Poor Marvin! All he ever did was be rude to his co-workers. How could such a horrible fate befall him?

So, you're probably wondering what happened? Why did it take months for this last chapter? Where did Emilia's assistant go? I could write a whole story about what happened, but the summary answer is:
I paused because I thought a picture was coming. It didn't. These things happen. (I'm in no position to say anything about anyone else creating things!) But then when I came back to finish, I really struggled with the chapter focused on Darnell, Emilia's assistant. I think I rewrote it five or six times, and I just didn't like it every time. I just felt stalled. But I didn't want to leave it unfinished. So I came up with the idea of taking the last 3 chapters, removing the Darnell completely, and combining the other two chapters into this, the last chapter. I do hope it provides some enjoyment and closure.

Clarification:
I do want to be clear that I don't place any blame on the picture that didn't happen! I only mentioned it to explain what caused me to push the 'pause' button on the story and then what happened afterwards.
