So I've gotten some DM's about my experiences from a technical perspective and have been asked if I can go over some basics and ideals for those interested or invested in self bondage.

So this post/story is more tailored towards some do's and font's and some helpful tricks and advice from someone with years of experience under her belt.

1. Shopping

I personally hate shopping in public for supplies or items that relate to bondage because I hate the feeling of possibly being judge by the employees. I know their not supposed to judge, but I can't help but feel like I'm exposing my desires in the open like that. The quick and easy fix to this problem is shopping online. There are countless websites to buy and browse for bondage-esc items from gags to restraints.

The first thing to do when shopping online is to browse and look for reviews. Never go fro something that should feel cheaper than what the product is being sold for. If a ball gag is being sold for more than 30 dollars, you may want to look at more options. I like to shop around and see what looks both affordable, and worth the money in the end. Sometimes you'll buy something that didn't really work out, so I advise you make sure you know you can use the item before you make a purchase.

Reviews are a lifesaver because you get to see real people give their feedback on the item your interested in. Make sure you find out what people think before you buy, this way you don't make the same silly mistakes as them, and so you can enjoy the product as well.

Next comes the delivery. Make sure the items come in discreet packaging and arrive at a time or place where no one would be suspicious or too curious. I always order when I know no one would be home to collect the package and always make sure the package vanishes with no possible evidence once it arrives.

2. Storage

Storing your items and supplies can be a real challenge. Nothing is harder than hiding these types of things and finding the right spot can be tricky. I personally hide my stuff deeply under my bed. In a story, I explained that my bed has a hollowed underneath and can only be accessed by these little doors or the side and front. No one would go under my bed so I keep several bags underneath with certain ones containing my stuff. Always look for the place no one would even think to check.

Some people I know use the truck of their car for storage, because no one would look there or suspect your cars truck.

Always keep your supplies in duffle bags or backpacks for easy, mobile storage. If you're a girl, you can keep the majority of your outfits in your closet and claim them as "cosplay" outfits. This is a sure way to avoid suspicion and have easier storage.

3. practice makes perfect

When your new items arrive, always test them in private so you know what works, what needs practice, and what doesn't work. It's important to test your items individually, so that way you now what to use for actual self bondage sessions. Never go right into the self bondage when you get new stuff, and even if you want to so badly, take it slow and have an escape plan nearby.

I have a pair of shirabi rope cuffs that are designed for self bondage. The more you pull, the tighter they get. Its soft and simple =, but I found a way to make it super tight and force my wrists to be closer and immobile. I started pushing my wrists through more of the loops in the rope to a point of actual immobility. After the session was over and I began to free myself I realized I wasn't able to escape from my first bindings with ease. When this happens, never panic. Take it slow and stay calm as you make a game plan. Start by trying your hardest to force yourself free. It may hurt, but being free is worth a little pain. If all else fails, use a sharp knife or scissors to free yourself carefully.

Also, never do bondage in a room temperature or hot environment. The colder the better. Self bondage can be tedious and get you exhausted, sweating and being hot can be a problem and ruin the experience. Keeping cool makes it feel so much better.

4. Timing is everything

I've said this before, but always know when and where to perform self bondage. Getting caught is a heart attack that no one wants to deal with. Always find a time and place where no one will bother you or find you in the middle of a session. I prefer late at night, or when no one is home. Sometimes you'll be in the mood but people are around, so you'll have to suck it up and wait.
