Paula was nothing if not persuasive.

She could make anything sound reasonable and worth doing. Her best friend, Tammy, went along with pretty much anything she suggested.

This time, what Paula suggested was hypnosis.

But Tammy required a lot more convincing than usual. She didn’t like the idea of being hypnotized at all, despite Paula’s assurances that it would be wonderfully relaxing and great fun, too. Something about it that Paula didn’t understand bothered Tammy quite a bit. It took Paula a while, but finally her combined persistence and persuasiveness won the day. Tammy relented, and Paula hypnotized her.

Paula was also nothing if not brainwashed.

She had been hypnotized herself the day before by Tammy’s boyfriend, Cyril. He had been wanting to hypnotize Tammy for a long time. But Tammy knew that if she let him, he would do everything he could to control her mind and make her indulge his foot fetish, which she had no intention of otherwise doing.

Paula had no idea about any of this. And because she wasn’t on guard around Cyril like Tammy was, she fell easily under his sway. She proved to be an excellent subject and readily followed all of the suggestions he gave her. It didn’t take long for him to instill in Paula the compulsion to hypnotize Tammy and mold her into his desired foot girl.

Now, having hypnotized Tammy, Paula worked methodically on Cyril’s behalf to brainwash her friend. Tammy resisted as best she could. But she was both in a highly suggestible state and in the masterful hands of Paula. Little by little, Tammy wore down, until at last she succumbed completely and became exactly what Cyril wanted her to be.

After all, Paula was nothing if not persuasive.
