The Round Chamber was the heart of the Blockhouse's power, and it was here that the full council had been called. The air, usually filled with the scent of old leather and quiet contemplation, was now thick with a palpable tension. This was not a meeting of performers; it was a war council.

Stephanie sat at the head of the vast, polished oak table, her posture radiating a calm, absolute authority. To her right sat the five master magicians: Victor, a thundercloud of dark energy, his presence seeming to lower the temperature of the room; Claude, looking unusually serious, his usual theatrical flamboyance stripped away; Felix, his fingers drumming a silent, complex rhythm on the table's surface; Alistair, his expression a mask of cool, analytical detachment; and Maximillian, a faint, knowing smirk playing on his lips, the Trickster observing the new pieces on the board.

At the other end of the table, Hannah stood, her back straight, a shimmering holographic display of data from Tinbunny's folder hovering in the air before her. Beside her, offering quiet support, was Milly, no longer just an assistant but a trusted member of this inner circle.

"The meeting is called to order," Stephanie began, her voice cutting through the silence.

"Hannah, report."

Hannah took a breath, her forensic accountant's precision taking over. "The situation is a hostile takeover," she stated, her tone flat and analytical. She gestured to the hologram.

"The primary players are Aether, a forgotten primordial deity, and Parademons, acting as his mercenaries. The catalyst is a compound referred to as 'Nymph Dust'."

She expanded an image of the shimmering powder. "Tinbunny confirms this substance normally has a half-life of less than twenty-four hours. This sample, however, is stable. It doesn't decay."

Felix leaned forward, his eyes gleaming with scientific curiosity. "A stabilized psychoactive compound with a magical base? Fascinating. The energy required to maintain that state would be immense."

"Precisely," Hannah agreed, moving to the core of her analysis.

"I've structured this as a three-stage leveraged buyout of mortal souls. Stage One: Generating the Asset. The Nymph Dust induces city-wide lust. This mass outpouring of passion and desire isn't for Aether; it's raw, chaotic energy.

Stage Two: The Payment. The Parademons are mercenaries. They feed on this raw, chaotic psychic fallout. It's their salary. Stage Three: The Profit. This is Aether's play. He's a god of light; he doesn't feed on chaos. He feeds on what comes after. Mortals saturated with that much life force have souls that burn brighter. He's priming them for worship, cultivating a crop to restore his power."

A profound silence fell over the room as the sheer, diabolical elegance of the plan sank in.

It was Claude who broke the quiet, a slow, appreciative smile spreading across his face. "Magnifique," he breathed, his theatricality returning. "A city-wide orgy as a smokescreen for a divine resurrection! The sheer spectacle! It is crude, an insult to the art, but one must admire the audacity!"

"He makes a feast of mortal souls," Victor rumbled, his voice a low growl of contempt. "He is a parasite, just like Visconti. He defiles the natural order for his own gain. The solution is simple: we find him, and we cut him out."

"A direct confrontation would be crude, Victor," Alistair countered smoothly, his gaze distant and calculating. "He is using their own desires against them, farming them like cattle. A brute-force attack is what he would expect from 'gaudy performers'. We must be more elegant. We must poison the crop."

"The Nymph Dust is the key," Felix interjected, his hologram now showing complex chemical chains. "If I can analyze the stabilizing agent, I could theoretically create a counter-agent. An antihistamine, of sorts."

"Why reinvent the wheel, Felix?" Maximillian purred, finally joining the conversation. As the resident Alchemist, his interest was piqued. "This isn't the first time we've seen a magical compound designed to induce a specific, overwhelming state. We all remember the 'Bimbo Fever' outbreak. And we remember who was instrumental in finding the cure."

Alistair nodded, catching his meaning.

"Nightshade."

"Precisely," Maximillian affirmed. "She has already done extensive work in this field. It would be far more efficient for me to collaborate with her. A joint venture between an alchemist and a villainess to create something that spoils this god's entire banquet before it's even served."

"This brings us to the other anomaly," Alistair said, his gaze shifting to the file on Amethyst.

"The recent incident at her nature reserve. Why target her specifically?"

"Because she's perfect," Maximillian explained. "Once Aether is restored, his first priority will be to secure his power base and start a new dynasty. What better way than to seek a breeding partner from the court of Olympus who is in disgrace for allowing a trinket into the hands of Nyx? A daughter of Apollo, a wood nymph... she is a prime candidate."

Alistair looked at Hannah, a dry smirk on his face. "And her nature reserve, as you discovered, is a magical magnet. Claude and I had a hell of a time pulling you and your friends out of that living nightmare. You were a rather convincing showgirl, as I recall."

Claude shuddered theatrically. "Please, let us not revisit that. Though I will say," he added, a flicker of a grin returning, "your friend Barwell had a surprisingly good voice for our little Bee Gees melody. It was quite effective at distracting the flower."

"So, the plan," Hannah said, pulling the conversation back on track, her focus absolute. "My primary objective is to find the source of the dust. Once I have a location..."

"A more discreet break-in might be in order," Alistair mused. "Disrupt his supplies, find his records. It's an excellent chance for you to kick ass, Hannah." His eyes glinted. "Perhaps you should contact Iggy Starflare. It would be a good chance to see what happens to your abilities when working in close proximity to her again. As I recall, her... 'creeping'... had quite the effect on you last time. It awoke something. It might be time to let that spirit out to play."

"The play is clear," Stephanie said, her authority cutting through the debate. Her gaze swept the table, assigning roles with cool efficiency.

"Maximillian, you're on outreach. Contact Nightshade. Formulate the counter-agent. Alistair, Victor, you're on threat assessment. Amethyst's reserve needs to be secured, and we need to understand the Olympus angle. Hannah, you have your primary objective. Find the source. As for the disruption..." She looked pointedly at Hannah. "Choose your partner wisely."

The plan was set. A multi-faceted assault that played to each of their strengths.

Milly looked at Hannah, a proud, fierce glint in her eyes. Hannah met her gaze and then turned to the council, her expression no longer that of a simple apprentice, but of a key player in this war. The last vestiges of her quiet uncertainty were gone, replaced by the cold, absolute focus of The Great Hanavari.

"Then it's settled," Hannah said, her voice quiet but ringing with a newfound, dangerous authority as she collapsed the hologram with a flick of her wrist.

"We're going to audit a god."
