"Relax."

Despite herself, she relaxed.

"Sit."

Not understanding why she did so, she sat.

"Take off your shoes."

It was crazy, but she took off her shoes.

"Drop your weapon."

Why would she ever disarm herself in the presence of her enemy? She couldn't conceive of doing it, but she did.

"Surrender."

No, she couldn't. She wouldn't. Never. And yet, she heard herself say it:

I surrender.

"Obey."

What? No! She wouldn't obey. She wouldn't... She would... Oh...

I obey.

"I am your master. You are my slave."

There was no more resistance from her. There was only the truth.

You are my master. I am your slave.

"Now, tell me about your friends. Tell me about all their strengths and weaknesses."

With no thought and no will, she told her master everything....
