Then, I had another idea where her company is negotiating a business deal with another corporation and the CEO of the other company is worried whether or not they can be trusted with the project, so she arranged a fake kidnapping/interrogation to test whether Madeleine can handle things. <br />Eventually, the two ideas sort of ended up merging into the story as is.
