Dana was meditating by a lakeside when she heard a divine voice calling in her mind. Following it led her to a grassy clearing in the woods. "To become one with the earth," the voice said, "you must strip yourself bare, then step onto this pedestal." In the middle of the clearing say an old stone pedestal, eroded with age but oddly clear of moss. Eager to taste the nature spirit's power, Dana agreeably stripped off her clothes and stepped up onto the pedestal. As soon as she put her bare foot onto the ancient pedestal, she felt a union with the pedestal and the earth itself. She relaxed, accepting the feeling of communion and unity, until she realized something: she was not drawing strength from the earth, but rather the earth from her! She tried to step off, but found her legs, her face, even her breath unresponsive. Dana waited helplessly, unable to move or resist, as her magic flowed inexorably out of her and into the enchanted clearing. As the last of her strength left, Dana's sight began to dim, her mind darkened into a restful haze. Now Dana is just a nude stone statue decorating the woods.
