Like a coming storm
The tension in the air.
The silence screaming out
A warning to beware.

Perched on a chaise
In casual recline.
Slow motion elegance,
A tiny sip of wine.

Razor sharp black dress.
‘I know you want me’ heels.
Foreboding shadow backdrop.
Is this how quarry feels?

Warnings are defied.
Cautions are ignored.
One must face the risk
To capture the reward.

Toward her quiet form
Cautiously he treads.
Feeling like the fly
Wrapped in spider’s thread.

No gauntlet is thrown.
No glove to his face.
But an insolent look.
Her superior grace.

Cut with a sharp glance.
Burning hot yet cold.
There is the challenge.
Can she be controlled?

His heart begins to race.
Instinctive fight or flight.
But both already know
None will run this night.

She turns to face him.
Open dress invites.
An appeal to caress?
A summons to a fight?

The answer is found
In knowing her nature.
No simple seduction.
She wants him to take her.

Not an easy task.
She wasn’t born to yield.
Intellect and spirit.
The weapons she will wield.

Barbed words and piercing taunts
His inner beast enrage.
Now she tempts with tender flesh.
The beast to slip his cage.

He spies her slender neck.
It’s skin soft and warm.
Before this night is over
His hand will know its form.

He will take what he wants.
She wants what he takes.
She’ll be forced to submit.
His to dominate.

To achieve their goals
Each of them is driven.
No quarter will be asked.
None will be given.

Does it seem unfair,
This kitten-beast contest?
If he does his worst
She will have her best.
