“God, what a day…” Samantha groaned as she came through the front door. No sooner had she gotten in then she kicked off her shoes with more then a little relief. Not for the first time, she cursed the pig who had insisted all of the female sales clerks at the upscale boutique she worked at wear business formal wear, with skirts and pantyhose and high heels. She reached up and undid the bun her auburn hair was in, letting it fall in long curls around her shoulders.

“Anyone home?” She called, not really expecting a reply. She usually got home from work before either of her two roommates. Sure enough, silence greeted her as she walked into the house. Her mind began to shift gears, from the workday to her weekend, deciding what she could do for dinner and what she wanted to do after that; whether she should go out clubbing and dancing with the girls or just stay in tonight and relax…

The first Samantha knew she wasn’t alone in the house was when an arm came around from behind her, swinging in wide around her side. It clamped tight over her torso, just below her breasts, at the same time pinning her arms to her sides. As she was pulled back, against a broad, burly chest behind her, she turned, catching a brief glimpse of a figure behind her, their face obscured by a black ski mask. Then a white cloth was pressed over her face. She caught a chemical whiff off the cloth and immediately began to feel faint. Everything went dark…

“…ugh…” Samantha gave a long groan as consciousness returned. When she opened her eyes, everything was dark. She had no memory of where she was, or how she’d gotten here, wherever ‘here’ was… It took her sometime to recall what had happened, as her head was still fuzzy in the after effects of the knockout drugs. She’d gotten home from work, had been heading into the kitchen and…

“Mmmppphhh!!!” Samantha gave a sudden cry of alarm as she remembered her attack. It came out as more of a quiet whimper instead. She could feel some wad of cloth, filling the inside of her mouth while another band cut across her lips, keeping it in.

She tried to get up, but her arms and legs didn’t want to cooperate. What felt like plastic bands circled her wrists and ankles, cutting painfully into her skin. As she squirmed, she bumped against walls, close around her. She could feel soft piles of clothing and harder objects that felt like boxes and shoes all around her. When she got her head up, somewhat, it brushed against the hanging jackets and dresses and other clothes above her.

“I’m in my closet!” She thought to herself. She was sure it was her own. She could feel one of her favorite pairs of boots poking her in the side. The knowledge that she was still in her home helped calm her fears somewhat. She had been grabbed and drugged by some masked intruder, but at least he hadn’t also carried her off to god-knows-where. At least not yet…

Just as Samantha was starting to think through some plan of getting out of the closet, she heard a voice, muffled by the door of the closet, but definitely close by. “Sam? Sam are you home?” It was one of her roommates, Ginger. Samantha must have been unconscious for half an hour or so, long enough for Ginger to get home from her job as well.

Relief soared in Samantha’s heart. Rescue was close at hand. “EeeeeNnnnGggRrrr!” She grunted through her gag, as loud as she could manage. “Mmmm nnnn eeeerrr!”

Her efforts were not in vain. A moment later, she heard her roommate call out again. “Sam? Sam is that you?” It sounded like Ginger was coming closer, walking to the closet.

“EeeennnGggRrrr!” Samantha continued to call. “Eeelll eee!”

Then, everything went wrong. Ginger was just starting to call out to Samantha when she was cut off mid-word. Samantha heard another muffled yelp and what sounded like a brief struggle. It didn’t take her long to figure out what had happened: the intruder had known Samantha’s cries would attract Ginger. He’d been lying in wait, ready to grab her as soon as she came in and now, like Samantha had already been, Ginger had been grabbed and knocked out.

Samantha groaned in dismay, feeling equal parts guilt at playing part in her friend’s capture and fear now that her hoped for rescue had been snatched away. She struggled some more against the zipties binding her, but they remained unyielding and there was nothing, she knew, in her closet that could cut the sturdy plastic.

A few minutes later, the closet door opened, blinding Samantha at the sudden light. A shadow stepped over her, the intruder. In his hands was Ginger. The young woman was slumped over, though not completely out as Samantha had been. Either she hadn’t gotten the full dose Samantha had, or the rush of adrenaline from her brief struggle had helped her body work through the drugs quicker. Her eyes went wide with fright as she saw Samantha tied up and gagged. A low moan of fright escaped her own tightly gagged lips.

“I’ll leave you ladies to catch up.” The man teased, setting Ginger down on the floor of the closet beside Samantha. The small space had been cramped for one adult woman and with two, they were pressed close together. “You settle down in there…” He pointed a finger at Samantha, wagging it playfully. “Unless you want to smell chloroform again.” He chuckled, enjoying the whimpers of fright from his two scared captives.

“Anyway, sit quiet for just a little while, till your other friend gets here.” He told the women. “Then we can move you three out…” With that, he shut the closet door, cutting off their terrified screams…
