A mage enrolls at a sorcerer's academy and has to make a tough coin-flip decision about whether to join the arcane school or the divine school. The choice is never without regret, thoughts always lingering in the back of her mind about what life could have been like in the timeline next door. Then, years later, an audacious experiment with time magic happening elsewhere on campus causes those very timelines to crunch together, leaving several people and objects "glitched."

That's the new life of Penep in a nutshell. Her two selves had grown too different from each other to be fused seamlessly, resulting in this conjoined form. And yet, they keep mentally phasing between being one person and two, and have to plan their whole lives around the challenge of their newfound plurality while sleuthing out the secrets of the time crash's origin. In addition to their learned magics, they have a strange power to stabilize temporally "glitched" substances with their touch. Could they be the only ones in the position to save their school?

and myself during a fast-paced brainstorming and improv session that ended up taking on quite a vivid picture in my head, and I had to sketch her as soon as possible. (Ended up cribbing a backstory idea from

in the process.) Trying out an experiment with soft, nearly-invisible lines, don't know how much I like it overall, but I think it came out looking good here specifically because of all the dark colors. ^^

Things are scary right now, of course, but art is proving to be a good way to keep myself emotionally centered. Everyone please stay safe and wash your hands.
