(Excerpt from Three Crowns Slave Fair: A Helpful Guide For The New Visitor)

Three Crowns: Special Offers

While most of the trade that passes through Three Crowns is composed of the usual breeds of slaves: Humans, Elves, Dwarves, etc. for the discerning buyer, looking for something unique, something exotic, something different, there was many sellers tucked here and there among the other stands and stalls providing slaves of a different sort. In this chapter, we will take a look at some of these unique sellers and the wares they have for offer to the jaded buyer in search of a slave that was wow and astound even the most worldly of their neighbors…

Elementals:

Summoned elementals have long been a key tool for the professional mage of wizard around the arcane laboratory and, as the secrets of summoning and binding them have become more common, their use within industries ranging from metalworking to mining to construction have been growing every year. While the nature of elementals makes them better suited for specialized tasks instead of general household slaves, the tasks for which these summoned slaves can be put to is limited only by their master’s imagination. Those interested are advised to seek out a copy of Archmage Yutani’s recent tome on the subject: “1001 Uses for Elementals Around the House and Lab.”

For those interested in purchasing an elemental slave, The Order of Zakar open a stall, annually, selling the excess elementals they and their apprentices have summoned over the previous year. Forerunners in the field of summoning and binding elemental servants, they are constantly innovating. This year, they offer a wide selection of Water-, Fire-, Earth- and Wind-elementals for sale, of varying power and price. Their representative told me they are also experimenting with new types of specialized elementals outside the Classic Four: Ice, Lightning, Magma…though for the moment these are not perfected and thus not available for sale.

All elementals come with a 10-year warranty, obedience guaranteed. Each purchase comes with a single use Sending scroll. Should the purchaser have any trouble with their summoned elemental (say for example: the magic vessel containing their essence was damage, disrupting the binding spells placed on them causing the elemental to run amok) they simply need to break the wax seal on the scroll and a team of trained elemental wranglers will teleport to their location to subdue and recapture them. All orders to elementals must be given in the Ancient Lost Language of Mages. For those who do not speak the Ancient Lost Language of Mages, pamphlets with common orders and phrases are available at no extra charge as well as copies of Archmage Tormundar’s scroll: “So you want to learn the Ancient Lost Language of Mages?” for only a small additional fee…
