With thanks to @Nightshade-QOV for this epic battle in the ring.

The Setup: The Calm Before the Violence

The arena air is heavy, a thick soup of humidity, stale beer, and the greasy, savory scent of cheap hotdogs. Thousands of voices hum together, creating a vibration you can feel in the floorboards.

Inside the ropes, the air is thinner, sharper. It smells of ozone from the pyrotechnics and the distinct, medicinal sting of muscle spray.

Hanavari, the "Violet Comet," crouches in the corner. Her purple gear, usually bright and happy, looks darker under the harsh house lights. She stares across the canvas, not at a monster, but at her best friend.

Nightshade stands tall—the "Queen of Villains" in the flesh. She isn't bulky, but she is terrifyingly statuesque. She is cut from lean, dangerous steel, with long, powerful limbs defined by sinewy muscle. Her posture is regal and cold. She looks down her nose at Hanavari, radiating the arrogance of royalty looking at a peasant. For tonight, the friendship is dead. Nightshade cracks her knuckles, the sound cutting through the crowd noise like a gunshot.

The Bell Rings: Friends Become Enemies

DING! DING! DING!

There is no lock-up. No testing of strength. Nightshade strikes with the speed of a viper. Hanavari tries to roll under, but Nightshade uses her superior reach. She catches the smaller woman by the hair, halting her momentum with a sickening jerk.

"You wanted this!" Nightshade hisses, her voice dripping with venom. She hurls Hanavari into the turnbuckle—WHAM. The impact rattles the ring posts. The crowd winces collectively. This isn’t a technical showcase; it’s an execution.

Because this is No Holds Barred, the Queen respects no boundaries. She drags Hanavari to the apron and tosses her effortlessly to the outside floor. Hanavari hits the thin protective mats with a dull thud, clutching her ribs. The front row can hear the gasp for air, seeing the sweat fly off her purple hair like rain.

The Heat: The Queen Rules

Nightshade follows her out, stalking her prey with long, deliberate strides. She grabs a fan's popcorn bucket and dumps it over Hanavari’s head—supreme disrespect. The crowd boos with venom. Nightshade grabs Hanavari by the throat and drives her spine-first into the steel ring post.

Clang.

The sound is hollow and metallic. Hanavari slumps to the concrete floor. Nightshade looks down, a flicker of hesitation in her eyes—just for a microsecond—before she sneers, stomping on Hanavari’s hand to crush the resistance. She rolls the "Violet Comet" back into the ring like she’s taking out the trash.

Nightshade hooks the leg with lazy arrogance. Referee: ONE! ... TWO! ... Hanavari gets a shoulder up. It’s weak, but it’s there. Nightshade sighs, annoyed. She pulls Hanavari up for a Torture Rack. She bends Hanavari’s spine across her shoulders, using her height to stretch the ligaments to their breaking point. Hanavari screams, her face turning crimson, but she refuses to tap. She knows the Queen would never forgive her if she quit.

The Turning Point: Magic in the Air

Nightshade gets greedy. She goes for a Powerbomb, hoisting Hanavari high into the lights to show off her strength. But Hanavari finds her center of gravity. In mid-air, she shifts her weight, raining desperate punches onto Nightshade’s temple. Pop. Pop. Pop.

The Queen stumbles.

Hanavari spins, her legs scissoring around Nightshade’s neck—a Hurricanrana! The leverage whips Nightshade’s tall frame across the ring. The canvas booms like a bass drum as Nightshade hits the mat. The crowd erupts, the roar deafening, shaking the dust from the rafters.

Both women are down, chests heaving, sweat pooling on the canvas. Hanavari feeds off the noise. She nips up to her feet, adrenaline masking the pain. Nightshade swings a blind clothesline, aiming to take Hanavari's head off, but Hanavari ducks, bounces off the ropes, and connects with a Springboard Crossbody.

The Finish: The Starfall

Nightshade is flat on her back, dazed, her long dark hair fanned out across the mat.

Hanavari sees the opening. She drags herself to the corner. The turnbuckles are slick with sweat, making the climb dangerous. She reaches the top rope, balancing precariously as the crowd rises to their feet, thousands of camera flashes sparkling like a galaxy around her.

She takes a deep breath, looking down at her friend one last time. She leaps.

For a second, gravity forgets her. She rotates backward—graceful, terrifying, beautiful—a Shooting Star Press.

She lands perfectly across Nightshade’s chest. The impact knocks the wind out of both of them. Referee: ONE! ... TWO! ... THREE!

The Aftermath: The Embrace

The bell rings frantically. Hanavari’s music blasts—an upbeat, magical synth melody that feels jarring after the violence.

Hanavari rolls off, gasping for air, clutching her ribs where she hit the post. Nightshade is slow to rise, shaking the cobwebs from her head. She sits up, glaring. She stares at Hanavari with that same regal intensity. The referee steps in, fearing the Queen's wrath.

Nightshade shoves the referee aside. She looms over the seated Hanavari. The crowd goes silent, fearing a post-match assault.

Then, the Queen breaks character. She extends a hand.

Hanavari looks at the hand, then up at the bruised face of her friend. She smiles, grabbing Nightshade’s wrist. Nightshade pulls her up effortlessly and pulls her into a crushing hug. She whispers something into Hanavari's ear that the cameras don't catch—probably "Good fight."

Nightshade raises Hanavari’s arm high. The two friends stand center ring, battered, bruised, smelling of sweat and steel, but united once again. The rivalry is over; the friendship remains.
