From the Murder Museum, Hannah Cross (Aka Hanavari) has been paralysed by compromised agents of Concord and Maddox Kreed has ideas to capture Hanavari.
"He then gestured to a dark, second containment bay. Standing in the shadows, chained to the wall, was the Iron Maiden of Augsburg.
"But you... you're not a 'catalyst,'" Kreed said, his voice full of mock pity.
"You're the bait. 'Janus'—this chaotic entity that follows you—is a problem. It cost me three good men and a very expensive van. I want it. And I'm going to use you to get it."
"Put her in," Kreed ordered.
Harris and Cole dragged Hannah's rigid body to the Iron Maiden and unlatched the heavy, groaning iron door, revealing the dark, spiked, body-shaped interior.
"Dr. Thorne," Kreed said, speaking to his curator, who was standing by a console.
"The pinning protocol. We don't want to damage the bait, just... keep it fresh."
Thorne, his face a mask of academic curiosity as he peered at Hannah, typed a command.
With a low, hydraulic snnnk, the primary, lethal spikes inside the Maiden's door retracted.
A secondary set of smaller, needle-sharp, 4-inch spikes remained, designed not to kill, but to hold.
The two agents lifted the frozen, rigid Hannah and placed her, standing, inside the Iron Maiden.
Her feet rested on the metal base, her back a fraction of an inch from the spikes in the rear.
She was a statue, slotted perfectly into the waiting, body-shaped void.
"Close it," Kreed commanded."
