The Babysitter
Carlie didn’t mind sitting for Davina and Jason. The kids were great kids, Davina 9 and already looking like she knew she was going to be a hottie, and Jason 7 with a real penchant for mischief. But the kids were great. Carlie never had to yell at them or anything.
Their mom and dad had split up a couple of years ago, and, sometimes, Mom just needed some time to herself, maybe even dating in an attempt to find some man who wouldn’t mind adopting two kids. Still, Carlie knew that she would be getting a nice payment for those times.
And tonight was one of those times. Carlie just knew that Davina was going to be a hottie because her mom was. Still, the dates never did go according to plan. Mom would always come home, alone, and just invite Carlie for a glass of wine afterwards. Carlie didn’t mind.
But Carlie should’ve known something was up.
First, Davina came up to her and said that they had something to show her in the basement. Well, that was a little new, but Carlie didn’t have a fear of basements. When Carlie asked Davina what it was, she simply laid on a charming smile. “Oh, you’ll see.”
Carlie laughed a little nervously as she let Davina lead her into the basement where it was obvious Jason had some stuff already set up. It looked like some planks laid out on a couple of sawhorses, but Carlie didn’t quite get what they were for. “Okay, what did you want to show me?”
Jason piped up, eager. “We learned a new magic trick and we want you to be our volunteer!”
Carlie sighed. Still, she knew they wouldn’t hurt her. But what did they have in mind? “Okay. What do you need me to do?”
Davina flourished up at one end of the planks. “Simply lay down. Jason will do the rest.”
Carlie did so a little nervously. The planks weren’t uncomfortable, but she could feel the space between then. She looked over and saw that Jason had a handsaw. “Wait! What…?”
Davina turned on her charm again. “Don’t worry. This won’t hurt.”
Carlie breathed a little quickly, still not sure what she was going to do. “Uh.”
Jason took the cue and placed the saw at Carlie’s waist. “Wait, Jason, I’m not sure…”
Without any preamble, Jason pushed the saw and Carlie felt the teeth of it rip into her flesh. After a brief moment of pain, Carlie realized it didn’t hurt after all. She kept breathing fast as Jason looked at her, suddenly concerned. “Are you okay?”
Carlie nodded. “Just a little unexpected. Are we done?”
Jason shook his head then took the saw for another stroke. Carlie gasped, then felt at her waist. Yes, she could feel the saw blade inside her body now, but there wasn’t any blood or anything, and she was sure she’d be screaming in pain. Davina jumped to Jason’s side. “Holy cow, it’s working!”
Carlie turned to them “What do you mean!?”
Jason just smiled as he stroked the saw again, cutting further into Carlie. “We saw this on TV the other day and knew we had to try it.”
Carlie’s eyebrows shot to the top of her scalp. They hadn’t really learned it? They were just copying it?
But they really were sawing into her. A curiosity swept over her. “Keep going.”
What would it be like to be in halves? Would she still be able to feel everything?
At the next stroke, Carlie gasped in a sudden rush of pleasure. It was like her dopamine spiked, and she liked it.
She could feel the saw in her, making its way through her waist as Jason continued to cut, and, with each new stroke, a new, higher level of dopamine spiked.
The sawblade was halfway through her and, with the way she was feeling, she wondered what would happen to her at…
As the saw stroked her spine, she gasped, shuddering in pure sensation. Every pleasing nerve felt like it was on fire as Jason sawed into her backbone, bringing her closer and closer. She had to keep it under control, though. The children probably wouldn’t understand.
All too soon, she felt the saw cut through the last part of her waist, fully separating her. Davina looked on, really worried. “Are you okay Carlie?”
Carlie just smiled at her, wondering something. “Hold on.”
She pushed up on her arms and felt the eerie but wonderful sensation as her halves separated. Jason squealed in delight as he disappeared for a moment before Carlie got her upper half upright and saw him down by her feet. “No, Jason, don’t….”
It was too late. Jason danced his fingers over the soles of her feet, digging them in. Carlie couldn’t help herself, she laughed so hard her top half toppled over. As it did so, she fell off the planks and onto something else that was sharp.
Her head rolled away, but Carlie could still feel everything. Davina ran over. “Ohmygosh!”
She picked up Carlie’s head, seeing her still smiling. “You’re okay?”
Carlie laughed. “Get me back up.”
With some care, Davina and Jason managed to lift Carlie’s torso back onto the planks, placing her head in her hands. Carlie tried scowling at the two of them. “You know this could’ve been very dangerous you two.”
Jason looked chagrined at it, but Carlie smiled. “Just be careful. The next girl might not be able to survive this.”
Jason nodded and Davina looked on curious. “Maybe I could be the next girl?”
Carlie sighed. “Wait, maybe, 5 more years before you try it, okay?”
Davina nodded, pleased, before Carlie tried to put her head back on. It didn’t stick.
As she took it back off, not sure, she had to ask the kids if they knew how to get her back together.
When they didn’t, they kept trying, sticking her parts back together without them really sticking. Carlie started to panic at the same time as the kids when their mom called out, asking where they were. Both of them looked at each other, terrified, before Carlie gave them a reassuring nod. “We’re in the basement, but we kind of have a problem.”
As she came downstairs, Mom glared at the kids for a moment. “I should’ve known you two might try this.”
She explained. “My ex-husband and I met at a magic convention. I was his lovely assistant for about a month before he popped the question and we ended up getting married. The magic was real. It was always real and I knew our children might inherit it.”
Carlie kind of gulped, understanding now. “So, you know how to put me back together?”
Mom nodded, picked up Carlie’s head with her hands directly on the sides, and placed it where it should normally go. Carlie gasped in relief as she felt her neck rejoin. Mom picked up her top half, carefully aligning her waist halves, before putting them back together.
A moment later, Carlie stood, all in one piece again. The kids told Mom what they promised Carlie, and Mom thought it was a good idea, before Carlie hugged them goodbye.
She didn’t know if she’d ever be able to get Jason to do it again, but she knew she had to be in pieces a few more times.
