The kitten in the window box.
To me she is a paradox.
Serenely basking in the sun.
As peaceful as a loaded gun.
She is at once a playful pet
And unspoken violent threat.
Her soft and tender playful paws
Are sheaths for sharpened savage claws.
Will she cuddle or will she fight?
Playful nip or ferocious bite?
Curl up in my lap and purr?
Or her wrath will I incur?
I'm not sure which most I crave.
Or if I'm Master or the slave.
To me she is a paradox
The kitten in the window box.
