The bustling city street was coming to life in the morning light when a surprising and surreal scene unfolded. Clara, an ordinarily unassuming woman heading to work, suddenly felt a cold wave of magic. She paid it no mind until her reflection in a shop window revealed something inexplicably terrifying—her face had dramatically transformed.

Where her nose once was, a long, heavy elephant trunk had grown, swinging helplessly around her face. Two massive tusks protruded from her mouth, stretching her lips and turning her into a public spectacle.

"What has happened to me, why me?" she whispered desperately as her eyes grew wider with each passing second, holding back tears and amplified shock.

Several women gathered around the scene, unable to believe their eyes. Some covered their mouths, others stared in awe at this supernatural display. In the middle of it all stood a woman in a black cloak with a pointed hat—a witch, who seemed to be the author of this inexplicable transformation.

"It's her!" cried a woman in a light dress with a brown belt, pointing at the witch. Everything about her exuded power, and her eyes were filled with malicious delight.

"Clara, this is punishment for your pride," the witch said, her voice like a cold gust of wind. "You've forgotten to respect those who see beyond the limits of your small world."

The crowd watched in disbelief as the witch cast her gaze over the gathered onlookers. "Not everything is as it seems," she added cryptically, her words leaving a hint that nothing happened by chance.

Clara, engulfed in a wave of shame and helplessness, ran away. Tears streamed down her newly unrecognizable face, leaving wet traces. She ran through the streets, ignoring the looks of astonishment and ridicule. Her only thought was to get home, away from everything.

At home, within the safety of her small apartment, Clara fought furiously with her new body. She tried to tear off the trunk, tried to rid herself of the tusks, but her hysterical struggle resulted only in pain. They were part of her body, firmly attached, irremovable.

Exhausted from her futile battle and overwhelmed by despair, she eventually collapsed onto the bed and fell asleep in tears of exhaustion.

When she awoke the next morning, still with the trunk stretching to her waist and tusks supporting her chin, she grasped the harsh reality. This wasn't a nightmare, but her everyday life, bearing down on her as an unforgiving new reality that she would have to face.
