When Azalea Cloud returned from the world of Tradugu, she approached her old friend Vandis Treedancer with an epiphany the former had learned during her exile: No single being can retain all knowledge there is to learn, and no single being can harness all the power there is to wield. The truth of the Savaronist texts the alien studied led her back to Vandis because of the latter's expertise in the field of reconnaissance, and her method of befriending and employing birds to gather information. Azalea's idea was to build a global support network on Earth, separate and acting in secret from the eyes of the Mage's Council. The long-term goal was for this network to be decentralized, so that all corners of the world would have heroes on call ready to defend those living on the margins - communities of oppressed humans and provincial cryptids alike. Slowly, without Earth's or Arkaden's powers noticing, these populations would learn they were not alone. But in the short-term, Azzy needed the most capable people she knew outside the Council to start achieving such an ambitious plan; and Vandis, her tools, and her friends in the skies above had proven invaluable in the past. The elf's name would be the first one added to the worldwide Head Count.

New look for Vandis, may or may not be inspired by a certain video game trailer. >.> RoMi became the party's main bow user, so it's twin curved swords for Vandis from now on.
