This is one of those transitional chapters (no pun intended) that has the main purpose of going from where the previous chapter was to where I want the next chapter to go. I'm not unhappy with how it turned out, and the one bit that feels a little odd to me in isolation is going to get explained later.
And continuing a theme from Part 4, while I am not the boss of you and can't stop you if you really want to do it, I advise you not to put a copy of Virginia Woolf's novel Orlando anywhere near a penis; it is not what Woolf would have wanted.
