"Denise! Denise! DENISE!"

With the shouting of her name, Denise awoke to an inrush of noise and light. She winced at the overbearing stimuli and tried to make sense of her surroundings.

"Denise! Help! Please! Help me!"

The desperate plea succeeded in snapping Denise back to complete wakefulness. Her eyes focused and then found the source of the cry: Kristina Lin, an attractive young woman that she knew from work.

Kristina sat in a large chair reminiscent of something from a salon by way of a bondage dungeon. Thick metal restraints around her wrists and ankles held her firmly in place, despite much wrenching and squirming on her part. Additionally, a bullet-shaped helmet rested over her head, covering her down to the bridge of her nose. Wires connected the helmet to a console on the wall behind her. Though fully dressed, she was barefoot, and the soles of her feet faced Denise.

"Hold on, Kristina!" Denise said. "I'll get you out of there! What the--?"

Suddenly finding that she couldn't move, Denise looked down. She found herself sitting in the same type of chair that Kristina did, with the same kind of restraints holding her fast. To complete the similarity to her colleague's predicament, Denise's feet were also bare, and a bullet-shaped helmet hung ominously over her head, though it was raised up high enough to not actually touch her.

"What is going on?" Denise asked fearfully.

"I don't know," Kristina said. "I woke up a few minutes ago in this contraption. You were out cold and unresponsive until just now. This stupid hair dryer thing was up above my head, but then it lowered down. Now I can't see anything. I just want to get out of here!"

"You and me both. Hey! Hey! Someone let us out of here!"

"It's no use. I've been yelling and yelling, and no one's come."

"Where are we? Why are we here?"

"No idea."

"Hm. What's the last thing you remember before waking up in the chair?" Denise asked.

She could see Kristina's lips purse, as the young woman thought.

"I was...at a work function...a teacher's meeting. You were there, too."

"That's right! Principal Marks had assigned us to get audio-visual lab training from that new staff member. What's his name?"

"Um…"

"Cyril, right?" Denise asked.

"Yeah, that's it," Kristina said. "I remember heading to the A/V lab with you."

"I remember that, too. And we met Cyril...didn't we?"

"I...I'm not sure."

"Me, neither. It's fuzzy from that point on."

"For me, it's all a blank. I don't remember passing out, just waking up here."

"Did someone drug us? They certainly kidnapped us," Denise said.

"But why?"

"I don't know."

"And what's with this crazy bondage setup?"

Denise shrugged, then remembered that Kristina couldn't see her.

"I don't know," she said again.

Kristina started to respond, but then she stopped suddenly. From inside the helmet that covered her head, an amber light began to pulse and a low buzzing emanated. Almost immediately, Kristina began to shiver.

"Kristina? Kristina!"

"My head! My head!"

"What's happening? What's it doing to you?"

"It...I...oh...ohhh…"

The young woman's speech then devolved into babbles. Her shivers grew into outright shakes, and she began to drool. Denise cried out again for someone--anyone!--to help her. But no one came, and she had no choice but to watch helplessly as Kristina underwent the bizarre process.

After about a minute, Kristina calmed down. Her shaking stopped, as did her babbling. Her fingers and toes twitched occasionally, but otherwise she seemed relaxed. A sleepy smile spread over her face.

"Kristina? Kristina, are you okay?"

Denise could still hear the buzzing coming from the helmet, but now it sounded different than it had before. It sounded more patterned, almost like speech. After several seconds, Kristina spoke again. The young woman's words were barely whispers, and Denise strained to hear them.

"Yes, Master...I will serve you...I will obey you...I will serve you...I will obey you…."

Denise's eyes widened, her jaw dropped, and she uttered the word that she now realized described exactly what was happening to Kristina:

"Brainwashing!"

As if in confirmation of Denise's exclamation, Kristina continued on with a newly whispered mantra.

"Yes, Master...I will not remember...but I will serve you...I will obey you...I will not remember...but I will serve you...I will obey you…."

"Kristina! Wake up! Snap out of it! Kristina! KRISTINA!"

Nothing Denise said had any effect on her co-worker, who continued her droning mantras. Denise wondered how and why someone was doing this. Not that it was difficult to surmise the how--obviously the odd hair dryer-like helmet was the means. But as to why, she had no idea. Then suddenly she remembered that the same helmet hung above her own head. She jerked back as much as she could within the confines of the chair and stared up at the fearsome device.

It sat silent and immobile. She didn't know why it hadn't descended upon her to engage in a nefarious mind controlling regimen. But she knew that as long as it didn't, she had to try to break free and rescue Kristina.

"There has to be a way out of these restraints," she muttered to herself, as she twisted and squirmed as much as possible in the chair.

"I assure you that there isn't."

The male voice from behind her caused Denise to gasp.

"Hey! Help me, please! Help my friend!"

The man walked around the chair, entering into Denise's peripheral vision.

"Your friend isn't in any danger," he said, "and neither are you. Just relax. You'll both be fine."

"Cyril? It's you? You did this to us!"

"Yes, it's me. I did it...to Kristina, anyway. For some reason, you're awake and aware. That's not right."

"WHY?"

Densie all but screamed the question. Cyril shook his head in disappointment.

"I would have thought it obvious," he said. "To add the three most attractive women at the school into my service."

"What are you talking about?"

"When I arrived here last week, I met with with Helena--or Principal Marks, as you likely address your employer. She's on the mature side but is still a very fine looking woman. Well worth my attention. So I setup my equipment and then processed her with it--"

"Processed?"

"Brainwashed, if you will. It's what I do. I'm extremely good at it. Anyway, once I had her in my power, I asked her to send two more women on the staff to me, specifically the best two women. She obediently directed you and Kristina to come see me for training. Regarding Kristina, she is pretty, petite, and lithe. Quite a good choice. And you, well, you are beautiful and curvaceously sexy. Ideal."

"Why do you need us?"

"I don't need you at all. I want you. And I get what I want."

"You're sick. Twisted. Perverted…"

Denise went off, spitting every nasty name and curse at him that she could think of. Cyril simply smiled.

"Yes, yes," he said. "Get it all out of your system. Because I'm going to condition it out of you anyway. And to that end, I need to see why your helmet isn't working."

With Denise still verbally raging against him, he walked around to the back of the chair. Through her ranting, she heard him working on the equipment. After a few moments, she grew tired and stopped to catch her breath. Soon after, the sounds of tinkering ceased behind her.

"Well, it's a good thing I got that fixed," Cyril said. "A short in the system could have fried your brain, rather than washing it. Now, it will work as designed. Your life as a free thinking, independent woman is done, Denise. But don't worry, I'll make sure you enjoy your new submissive, servile existence."

"You won't get away with this! I'll fight you. I'll fight your brainwashing. I'll--"

A loud thump above her head stopped Denise in mid sentence and caused her to look up. The helmet had stirred to life, emitting a low hum and starting to slowly descend. In lieu of further verbal assault, she threw all of her effort once more into escaping her bonds. So engrossed was she in her efforts that she didn't notice Cyril moving back around the chair and then watching her with barely contained glee.

"Yes, yes," he said softly, as the beautiful woman before him struggled helplessly against her bonds.

Several seconds later, the helmet came to a rest. As with Kristina, it now covered Denise down to her nose. After the barest pause, the amber light inside it began to pulse, and the low buzzing started. Denise stopped moving and let out a yelp of shock.

"No! No! N-no! O-oh! O-o-ohhh…."

Denise's intent had been to fight the helmet's conditioning, to replace the implanted mantras that Kristina had spouted with self-empowering ones of her own. But almost immediately, the machine had bombarded her with stimuli that had first confused and disoriented her, and now began to sedate her.

As a cloying drowsiness pulled at her mind, an even more insidious feeling spread out through her body--one of blissful joy. That, more than anything, she couldn't fight. Giving into it fully, she sank into a deep, dreamless darkness with an unknowing grin illuminating her face.

With her conscious mind now asleep and her subconscious laid bare, Denise began to repeat the instructions fed to her in the subliminal buzzes from the helmet:

"Yes, Master...I will serve you...I will obey you...I will serve you...I will obey you...Yes, Master...I will not remember...but I will serve you...I will obey you...I will not remember…."

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The last bell of the week rung, prompting the rapid emptying of classrooms. Denise's teaching duties were now done, but she still had one more task for the week--her training with Cyril. Thinking of it, she smiled. This would be her fifth session, and, despite initially not wanting to go through with them, she had loved each one.
She exited her classroom and walked down the hallway, making her way through throngs of exiting students to the A/V lab. When she reached it, she opened the door, entered, and then closed the door behind her. She listened for the click that indicated the door had locked before proceeding into the room. Hearing the sound, she nodded.
Without thinking--or even knowing--she stepped out of her high heels and walked barefoot over to Cyril's office. The door was open, and she entered the large, equipment-strewn space. Inside, Cyril sat behind a desk. He glanced at Denise before returning his attention to the two other people in the room.
Helena and Kristina stood before him. Both were dressed professionally but wore blank expressions on their faces and nothing on their feet.
"You are dismissed," Cyril said to them.
Both women blinked and then quickly regained their senses. With a nod to Cyril, they turned to leave. Helena smiled acknowledgingly at Denise, while Kristina paused to engage her.
"Wow, he taught us so much today," Kristina said happily. "I hope your session is as good."
"So, what's on the agenda today," Denise asked Cyril, once the two women had left.
Cyril snapped his fingers. Denise's expression instantly grew as blank as Helena and Kristina's had previously been.
"Attend me, slave."
Denise walked around the desk, then knelt before Cyril.
"Yes, Master. I will serve you. I will obey you…."
