Meet one of the alien species I created for my PhiraSword saga, the Xglrt hunter. These guys are wickedly fast, even to the pont of invisibility as they hunt, extremely hot and have two means to deal with you. If they bite you, your metabolism speeds up and the last thing you see before it hits you with the proboscus is its face as it sucks out everything that makes you you, leaving you as nothing more than a puddle of goo and a pile of dust. On the other hand, if it stings you, you become its puppet. You basically become an acolyte to their cause, your own persona deleted.
