"This just isn't a good time for us to upgrade our equipment," Crystal the salon owner had said to the saleswoman.
"Tell you what," the saleswoman had said. "We can install one for free. You can try it out and see if you like it. If you do like it, keep it and consider upgrading the rest. If you don't like it, we'll remove it at no additional cost."
Crystal really couldn't say no to that offer. The saleswoman had the new hair dryer installed. Then she herself washed Crystal's hair and had her potential buyer try the new dryer out.
The two women spoke at length while Crystal was under the device. Now, with her hair washed and dried, they continue the conversation.
"What do you think of the upgrade?" the saleswoman asks.
"It is wonderful," Crystal says.
Her eyes are clouded over and stare ahead at nothing. She smiles dopily.
"And how do you feel?" the saleswoman asks.
"I feel wonderful."
"And how do you think your customers will feel."
"I think they will feel wonderful."
"And what do you think about me brainwashing you?"
"I think it's wonderful that you washed my hair for me."
"And how do you feel about being my obedient, barefoot slave?"
"I feel wonderful about being your new customer."
"Well, I think that not only did your salon get an upgrade," the saleswoman says, "but you did, too. Isn't that great?"
"Yes," Crystal says, "it is wonderful to get an upgrade."

For as often as hypno-fetish writers and artists use the trope of the literal salon hair dryer or the inspired-by-it brainwashing helmet, I rarely if ever see a photo like this one with the actual machine in it. Yes, Girls Gone Hypnotized (and possibly other sites) use hair dryer/brainwashing helmet props in some of their videos, but I've yet to see a scenario that focuses on the subject's bare feet while she is being brainwashed.
All that to say, when I saw this foot fetish image that happened to be taken in a salon with a backdrop of hair dryers, I knew I needed to make use of it.
