And now for something with Dodge in action.
As a planeswalker and the only surviving inhabitant of the Mutantverse, Dodge has a permanent mana bond to the wasteland that was once her home timeline. Over the last two years, she has spent an extensive amount of time studying the nature of this mana bond and those of others. Her studies have allowed her to unlock psionic powers, as well as the ability to manipulate fire. Her psionic spells are capable of penetrating matter.
While in combat, Dodge usually tries to predict or influence her opponent's moves using subtle mental charms. If detected, her spells can be fought off by a strong-willed opponent, but even the weaker spells can buy her enough time to get into the perfect position to scorch her foe. However, when presented with a stubborn or hard-to-hit opponent, Dodge will bide her time and hit with one of her more powerful psionic powers. Her strongest spells have been known to cause headaches, dizziness, amnesia, and in the most extreme cases, a complete overwrite of the victim's personality. Fortunately for anyone who crosses her, these effects are seldom permanent.
Interesting to note is Dodge's penchant for turning some of her mental charms on herself. She believes that winning battles takes nothing more than mind over matter, and if she can alter her own mind to adapt to certain situations, so much the better.
Dodge wears no armor, but does carry one weapon: A telescoping steel staff which extends from both ends of its 18-inch-long center portion using two spring-loaded triggers, reaching a maximum length of just under 72 inches. Dodge usually wields the staff in her lower hands for easy access to low targets like the groin, feet, and ankles (for tripping). If she attacks a person's head with it, it's meant to catch them by surprise. The weapon's hollow steel construction makes it both light and durable, and allows Dodge to push and pull it from a distance with her thunderglands.
