Thank you @Nightshade-QOV for playing with Milly and learning her abilities.
The lair of Mistress Nightshade was a marvel of villainous architecture—brushed steel, ominous shadows, and the sharp, rhythmic echo of leather cutting through the air.
Milly stood shackled to the industrial grate in the center of the room. Her wrists were secured above her head, chains allowing just enough slack for her to dance under the Mistress’s attention. She was dressed in the official henchwoman duty uniform: a metallic purple high-cut swimsuit that clung to her curves like liquid chrome, and the requisite perky purple satin bunny ears.
Mistress Nightshade circled her, a long, braided leather whip trailing on the floor. She looked formidable in sleek armored leather, her eyes focused on the canvas of Milly’s back.
"You have been performing well, Milly," Nightshade observed. "But a henchwoman must also know how to endure."
"I live to serve, Mistress," Milly replied, looking over her shoulder eagerly.
Nightshade flicked her wrist.
CRACK.
The whip bit into Milly’s lower back. It was a precise, stinging strike. Milly gasped, arching her spine. "Good," Nightshade murmured, striking again.
RIP-CRACK.
The tip of the whip caught the metallic fabric and shore right through it. The suit peeled away, exposing a strip of pale skin. Nightshade found a rhythm, working Milly over until the suit was tattered and Milly’s skin was a map of angry red welts. But beneath the surface, the Magic surged. The welts bloomed and vanished, the skin knitting together in milliseconds.
Milly panted, sweat slicking her skin. It was delicious... but not enough.
"Mistress," Milly panted. "Your aim is perfect. But my constitution... it has adjusted. I fear I need something deeper to truly break for you. Please... skip the leather. Use the voltage."
Milly nodded toward the gray supply cabinet. "The 'Synaptic Overload Generator'. Third shelf down."
Nightshade stared at her henchwoman—standing there in shreds, asking for industrial torture. "You are a dedicated little thing," she murmured, dropping the whip.
Nightshade returned with the heavy devices. She flipped the switches, filling the room with the angry hiss of electricity. She pressed the violet wand directly against Milly’s exposed ribs.
ZZZ-CRACK!
The electricity arced instantly. Milly screamed—a genuine cry of pain. Nightshade followed up, jamming the Seismic Resonator against Milly's hip bone. The vibration was cataclysmic.
But the Magic roared. Beneath the agony, the golden fire surged. Nightshade watched, expecting burns, but saw only glowing, pristine skin. Intrigued, she cranked the dials.
Nightshade worked her over with relentless efficiency, sweating with the effort of trying to crush the resistance out of her henchwoman. But Milly was a fortress.
She absorbed the violence, her skin glowing with a blinding golden light.
Finally, Nightshade jammed the wand against Milly’s heart, holding it until her own arms burned. Milly screamed—a long, continuous note of pure sensation—before going rigid.
Nightshade dropped the devices, stumbling back in exhaustion. She looked up. Milly hung there—pristine, glowing, a euphoric buzz humming audibly under her skin.
"Adequate, Mistress," Milly whispered.
Milly flexed her wrists. CLICK. The locks popped open. She dropped gracefully to the floor, the tattered strips of her swimsuit barely clinging to her. She knelt before Nightshade.
"How?" Nightshade whispered. "I burned you. How are you whole?"
Milly took Nightshade’s shaking hand and pressed it against her chest. The heat was supernatural.
"It still hurts, Mistress. But I learned a trick. I hold the pain... and let the magic turn it into gold." Milly’s eyes were wild. "I had a teacher before you. The Wizard of the Blockhouse."
Nightshade went still. "Alistair," she breathed. "You let him modify you?"
"He consecrated the canvas," Milly purred, trembling.
"And now, Mistress... the battery you just charged needs to be discharged. Use me. Please."
Nightshade looked at the glowing, trembling creature kneeling before her. The revelation of Alistair’s involvement changed the calculus. This wasn't just a minion; this was a masterpiece of dark art on loan.
"He turned you into a capacitor," Nightshade murmured, her voice losing its cool detachment and gaining a thick, hungry edge. "He built you to absorb... and then release."
She reached out, her gloved hand grabbing the tattered remains of the swimsuit at Milly’s neck and ripping it the rest of the way down. The metallic fabric fell away completely, leaving Milly naked, her skin radiating that intense, golden bio-luminescence.
"You need a conduit," Nightshade stated, stepping between Milly's kneeling legs. The leather of her armor creaked—a sound that made Milly’s heart hammer against her ribs.
"Yes, Mistress," Milly whined, the energy under her skin feeling like a thousand trapped birds. "Please. Ground me."
