Two cameos from @HenchwomanTinbunny and @Nightshade-QOV

"Before our gossip could get started, a trolley rattled into the break area. Pushing it was a woman none of us had seen before. She was tall and slender, with long, platinum blonde hair spilling out from under a black beanie hat. Her uniform was a "scandalous" silver maid's dress, so short it barely preserved her modesty, worn with scuffed-up combat boots. She was a bizarre, punk-rock-meets-french-maid enigma.

"Tea, coffee, cake, or soup?" she asked, her voice a cheerful, singsong chirp that was completely at odds with the tense, corporate atmosphere.

Just as she was pouring a cup of tea, the stern female supervisor with the geometric bob strode over. "Trolley's late," she snapped, her eyes scanning the offerings with disdain. "And the presentation is sloppy. Look at this trifle. It's a mess."

"Oh, I am ever so sorry, ma'am!" the tea lady chirped, her eyes wide with an almost comical level of panic. She picked up the glass bowl of trifle to inspect it. "You're right, it is a bit wobbly, isn't it? I'll just..."

As she turned, she "tripped," lurching forward with a theatrical cry. The entire bowl of trifle—a wobbly, sticky mess of custard, jelly, cream, and sherry-soaked sponge—tumbled from her hands and landed, with a wet, spectacular splat, directly down the front of the supervisor's severe, immaculate black dress.

The entire room fell into a dead, shocked silence.

The tea lady stood there, her hands covering her mouth, her eyes wide with performative horror. The supervisor looked down at the dripping, colourful, catastrophic mess that now adorned her entire torso. Her face, usually a mask of cold, professional control, was a thunderous portrait of pure, unadulterated rage. The break was most definitely over.

The supervisor's face was a mask of pure, murderous rage. The entire typing pool held its breath, waiting for the inevitable explosion.

"You incompetent, clumsy little..." the supervisor began, her voice a low, shaking hiss. She grabbed the terrified, trifle-covered tea lady by the arm. "You can't even walk straight? Then you will be taught. Right here. Right now."

What followed was a piece of pure, impromptu, disciplinary theatre. The supervisor dragged the tea lady to the center of the room. She produced a roll of thick, binding rope from her desk drawer and, with a brutal efficiency, began to tie the tea lady's ankles together, leaving only a few inches of slack. She then tied her hands to the handle of her own trolley.

"Now," the supervisor snarled. "You will walk this aisle, back and forth, until you learn some semblance of grace. Every time you stumble, the lesson will become... more intense."

It was a perfect distraction. Every eye in the office, from the lowest temp to the other floor supervisors, was now glued to the spectacular, humiliating sight of the bound tea lady trying to push her trolley with her hands tied while hobbling in tiny, restricted steps."
