It appears that I'm working on a collection of stories with a loose theme - "TG caption tropes in your 30s." For some reason, I keep coming back to things that happen in TG captions and their long-term implications - the legal status of changed identities, what kind of jobs can people who spontaneously or regularly change gender have, what does dating, marriage, and parenthood look like in these circumstances, etc.

It's something I touch on briefly in The Week That Changed Me, and go a little more deeply into here and in my upcoming Fade serial. Maybe it's a midlife crisis talking, but it feels like there's a lot of unexplored ground here when TG captions and stories seem to mostly focus on the young or people becoming younger when they transform.
