[Idol TF, Obsession, Brainwashing]
After everything in Inaba was dealt with, the tv world, the murders, the fog, everything, life slowly started going back to normal. Which for most was a pretty good thing. For Satonaka Chie? It was nice that she didn’t have to worry about her friends anymore, but she couldn’t help but feel a little dissatisfied. She still wanted to go through the world inside the TV and kick some butt.
While she couldn’t head back in, Kujikawa Rise, one of the friends she had made over the course of this long year, decided to give her something to concentrate on for some time. A CD containing a lot of different songs, both hers and the other idols that she competed against on stage.
Chie was never the type to listen to this girly stuff, but she didn’t want to let down her friend. So she popped the thing in whenever she wanted to train, and used the peppy tunes to structure her workout. It was better than doing nothing with it, especially since it wasn’t the kinda stuff she liked.
At least, that’s what she thought at first. She really did think it was just a bunch of bubblegum pop that didn’t have much meaning, considering lots of pretty girls had to just waltz around on stage while singing. Those kinds of songs couldn’t be difficult, otherwise they’d have to work harder while performing.
But day after day, she found herself listening to the tracks more and more. They were infectious, she had to give them that. In fact, she once forgot all about time, working out until midnight as she quickly realized that the music had been blaring the entire day. And nobody came to bother her so she never realized it.
“This music is really something, huh?” Chie thought to herself at that point, wondering if it really was healthy for her to listen to it for so long. But then again, it did sound really good. So why should she stop?
She turned it back on the next day. But instead of training with her usual kicks, she decided to just sit down and listen to it. Not through the speakers either, through the headphones she never used. It was easier to listen to it that way, and she wouldn’t be bothering anybody throughout the night if she ended up spacing out again.
Now that she could focus on nothing but the music, she had to admit that it was a bit better than she had originally given it credit for. Sure, she knew that Rise was good at singing, and she could tell that based on the songs that were done by her on the cd, but…
Compared to the other idols, who she had never seen before? She didn’t even know their faces, but she could feel all the emotion pouring off their lips as they sang like their lives depended on it. She could feel their hearts reaching out towards hers, trying to tell her something.
The young lady could barely breathe after listening to the entire album back to back, her heart pounding against her chest. It was an astonishing experience. To the point where her nethers were more than a little messy, her emotions having gone overboard at least once during all of that.
Chie had to admit… She was smitten with the idea of idols. With the way that they poured their very selves into their songs. What looked like glitz and glamour on the surface was nothing but the truth. They really were that passionate, and they wanted their fans to understand it.
...Now that she thought about it, that was something she tried to do with her karate. She liked putting her everything into it, which meant that she always favored strong attacks while they were exploring the tv world. But… They could do all of this without throwing a single punch.
She was envious. Of what they could do with just their voices. Of what she couldn’t do. And she hated it. She really did. But she quelled that anger, that terrible feeling, by listening to the album one more time. Then another. Then ten more times.
Chie was practically obsessed. And she didn’t know how to explain it. The words that flowed out of those earphones just resonated with her on a greater level. And it meant that she knew exactly what to do.
The next morning, as the light poured in through her window, she sprinted straight down to Junes to prepare for her new pursuit. It meant that she had to owe a good deal of cash to her family, but it would be worth it.
Once she got home, she set everything up. She sound-proofed her room… And she began to sing. She sang straight from the heart.
She was terrible. But it was the thought that mattered most. That was what all those songs had taught her. And she knew that she could pick herself back up with every attempt.
Chie sang and sang. At first she sang along to the songs on the CD, hoping that she could hit the same notes. But eventually, as she started getting better, she started singing a song all on her own.
It wasn’t just singing that she tried getting better at. She knew that she couldn’t show up on stage in an outfit like hers. What kind of idol would even wear spats and kung fu-themed jackets? No, she needed something prettier..!
A few calls back and forth with Rise, and the girl hooked her up with one of her old outfits. It fit her surprisingly snugly, though it was a little tighter around her bust. She didn’t understand, but she didn’t care either. So what if she had gotten a bit fatter around her breasts? She was too focused on pursuing her new passion.
Singing became her everything. The more she sang, the happier she felt. The brighter the blush on her cheeks as she sang into the mirror.
Eventually, Chie started singing out on the street. And she noticed that people were starting to notice her. She couldn’t go out like a normal person after that, because she was much, much more. At least, that’s what her mind was telling her at this point. And when had she ever ignored her intuition?
She needed to look pretty. She needed to look stylish. She needed to show the world that she wasn’t just a sporty girl who liked kicking people anymore. She was an idol at heart! She was supposed to sing her heart out to those that would listen, bedazzling them with her song and her moves!
But she couldn’t wear the same outfit that Rise had sent her. It wasn’t her own. She had to get one custom made. And that was harder than she thought, but she really, desperately wanted it.
Chie eventually found a way, thanks to one of the girls that heard her sing for the first time. She just happened to know how to sew, and after giving her a ‘private show’, which was little more than a song and a few nice ‘slips’ here and there, the two came to an agreement, leaving the idol-to-be with her very own uniform.
She couldn’t be happier. It was something she had always wanted. She didn’t even remember the days when she had been punching and kicking her way through life. She was always the type to sing, that’s what her heart told her. And that very same heart was no doubt the reason why her body had grown so satisfyingly plump. Not too big, but definitely not on the petite side as it was before.
Now, she had plenty to show. A nice window to show off the breasts that were trying to spill out of her top, and a skirt that was just short enough to show the cute panties that were decorated with an image of herself. The perfect way to advertise…
Chie sang more and more from that day. It was like she had been possessed by something. The song that left her lips was filled with every emotion she had ever kept within her, letting the notes dance across the skies. She felt utterly empowered by it all…
So much so that she barely recognized her friends when they came to listen to her. Or were they here to stop her? She wasn’t sure, because by the time the notes of her voice poured their way through their ears, they all stopped thinking and just cheered for the girl that they all loved. It brought a tear to her eye and a smile to her lips.
They understood her. They could feel her song. That was why they listened to her. That was why they cheered for her. And that was why she was going to head towards stardom, so she could sing against Rise on the same stage as her…
Forgetting everything about her former self, Chie continued to sing. Gone was the kung-fu freak, now only the song-obsessed sexy idol remained...
