"'Tis not the beach, but I'll take it. The important bit is the lack of gods to slay."
The Final Fantasy MTG set just came out, so I felt inspired to draw a certain Warrior of Light again, but in comfy casual this time. Shame Artemis has to watch most of her friends back on the Source get cards modeled after them while she herself doesn't get one, but maybe it's for the best. She doesn't like the idea of being a celebrity, and WotC ain't paying royalties to some rando on the internet whose portfolio can be summed up as "What if Emrakul-induced body horror was actually hot?"
One of my friends who's been helping me learn the ropes of Clip Studio Paint introduced to me the fisheye perspective ruler, and I just had to try it out. ^^ I never could have done this on my old setup. So much fun. Very challenging and time-consuming, though. I've had to plug at this one little by little over the past week.
(Before anyone asks, no, the shadows aren't "facing the wrong way," there is an implied artificial light source inside the room offscreen and to the left. >.> I admit I decided to color a sunrise/sunset atmosphere kinda late in the process, but I also wanted Artemis to still be visible as more than just a silhouette, and with her skin, scale, and hair colors mostly undistorted.)

EDIT (6/23/2025): Turned the opacity on the sunlight rays way down so they don't convey overpowering light that would make shadows wrong, added missing shadows cast by curtain and tail. Also corrected horn shapes/sizes and adjusted relative colors on the cushions layer.
EDIT 2 (6/26/2025): Artemis's face was looking a bit balloony to me and it was throwing off the proportions of her hair and horns (again), so I shrink'ded it.
