Chronos was getting tired of having his minions slain and his house ruined by Melinoë. Even when he defeated Hades' daughter, she just slipped away to the shadows to attack again the next night.

The Titan hatched a plan, bribing a disaffected Gorgon to join his side. The creature lurked in Chronos's lair and ambushed Melinoë during what she thought was a safe respite.

A single glance at the creature turned Melinoë to stone before she could react or escape. Now the House of Chronos is at peace, and Hades' enchantress daughter decorates her father's former home as a mere statue.
