“Heh! Cold in there?” The man said, popping open the lid of the trunk.
Curled up in the cramped space, Janet could only groan miserably, anything more pointed she might have wanted to say rendered unintelligible by the layers of tape plastered over her lips and the wad of cloth packing her mouth behind the silver band. Of course she was cold! Not only was the trunk she’d spent the last several hours bouncing around in unheated in the middle of October, the 26-year old woman was completely naked, aside from the tape of course, but while it sealed her mouth shut and wrapped her wrists and ankles, torso and knees, in tight sticky bands, it did nothing to keep her warm or give modesty to her fit, slender body.
Her captor merely laughed at her obvious discomfort. “Well, luckily for you, where we’re going is heated.” Reaching into the trunk, he scooped up the young woman in a set of strong arms and lifted her up, out of the cramped space. He set her up, sitting on the edge of the trunk, legs dangling off outside the car. Taking a small utility knife from his pocket, the man bent and began sawing at the ring of tape joining Janet’s ankles together. As he did so, Janet looked around and shivered, only partly from the cold.
The car was parked at the end of a long, gravel drive. All around was empty fields, the grass brown and dead, ringed by a distant treeline, their branches equally devoid of leaves. The only thing in sight was a house, some ten or twenty yards off from the drive. It was single-story, plainly built and lacked any sort of decor or sign that it was a home, rather then simply a habitation.
“There we go!” Janet’s captor said, peeling away the tape from the young woman’s feet. To her surprise and disappointment, he made no move to cut the rest of the tape holding her captive, but picked her up again and set her on her feet on the gravel. She winced, the small hard rocks digging into her soft soles. “Come on!” The man said, grabbing the young woman by her upper arm. “Get moving!”
Janet wasn’t sure she wanted to go. Everything that had happened to her today had been strange and terrifying and she was sure it wasn’t going to get better now. The day had started normally enough, with the young woman going out for her morning job, like always. She’d returned a little after 7 am and had gone to take a shower, to clean up before she headed off to work. While she’d been enjoying the hot, steamy shower, her captor must have snuck in and waited by the bathroom door. When Janet eventually came out, wrapped in a towel, he’d pounced. It had happened so suddenly, Janet never had a chance. One arm grabbed her around the middle, while the other clamped a rag or something to her mouth and nose. Before she realized what she was doing, Janet took a deep breath, preparing to scream for help. Instead, the knockout drugs soaked into the rag had hit her hard. In moments, Janet was too weak to struggle or even scream and before long slipped into unconsciousness.
When the young woman regained consciousness, she was in the trunk of a car, bouncing down the highway. Her towel was gone and her limbs and mouth were taped up. For an hour or more Janet struggled, until she was forced to accept it was pointless. Between the layers of tape wrapping her body and the cramped space hindering her movement, she wasn’t going to struggle free any time soon. Better to conserve her strength and hope a better opportunity to escape came along. So she lay, shivering in the cold trunk, waiting to see where she was being taken.
The kidnapper gave his captive a sharp tug on the arm. Helpless, she stumbled forward, her movements hampered by the tape wrapping her knees. At the slow hobble it reduced her to, it seemed to take forever to cross the distance to the house. Janet cursed the wind that blew over the field, bitterly cold, chilling the naked young woman. The man, wearing a heavy jacket and gloves didn’t seem to mind, if anything Janet’s discomfort amused him. The two circled around to the back of the house, where there was a side door; a heavy metal piece with a large padlock. The young woman waited, shivering miserably, as her captor fished out a ring of keys, taking his time finding the right one and undoing the padlock. Despite her fear, as soon as he got the door open she shuffled inside, hoping to get out of the cold.
To her bitter disappointment, despite her abductor’s promise, the room inside was nearly as cold as the outside. The only benefit was she was now out of the wind, though standing on the room’s bare concrete floor was hardly an improvement.
“Oops!” The man chuckled at Janet’s groan of misery. “Guess I forgot to turn on the heater last time I was up here.” Stepping past Janet, he turned a switch by the door. Above, a single naked bulb came on, lighting up the dark space. The captive girl’s groans of discomfort turned to moans of dismay as she saw where she’d been brought.
The side door opened into a small room, not more than fifteen feet square, the walls, floor and ceiling spartan and unfinished. Most of the space was taken up by a large cage. It was an imposing structure, with a solid floor and ceiling, separated by half-inch vertical metal bars spaced a couple inches from each other. Horizontal bars reinforced it at the middle and near the top and bottom. The top was at about shoulder height for Janet. On one side was a door, barred as well, with heavy duty lock. The inside was mostly empty, aside from a thin cloth pallet and a plastic bucket.
As Janet stood, looking in horror at what she was certain would be her living quarters here, the young woman’s captor went and switched on a small space heater which began the herculean task of warming the place up. He then grabbed a cardboard box from a corner of the room. It clanked loudly, as he lifted it up.
“Stand over there.” He ordered, pointing to a space in the center of the room. As Janet reluctantly shuffled towards him, the man set the box back down and opened it up. Inside was a tangled mass of chains, shackles and other restraints. Seeing this, Janet froze, her instinct being to turn and flee, but rationalism asserted itself. With her knees still taped, she could hardly walk, let alone flee. All she’d accomplish was to make her captor angry for having to chase her down. Glumly, she kept shuffling and soon stood by the man.
Her kidnapper, in the meantime, had taken out a chain of heavy steel links, maybe three or four feet long, untangling it from the rest of the box’s contents. Approaching Janet, the man wrapped the chain around her middle, so that one end met a point halfway down its length at her front, leaving the remaining length of chain dangling between her legs. It was swiftly secured in place by a small padlock slipped through the two links where they overlapped.
As soon as the metal met Janet’s bare skin, she jumped, letting out a muffled squeal. The chains were ice cold! She shivered, squirming wildly, but the chain didn’t budge. Chuckling at his captive’s discomfort, the man dug into the box again, this time taking out a pair of shackles joined by a short chain. Drawing his knife, he cut the tape on Janet’s wrists, leaving the bands circling her torso and upper arms. While she was thus still hampered, he easily slipped the cuffs around her wrists, locking them on.
After cutting the rest of the tape from her arms and knees, the man reached between the young woman’s legs from behind and grabbed the dangling end of the chain around her middle. She had just enough time to realize what he was doing and grunt a frantic plea, all in vain. As the cold metal met the young woman’s privates, she squealed like a branded calf, jumping in a futile attempt to get the cold metal away from her sensitive areas. The man kept it there, pressed tight, attacking the end of the chain to that of her handcuffs with another padlock.
One final set of shackles went around Janet’s ankles, linking them together with a six inch chain. Straightening up, her captor slowly peeled the tape away from her cheeks, enough to get a solid grip on it. Then, in one quick motion that made her yelp, he pulled the tape gag off. Reaching between her teeth, he extracted the several pairs of panties stuffed in her mouth, tossing them casually to the side. Janet groaned in relief, a feeling which died as she saw the gag he dug out of the box next.
“You’ve got to be kidding…” She muttered, eyes wide. It was a heavy leather panel gag. On the inside was a long, thick rubber prong. “There’s no wa-Mmmppphhh!” Janet was cut off as her kidnapper came forward and shoved the gag between her lips. She shook her head, trying to dislodge the muzzle, but the plug slid in deeper and deeper, filling her mouth nearly as much as the wadded up panties had. When the leather panel met her blushing cheeks, the man pulled the straps around behind her head and buckled them on tight.
“Now, let’s get you in your cage.” Janet was taken by the arm and led, forcefully, to the cage. Her captor produced his ring of keys and unlocked the door, swinging it open with a quiet shriek of unoiled hinges. The low ceiling meant the young woman had to bend over, near double, to get inside. As soon as she was in, the cage door was slammed shut behind her and locked once more.
Unable to stand upright, Janet settled for sitting down on the thin cloth pallet, trying to avoid touching the floor or bars of the cage which, unsurprisingly, were as cold to the touch as her restraints. She glared through the bars miserably as the man packed away the box with the rest of the restraints, then returned to the cage, grinning as he looked in at the helpless young woman and chuckling evilly at her misfortune.
“Don’t worry…” He teased his prisoner. “This is only temporary accommodations…a couple days, a week at the most, just until we finish the final negotiations.” Seeing the look of confusion on her face, the man laughed. “Oh, didn’t I tell you? Suppose not. A few days ago, I took some photographs of you out jogging and put them up on the dark web, advertising you for sale as a slave.” Janet gave a muffled gasp of alarm. “That’s right, I put you up for sale and someone offered to buy you last night. That’s why I picked you up this morning. We’re just finalizing the price and, once we strike a deal, I’ll deliver you to your new owner…”
