Bella closed her laptop with a sigh, looking disappointed. Another few job applications filled out that she was sure no one would read (despite her degree supposedly being in high demand— seriously, not one firm needed a lawyer?!), but she consoled herself with the fact that at least she tried.
Still, that didn’t do much to ease her fears about her steadily draining bank account. She’d leased her apartment with the expectation that she’d have a job to pay for it, but it had been four months and her side gig of dogsitting just didn’t cut it.
Speaking of that— Bella reached for her phone, turning off the alarm she’d set for herself right as it began to blare. It was embarrassing— no, humiliating that she had to dogsit, she should be in an office making seven figures and actually doing real work, she didn’t drop all of that money on a college degree just to watch over dogs!
Weird hairless dogs too, not the fluffy kind that were nice to pet. And they were so delicate that they needed sunscreen, for Christ's sake. Just another thing to add onto the pile of things she needed to worry about, another drop in the ocean of stress bugging her.
Sighhhh. Bella snatched her keys from the table and made her way to her car. Her friend, Gabby, would be at the dog park, she could commiserate with her there.

Bella’s sour mood took an even worse turn when she got to the dog park and saw that Gabby wasn’t there. Downcast, she opened the rear door to let her client’s dogs out, leashing the hairless trio of dogs, Athos, Porthos, and Aramis. They were speckled like artisan sourdough, mostly a sooty brownish-black with a few marbled streaks of cream dotting their odd little bodies.
Those names were far too nice for dogs this dumb-looking, Bella felt. Gollum would be more accurate, they had the same odd shrink wrapped look to them that just… urggh.
But whatever. They were well behaved, which was more than she could say for some of her other client’s dogs. Bella gave each of the dogs a pat on the head as she wandered through the gate, stroking their smooth, warm skin before finding a seat on one of the weathered benches along the fence.
Already, the dogs were fiending to be let loose. They tugged on their leashes, whining and yapping as their thin tails furiously wagged against their haunches. Their chests heaved as they frantically sniffed the air, the smell of the other dogs driving them absolutely wild.
“Just— agh! Relax for a second!” Bella complained as she tried to keep her hold on the dogs’ leashes. She winced when the rough leather dug into her palm, hissing under her breath as she fumbled with the latch to release the dogs.
They bolted off the instant the leashes were undone, kicking up a plume of dust into Bella’s face as they streaked off towards the other dogs. Bella groaned as she spat out a bit of dirt, grimacing as she stared down at her ruined shirt. God, it must be so nice to be a dumb, stupid dog… no worries, no thoughts, nothing at all.
Lucky little bastards. Bella couldn’t help but feel jealous of the dogs. They didn’t have to worry about stupid bullshit like the economy, or interviews, or finances… wouldn’t that be nice? To just not think at all? To be a simpleminded dog with nothing except doggy butt and plastic balls on the mind?
For a few seconds, Bella entertained the possibility, before setting it aside with a light huff. It was stupid; she didn’t have the luxury to think about this shit— and seriously, who wanted to be a dog? Giving up chocolate forever sounded horrible, even worse than being leashed, and being naked, and having to eat off the floor… yuck. She had standards.
And she needed to keep her mind focused on kickstarting her career, not on trivial shit like this. Maybe giving the firm she used to intern at a call to see if they could connect her to a hiring manager would be worth a try?
Bella dug her phone out of her purse as she crossed her pale, plump thighs. At this point, she’d even take a secretary job, as demeaning as that would be. She didn’t exactly have the figure for it— she wasn’t a blonde bombshell with double Ds —but she was eyecatching enough, with nice, firm, modest Bs and a curvy, pear-ish figure, and pale, freckled skin and silky brown hair.
God, the sun was reflecting off of her phone, and she was starting to sweat from the midday heat, too. Unconsciously, Bella began to pant, her tongue slowly creeping past her lips with each hot and heavy breath. Bit by bit, that pink slip of flesh thickened, widening to match the width of her mouth as the tapered tip started to flatten into a wider semicircle.
Bella didn’t notice, though. She fanned herself as black calluses began swelling out of her palms, and curled her nails around her phone as her skull began to tingle. The heat must really be getting to her, she thought, even as her nose darkened and her canine teeth lengthened in her mouth.
Shoulders and hips thickened as new bands of muscle seeded them, and Bella’s phone dropped into her lap as her wrists elongated and she lost her grip. But she hardly noticed— her attention had been stolen by a cute guy walking his golden lab on the other side of the park.
Bella panted, her tongue drooping lower and lower as her ears rose up her head and her mouth and nose started to push forward. She’d seen that guy before, talked to him too— his name was Michael and he was so nice. Without thinking too much about it, she started to squirm against her seat, her hips trying to wag a tail that hadn’t quite begun to grow yet.
But she was getting there. Bella licked her lips as her ankles and knees followed suit with her wrists and elbows, stretching and shortening and making it increasingly uncomfortable to sit on the bench. Fidgeting, Bella tried to stretch (she felt weirdly achy, must be the heat) but her arms refused to rise higher than her shoulders.
And now she was so itchy, too… With a high pitched whine, Bella shook her head, making her ears flop around as the outer lobes flattened into wide, triangular flaps of leathery flesh. Her skull pinched forward even more as she awkwardly tugged on her shirt and tights, and as her nose fused into her upper jaw and her lips turned thick, gray, and gummy, one of her claws caught against the fabric.
Bella didn’t even flinch when she pulled her hand away and tore a wide hole in her shirt, and she didn’t even seem to mind that her tits were exposed, one pale breast hanging out of the ripped hole. She just licked her snout as whiskers jutted out of it, and yawned as thick canine ridges carved themselves into the roof of her mouth— exposing her oddly sharp, and still pearly white teeth, not quite human but not fully canine either.
Fuck, she was itchy. She needed to scratch. It was a simple enough decision (especially for Bella’s shrinking frontal lobe to make) and she didn’t think twice about running her paws over her chest and stomach. She clawed at her shirt, dragging one shoulder out of it before fraying the hem, each successive scratch exposing a little more of her pale skin.
But fuck, it wasn’t enough. With a soft whine, Bella brought her foot up to her shoulder, sending her phone flying, and started to scratch with her clawed toes as well, ripping off a sleeve as she frantically clawed at her shirt. She narrowed her eyes in delight when the contortion made her panties dig into her slit, and shook her hips even more, whimpering when the bulge of her growing tailbone ground against the park bench.
More! More scratchies! Frothy drool gathered in the corner of Bella’s snout as her wet, moist nose drew in deep, shuddering breaths, and she arched her back as the imprint of her spine showed itself against her back. A few hollow cracks and pops accompanied her breathless huffs as her tailbone uncompressed itself, bones unfusing and re-lengthening, pressing themselves tight against Bella’s tights.
She needed to scratch there too! Bella kneaded her claws against her thighs, easily shredding her tights to reveal her modest white panties beneath. Those were soon torn off as well, revealing the swollen, puffy snatch beneath, wide and clearly not quite human either.
Above it, dark pinpricks were forming on Bella’s chest, arranged in neat pairs along her milk lines. Nipples— teats to be more exact. Three pairs of them sat beneath Bella’s original breasts, and they all slowly puffed up, becoming silken mounds of soft, squishy boobfat.
Like the rest of her, they weren’t quite human, but not all the way canine, either. Bella continued to rip off shreds of her shirt as her changes slowed— she looked like a human that had been pressed into a doggy mold. Still hairless, still human-sized, some rudimentary flexibility in her hands and a human-ish body plan… just with canine embellishments like her snout, ears, tail, and limbs that muddied her otherwise human form.
“Aaarrrghhhff!” With a hoarse bark, Bella rolled off the bench and tumbled to the ground, covering her flank with dust. Finally managed to stop the itching, all it took was getting rid of her clothes!
Panting, she slowly pushed herself onto all fours, balancing on her hands and feet as if it were the natural thing to do. Her tail idly wagged as she stared around, sniffing the air as her tits hung beneath her body, gently swaying from side to side.
She shook herself and blinked a few times as her tongue slipped past her gummy lips again. What had she been doing again? Oh! She had been looking at the cute guy! Mmmm, she should totally go and say hi!
Bella went and did just that, running off without a second thought— why would she need to think twice about saying hi to someone cute? She ran past Arthos, Porthos, and Aramis on her way there, who all perked up at her presence before turning back to their game of chase with each other. She bounded over to the man, and pushed his dog out of the way as she playfully butted her head against his stomach.
She looked up, expecting a smile, only to be greeted with a horrified gasp. Her ears slumped as a whine escaped her throat, and she curiously pawed at his thigh, wondering why he was looking at her like that. Had she done something wrong? “Warf?”
She barked— didn’t Michael recognize her? “Mrriikal! Aaarrr ‘erra!”
Words were hard! “‘Erraa!” She barked again, trying to form the sounds she needed to pronounce her own name. Tail wagging, she pawed at Michael’s thigh again, staring up at him with big puppy eyes.
“G-get off of me!” Michael yelled back in response. He swatted Bella away with a terrified yelp, then shook his hand like he had cooties— which in his mind he might as well have! The… thing in front of him, it wasn’t natural! It was some horrific mutant between woman and dog! “Get! Go!”
Bella whined. “Aaahh ‘erra! Rrrhhaak… rhaak-aah mmreee?” She tried to ask if Michael recognized her.
Michael’s response was to drag his dog away from Bella and bolt towards the gate. “Desmond! Get away from that! Come on!” He yelled to his dog as he sprinted away, leaving Bella feeling a little lost and sad.
Why did he leave? Bella wondered to herself as she raised a leg over her head and licked her lower pair of teats, sniffing at her own crotch before shaking her head and getting back on all fours. She smelled nice… and oooh, the other doggies smelled nice too!
Just like that, Michael’s rejection faded from her mind, and Bella rushed off to play with the other dogs! She made it a few steps before another scent caught her attention… a familiar scent, warm, womanly, savory…
Gabby! Bella happily yipped when she saw her friend leading her German shepherd, Rocket, through the gate. She wasted no time rushing over, savoring the steady beat of her paws against the dirt before crashing into Gabby and knocking her over!
“Arf! Warf!” Bella barked, too excited by her friend’s smell to bother with words. She licked Gabby’s face as they tried to push her off, and she happily wagged her tail when her boobs squished against her friend’s. Fun!
“Ah! What the hell!?” Gabby yelped as she rolled out from beneath Bella. She scowled as she dusted herself off… then frowned. That was not a dog… and those brown locks, that freckled snout… this thing looked like Bella.
“Rawrf!” Bella wagged her tail, dropping her chest onto the ground as she raised her ass. “Gaaarrhy! Arf! Gaaarhy! Play!”
Stunned, Gabby just stared. Was it… calling her name? Her grip around Rocket’s leash slackened, and Rocket took advantage of her distraction to stick himself in front of Bella, dropping into a play position right in front of her.
Bella’s eyes lit up, her friend forgotten in favor of the new friend in front of her. “Arrr ‘erra!” She introduced herself, wagging her tail as she slowly circled around Rocket and stuck her snout between his thighs. She half-growled, half-giggled when he did the same, smacking her tail against his head as she inhaled his rich and musky scent. Nice! Manly!
Feeling confused, Gabby dug her phone out of her pocket. She had half a mind to call… someone, she didn’t know exactly who was responsible for taking care of human-animal hybrids, but after a moment of hesitation, she called Bella’s number instead. It was crazy, she thought. No way that was her friend…
Gabby’s eyes widened when she heard Bella’s phone buzzing on the ground a few dozen meters away from her. Her mouth dropped when she saw the shreds of clothing on the ground, and she slowly spun her head to look at her friend, feeling a trembly gurgle of anxious suspense settle into her gut.
She didn’t want to believe it— she didn’t even know how such a thing could be possible —but the evidence all pointed towards it being the case. Her friend…
…was being dicked down by Rocket’s rocket! Shit! She’d figure this out later, for now— “Rocket! Bad dog! Heel, boy! Rocket!!!”
