reason for her to keep sulking around for long, she wouldn’t get anywhere like that. She’d know, she went through the exact same routine before she realized what she was good at.
“Wendy, would you be so kind as to extend your arm a little?” The platinum-blonde rich girl asked, smiling from ear to ear as she looked kindly into her dearest friend’s eyes. Refusing to break eye contact to make sure that she couldn’t read her intentions.
Wendy didn’t hesitate, reaching her arm out after her friend asked for it. What confused her was what happened after that, as she felt something snapping around her wrist. She wasn’t really focusing on what was happening, which prompted her to look in complete confusion at her wrist…
The thing that had been snapped around her wrist looked like a spiral. Or rather, looking at it more closely, it was like a barely protruding whirlwind? At least, that’s what the shape looked like. Not only that, but it was easy to tell that it could spin. But what would she need a spinning wrist toy for..?
As Wendy dwelled on the thought for a few moments, she ended up snickering and laughing, looking at her friend with a proper smile on her face. “Where’d you get this junk, Valentine? You never give me something silly, you always give me extravagant silverware and stuff that’s supposed to be kept in your cupboards and such. Not something like this!”
“It’s not junk, my dear Wendy. You’ll understand very soon.” Valentine said with a foreboding yet cheerful tone, as she undid a binding on her waist, allowing her access to the parasol that had been resting against her body. “And with that, I bid you Adieu. Try to catch some sleep before your next exam, alright? I may have the best quality coffee in the city, but that doesn’t mean you can just slack off and pass out just as you finish the test.”
“I will, I will. Thank you for everything, Valentine.” Wendy said, as she focused her gaze back down on the device wrapped around her wrist after her friend left her to her own devices.
It was such a strange thing. It was so out of the ordinary for her friend to offer her something like this. What was she trying to say? Was she trying to cheer her up in an unorthodox way? No, that couldn’t be it. She knew the way that Valentine tried to cheer people up. It was usually a lot more bombastic and involved… Oh, gosh, she forgot about that time. How many strippers had she hired!? ...Then again they were really pretty girls so how could she complain?
As Wendy’s mind started to drift off, her eyes kept looking down at the device. And her instincts told her to spin it. Something that her conscious mind couldn’t register, but her hands could. And within a few seconds, that protruding spiral-like figure started to spin.
She blinked as she looked down at it, but her eyes started spinning in tune with the device. She could barely hold onto her thoughts once it started spinning, leaving her utterly vulnerable to whatever the device was meant to do.
...Honestly, she had seen things like these on TV when she was younger. These colorful devices that heroes used to transform into spandex-clad heroes. Those Sentai types. But this was just one device…
If it really was that kind of device, then shouldn’t she use it? Maybe it’d break her out of her funk. Maybe it was what she had always meant to be. A girl like her, using her natural power and her device to help those that needed it. She did remember the times when she had to help Valentine with the most basic of tasks. So it made sense, right..?
As she reached for the spinning dial once more, she heard a loud screech and she felt her body trembling. Then another screech, and a bunch of footsteps approaching at rapid speeds. Before she knew it, the bench she sat on had been completely surrounded. By men and women wearing deep black spandex, and a single belt with an inverted heart buckle…
“Y-You are… You’re those baddies from TV!” Wendy cried out as her eyes darted back and forth. How were they- Okay, no, they were very capable of being real. There were genuine heroes in this city, so it made sense that minions like these could exist.
“Oooooohohohoho!”
And as if on cue, their leader made her grand appearance. A girl wearing that very same inverted heart on her face as a mask, her long platinum hair stretching down to her heels as she parted her minions and stepped closer to the bench. Showing off the jewels that had been woven into her leotard, which showed off her beautiful body and emphasized every single erotic area at the same time. All topped off by the cape-like skirt she wore around her waist, bringing even more emphasis to her naked legs.
“So, we have a little fan. I, Precious Heart of the Diabolical Hearts, have a fan! Isn’t that wonderful, my little heartlings?” The villainess asked her minions, and each of them agreed by screeching in a high pitched fashion. “I knew you’d agree! But unfortunately, I detest fans! They know too much about me to live without being under my command!”
The ‘Heartlings’ got closer to the bench as they listened to their leader, Wendy remaining on guard as she looked at all of them with a fierce gaze in her eyes. “Therefore! Heartlings! Grab her and subject her to the full brunt of your Diabolical Hearts! They should be more than enough to deal with a morsel like her!”
Before the small army of mooks had the chance to encroach upon the bench fully and grab the girl who knew too much, it felt like time slowed down. Wendy could see them all trying to grab towards her, and the only thing that could stop them…
Was the item she wore around her wrist. That dial, that whirlwind-like thing that still softly spun. If it worked just like the devices in the shows she had watched as a child, then… Then..!
“WIND CHANGE!”
Wendy trusted her gut as she spun it as hard as she could, and at that very moment, a violent wind kicked up around her. That very same wind was more than enough to kick away every single one of those Heartlings, leaving her completely safe from their attacks.
But keeping her safe wasn’t the only thing that the wind did. No, the Winds of Justice that brought Change to the Battlefield would not be quelled by remaining a defensive barrier. They would answer her cry for help and give her what she needed to fight back against the menace that had appeared before her!
The winds wrapped around her, tearing apart her clothes and replacing them with a skin tight red suit with slight green wind patterns filled in all across her body. Following the same theme of her original colors, yet giving them brand new purpose.
Despite the way that it clung to her, despite the way that it should be restricting her… She felt nothing but powerful when she wore this suit. She felt like she could take on the world. But more importantly… She felt like she could protect herself. And she could protect Valentine, to pay her back for everything she had done for her!
Wendy took a deep breath as she let the winds burst out from her, clearing the air and spinning around for a moment before striking an impressive pose. “The hotblooded wind, Red Whirlwind!” The new hero dubbed herself, letting the power of the winds guide her.
Precious Heart laughed in response to the new hero’s appearance. “Heartlings! Your mistress will be very sad if you falter against this newcomer! Get to work!” The inverted heart-masked woman said as she stepped back, with all of the mooks quickly rushing to their Mistress’ side to serve her every word.
This had gone way better than expected. All she had to do was confiscate another hero’s transformation device, get her fellow Heart to alter the mechanics of the device ever slightly to induce a heroic sense of righteousness in the user, and then hand it off to her friend and watch it work its magic.
Valentine had only disappeared for a moment, so she could change into her villainous persona. A persona that she took on whenever she was dangerously bored and needed to spice up her rich life. And that spice was what she had given her dearest Wendy. Just from the other side of the spectrum of ‘Good and Evil’.
Now, she had a proper rival. All the other heroes were too much for her. But one that she could control, to an extent, so the two could have wonderful bouts? And one that she could help improve with every bout?
This was what Precious Heart lived for. And soon, Red Whirlwind would come to understand the importance of this moment, as it would lead to her life turning around for the better.
For now, however, Evil and Good had to clash. For the first, yet nowhere near the last time.
