Athene picks up a piece of salmon sashimi with her chopsticks, inspecting it with the precision of a surgeon—or a very picky cat—before popping it into her mouth.

She chews thoughtfully, her emerald eyes sliding over to Amethyst.

"So," she begins, gesturing vaguely with her chopsticks. "What is the tea with the dynamic duo? I haven't seen Bellie or Cecyme in a hot minute. Please tell me they haven't accidentally summoned a minor demon or set a curtain on fire. The vibe has been suspiciously quiet."

Amethyst takes a sip of sake, leaning back in the booth. She looks exhausted but satisfied, a small, mischievous smile tugging at the corner of her mouth.

"Bellie was being... difficult," Amethyst says, shaking her head. "Properly naughty. Just pushing every single button she could find. So, we had to intervene."

Athene leans forward, her elbows on the table, eyes gleaming. "Ooh. I love an intervention. Did you lock her in a tower? Take away her shiny things?"

"Better," Amethyst says flatly. "We dumped pasta on her."

Athene blinks, her smirk faltering for a microsecond.

"I'm sorry, you did what?"

"We poured an entire pot of pasta all over her," Amethyst clarifies, enjoying the look on Athene's face.

"And then... we handed her a toothbrush and told her to clean up the mess."

Athene stares at her for a long moment, silence stretching between them. Then, a low, delighted laugh bubbles up from her throat—a sound that is equal parts Valley Girl giggle and purring predator. She claps a hand over her mouth, her eyes crinkling.

"Wait, stop. That is iconic,"

Athene gasps.

"A toothbrush? That is so diabolical. That is the level of petty I aspire to daily. Please tell me she was furious. Please tell me there was tomato sauce involved."

"She was not happy," Amethyst admits, swirling her drink.

"But she scrubbed."

Athene shakes her head, looking at Amethyst with newfound respect. "Remind me never to annoy you when you're hungry.

That is some serious 'Bastet energy' right there. I approve. Ten out of ten."
