A storybook of Hanavari demonstrating her new magicial chains to @Nightshade-QOV, with Milly modelling them.

Behold, the pinnacle of arcane security!" Hanavari declared, her voice echoing in the stone chamber. "The Aether-Chains. Unbreakable, unpickable, and utterly inescapable. Our lovely Milly is demonstrating the complete set.

Nightshade, cloaked in shadow and a sleek black catsuit, circled the platform slowly. Her gaze was sharp, analytical. "Unbreakable is a bold claim, Hanavari. I've heard such boasts before, only to see them crumble to dust."

Hanavari's smile didn't falter. "Ah, but these are no mere iron and enchantment. They are woven from pure magical energy, keyed to the wearer's own life force. The more one struggles, the stronger they become. Go on, Milly, give it a little tug."

Milly strained against the bonds, her muscles taut. The purple light of the shackles flared, and faint, shimmering lines of energy wrapped tighter around her wrists and ankles. She grunted, the effort clear on her face, but the chains didn't give an inch.

"Impressive," Nightshade conceded, tapping a finger against her chin. "But a henchwoman's strength is finite. What of external forces? A well-placed spell? A counter-charm"

"Anticipated and accounted for," Hanavari said smoothly. "The Aether-Chains absorb ambient magic. Any spell cast upon them only feeds their power. Please, feel free to test them yourself. I insist."

A flicker of dark energy coalesced in Nightshade's palm. She approached the platform, her eyes narrowed in concentration. "Very well. Let us see if your creation can withstand a whisper of the void."

Nightshade thrust her hand forward, and the bolt of dark magic shot towards the shackle on Milly's right wrist. Instead of shattering, the shackle pulsed with a brilliant violet light, absorbing the energy completely.

For the first time, a genuine smile touched Nightshade's lips. "Ingenious," she murmured, the dark energy in her hand dissipating. "You've woven a paradox. A prison that feeds on the very magic meant to destroy it."

"The finest for my most discerning clientele," Hanavari replied with a flourish. "They come in three standard finishes, but for you, Nightshade, we can discuss custom enchantments. Shall we move to my office to finalize the order?"
