Sofia woke up to the silence of her own apartment and immediately felt her life had taken an unexpected turn. The mirror revealed what seemed like a nightmare—her face had transformed into a long elephant trunk and tusks protruding from her mouth. Overcome with horror and confusion, she fled her apartment in hopes of finding help or at least an explanation.

Her destination was the old seer she often visited for advice and comfort in troubling times. Sofia believed that if anyone had answers, it would be her. As she approached the seer's dwelling, her heart was filled with anxiety and despair.

Upon arrival, she saw three men standing nearby, engaged in conversation with the seer. Whatever their troubles were, they couldn't compare to her own visible torment, but each seemed deeply pensive, absorbed in their own thoughts.

The seer immediately noticed Sofia, her wise eyes full of concern. "Sofia," she said quietly, regarding her with empathy. "Your situation is tragic, but you are not alone, even if it feels that way."

"How am I supposed to live like this?" Sofia burst out desperately, tears streaming down a face she barely recognized as her own. "I look like... like something I'm not."

The seer stepped closer, measuring her with a thoughtful gaze. "What we see on the surface isn't always who we truly are. Your appearance may be altered, but you are still Sofia. The path to overcoming this will not be easy, but you are not facing it alone."

The men in the room paused their conversation and looked at Sofia, acknowledging her suffering. While their problems weren't the same, they understood that sometimes the hardest obstacle is what we can't change.

Sofia realized that while her situation was frightening and seemingly hopeless, the support she felt from those around her could be the first step to finding a way forward. Brave in her new life, she decided to fight with what fate had handed her and to search for answers alongside those who understood her despair.
