The Ripper
Officer Calihan still couldn’t believe what she’d seen. This magician, known only as The Ripper, only had 5 shows per venue. Each time, he produced horrible effects, including chickens that were roasted and Tarot cards that burst into flame.
And then he’d pull a screaming young woman, different one every time, from a cage onstage that everyone could see, place her, back against a backboard, and saw through her waist. Blood would spray everywhere and she’d appear dead before he threw her halves into the same incinerator he put the chickens in.
Calihan’s partner, veteran O’Herily, an old Irish cop, couldn’t believe that she’d been so focused on this, but she presented a compelling argument. The Ripper could pull in runaways, prostitutes and those women who were considered dregs with the promise of a lot of money, then kill them and incinerate their body parts before anyone could object. That’s why he kept moving on, because then the police might catch on.
So Calihan pulled O’Herily into going to the final show in the city. Sure enough, The Ripper showed up in a flash of fireworks, looking fully demonic. Calihan felt a deep sense of foreboding as she watched the apparent disheartened slaying of many innocent creatures after he produced them from…somewhere.
She pointed out the girl, a redhead who clung to the cage in a tattered 2-piece outfit. She looked terrified at what was going on, as if she could see the carnage firsthand. Feathers flew, blood flew, and everything else seemed to indicate that The Ripper was one sick bastard.
When he pulled the redheaded girl from the cage, she screamed, writhing, and trying to get away. It was as if she knew what was coming and didn’t want any part of it, but The Ripper relentlessly slammed her against the backboard, looking like it was smeared with blood, and shackled her arms to it. She screamed as he produced a rotary saw, revving it up so loud that the screaming was drowned out.
Calihan leaned forward as he slammed the saw into the girl, almost cringing as the blood poured out before something else flew out as well. The girl slumped and her lower half dropped. The Ripper grinned before unfastening her wrists and then picking up her lower half and throwing it into the incinerator he roasted the chickens in before. He then picked up her top half and did the same.
O’Herily shrugged as he left the stage. “That’s not a big deal, Callie. A lot of magicians do edgy stuff like that.”
Calihan turned to her partner, a little outraged. “What about the girl? Was she just a prop in the show? What happened to her?”
She got up and rushed backstage, hearing something that didn’t make much sense. It was the clucking of chickens from a room she passed as O’Herily came in behind her. She found the magician’s door and knocked, loudly on it, declaring herself a police officer.
The man that answered wasn’t the beast that appeared in the show. He seemed very kind as he let them both in before Calihan got right to the point. “Where do you get the girls at the end?”
Rip stared at her a moment, then laughed. “Officer, you have no idea how many times I’ve had this discussion. Let me introduce you to Martha, my wife.”
Coming from somewhere, a dark-haired beauty came out, looking like she’d been through the wringer, but fully aware that she was very sensual. “Martha, Meet Officer Calihan and her partner, Officer…”
O’Herily corrected him. “Sargent O’Herily.”
He shook Martha’s hand, then asked the question. “So, explain.”
Martha laughed, looked at her husband. “Again?”
Martha took out a red wig, slipping it on her head. Calihan looked at her a moment before getting it together. “Martha uses disguises so that it looks like you kill different girls every night?”
Rip nodded, then asked Martha to explain something else. Martha sighed, sat down on the couch, and then ripped her body in half. She stayed up on her hands before settling her top half next to her bottom half.
Calihan just stared, not daring to believe it. A woman was really in half? Martha explained. “We get some cow’s blood, maybe some internal organs, and slip them between my halves before the show starts.”
Calihan still felt confused. “But all that other slaughter?”
Martha laughed, but Rip explained. “Nothing dies. In fact, all those chickens are in the next room, fully alive, fully enjoying their corn. The feathers are easy to get, as is the blood.”
O’Herily laughed. “So, you’re a real magician.”
Rip nodded, then sat by his wife, holding her hand. “I sawed Martha in half early on, but I couldn’t get her back together again. We use Velcro most of the time, and some clever makeup and prosthetics to hold her together, but that’s about all it is, just a show officer.”
Calihan looked at Martha, seemingly okay. “So that incinerator is just some prop to make it look like things are burning, and you and the chickens are safe.”
Martha nodded, then smiled. “Would you like my husband to show you something?”
Calihan couldn’t deny it. She felt so curious, now that she knew no murders were going on. What did it feel like? “Can he get me back together, though?”
Rip nodded. “I’ve learned a bit since I sawed my wife in half.”
Calihan grinned. “Will you saw me in half then?”
Rip pretended to think for a moment before he nodded, then went and got the same saw she watched earlier. Calihan shuddered for a moment as Martha reattached her halves and got off the couch. Would she be able to be back together? Martha instructed her to pull her top up. Rip would need a bare waist. Calihan nodded, pulling her shirt up. “Will it hurt?”
Martha sighed. “Honestly, yes, but only for a moment. The feeling when you’re in two, though, is incredible.”
Rip plugged in the saw and Calihan shuddered, almost changing her mind, but O’Herily nodded at her encouragingly. “Go ahead.”
Rip powered the saw up, and Calihan felt the wind as he brought it near her body. Then he touched the saw to her waist.
She felt like her body was on fire for just a moment and she about demanded he stop before the pain passed. She could feel the saw in her as he pushed it through and felt a great deal of pleasure as it continued through her body. Before she was ready, it came out the other side and Calihan knew she was in halves.
Calihan looked down, feeling her body was in halves. She knew it, but she had to see before she lifted up on her elbows, pulling her halves apart.
It felt so strange, but so good, seeing her hips and legs go away from the rest of her. She kicked, laughing as her leg responded without being attached. She looked at Martha. “Do you feel like this all the time?”
Martha nodded. Then Rip informed her that she’d have to be put back together.
As Calihan’s halves were rejoined, she felt an intense rush of pleasure, like she had an intense orgasm. She sat up, feeling so good. Her partner and her left the theater a few minutes later, her curiosity finally sated about the so-called “murders.”
And Calihan knew she would have to get cut in half again.
