The Haunted 2; It Begins

So this is the second story in my “The Haunted” series.  What’s going on in Carlie’s house?  What does her mysterious friend have to do with it?

Carlie slowly descended the staircase into the basement.  While it was true that Nicky and her had discussed this ever since she came, she hadn’t really felt up to it now.

And she wasn’t sure she even felt it now.

Carlie never did like the basement.  Even though her washing machine and dryer were down here, she spent as little time as possible, and only as long as needed to get her laundry in and out.  She usually took it upstairs to fold it and put it away, and as quickly as she could.

She wasn’t sure what it was, never quite sure.  She often felt a great sense of unease down there, a sense that there was something that just wasn’t right.  She never knew exactly what it was, but, hopefully, Nicky could clear the matter up.

It took Nicky a couple of minutes to find something. “Oh, look.  There it is.”

Carlie took a deep breath and turned to see the device Nicky was pointing to.  She had no idea what it was, never did have a mind for that sort of thing, but she knew Nicky did. “What?”

Nicky pointed out the scorch marks behind it, deeper than any others. “Your secondary water heater was what caused the fire.  It needed to be replaced, but, somehow, it looks like it’s still new.”

For some reason, that gave Carlie the chills.  If it was damaged, if it had caused that fire, then how did it get replaced?

Carlie looked into the dark corners, wondering what seemed to be trying to stay still, but nothing happened. “Okay, look.  I don’t know what’s going on here, but I...I just have to…”

Carlie dashed up the stairs as fast as her feet would take her, breathing, finally, as she reached the top as Nicky came up slowly after her. “What’s going on?”

Carlie looked at her, wondering how she didn’t feel that. “You mean you...how did that get replaced?”

Nicky just shrugged. “Taken care of while you were out one day.  It wasn’t a problem, just wanted to show you.”

Carlie shook her head. “Why weren’t you nervous down there?  That place is…”

Nicky put a hand on her shoulder. “Don’t be afraid, mate.  Many people don’t like basements.  It’s not uncommon at all.”

Carlie shook her head again. “Okay, but why did that happen?”

Nicky just smiled. “C’mon.  Let’s see what else needs to happen.”

Carlie still felt that same coldness that she’d felt in the basement earlier as she took her shower.  Still warm water.  Nicky must’ve done it like she said, just taken care of it without her knowing.

As she got out, wrapping the robe around her, she moved to the magic room.  Being in such a familiar place with so many memories and so much magic being done, not only to her but with the rest of her now-deceased family, she moved over to the cutting implements.

No, not the sword tonight.  While she liked it, it didn’t provide quite what she needed.  She smiled as she took it down.  It would be perfect for tonight, always the best feelings.

She got into her jammies, enough midriff being shown to make it possible, and climbed into bed.  She settled in before she picked up the saw, placing the sharp teeth against the skin of her waist.

It always amazed her that, even though she could feel the pricks, they never hurt.  She wondered, for just a moment, again why that was as she breathed in before drawing the saw across her body.  A brief flash of pain later and she pushed it again.

There always was a flash of pain, but that quickly passed as it did this time.  Carlie kept pushing the saw back and forth, feeling those incredibly good sensations intensify as the saw traversed her body.  She moaned, loudly, unable to contain how good it felt.

She knew what would happen when she reached the point.  As soon as she started sawing into her spine, the fantastic feelings overtook her, washing all through her, cresting and cresting again, giving her the incredible sensations that she only ever experienced in one other situation.

She kept sawing, riding that wave of the orgasm as she cut through her other side.

She gasped, not even remembering the creepy sensation she’d felt earlier.  Knowing she could, she rolled her bottom half over, that wonderful thrill rolling over her.  She breathed in and out a few times, the sensational feelings completing, as she took the saw to her neck.

It never was quite so intense, beheading herself, but, a few moments later, she placed her head on the pillow, that sensation of being in pieces relaxing her so completely.

She turned her head as she moved her arm to place the saw leaning up against the night table, smiling as she drifted off to sleep, knowing she’d have such wonderful dreams.

The next morning, as she woke up still feeling fantastic, she placed her head back where it normally went and looked over.  Something was wrong.

She reassembled herself to try and figure it out, not being able to see it.  The saw, the same one she used to give herself such wonderful dreams, disappeared from her room.
