This was originally an illustration that was to be paired with a short story that would have doubled as the introduction of Echo into the Head Count Extended Universe. Unfortunately, the COVID pandemic hit a few months later and sapped any motivation I had to write anything at all, let alone a story with a darker tone.<br /><br />I might revisit the concept later, I might not, but I'm gonna let this drawing stand as its own thing. Rushed elements aside, I still think it's a decent depiction of Kassie caught in a moment of genuine tension rather than being her usual smug and/or happy-go-lucky self.<br /><br />~Az
