At his private manor, the crime lord known only as "The Stepfather" looked at the message one of his slaves had brought him along with the rest of the mail and the morning paper. After handing over the letters, she back, standing by, should he need anything else done. Her twin sister, meanwhile, stood ready, a tray of wine in hand should their master grow thirty while he looked over the papers, starting with the message.
A note from the gate-man who'd taken it said it had been hand delivered by a messenger. The Stepfather smiled as he recognized the handwriting on the outside of the letter. It was from Peter, his usual supplier of "domestic help." "Ah!" He said with a smile as he read over the letter. It seemed Pete was holding a slave auction and had extended a personal invitation, even pointing out several lots for sale that he would be interested in.
"Carol, go upstairs and pack my bags. I'll be traveling soon. When I come back, you two may have some new girls to show the ropes. Heh heh..."

"Ka-chunk! Ka-Chunk!" Andy struggled with the old stapler. He'd 'borrowed' it from an office while picking up a couple of the secretaries. They'd...slipped through his grasp in the end, but he'd managed to snag the stapler, along with some other office supplies, so the afternoon hadn't been a total waste...
"There we go!" Andy smiled, looking at his handy work. He'd run off a dozen or so flyers on the printer at the local library. He would have made more, but it cost 10 cents a pop for the color and he wasn't made of money, now was he? He thought he'd done a good job, putting it together on Microsoft Word. Prominent at the bottom was the photo he'd taken of his lovely captive, glaring up at him. "This should get a lot of attention." He thought. Already, he could see people out walking about, stopping to look at the flyers on the street poles back up the street where the others had been posted, among the missing pets, upcoming garage sales and advertisements for piano and guiter lessons.
"Better get back though." Andy thought. He thought he'd done a good job tying his slave up before he left, but they had a habit of getting loose the second he turned his back. "Be a bit embarrassing, wouldn't it? Advertise an auction and when it comes time, suddenly find you don't have anything to sell!"
