It was late one evening. Daphne Blake was in her bedroom, getting ready for bed. After brushing her teeth and changing into her nightgown, the young redheaded woman climbed beneath the sheets. Tomorrow, she and the rest of the gang were going to drive the mystery machine down to the coast to look into sightings of fish people in the small town of Innsmouth. She grinned. Probably just some more smugglers, or maybe treasure hunters, trying to scare folks away.

With a yawn, she reached over and switched off the bedside lamp, plunging the room into darkness. Pulling the sheets around her lithe body, she rolled over and was soon fast asleep. As she gently slumbered, Daphne didn't notice as the bedroom window quietly slid open. She didn't stir as a mysterious shadow silently crossed the room and stood over her bed, a hand outstretched over the blissfully unaware young woman…

"mmmMMPPPHHH!!!" Daphne's eyes shot open as the figure's hand suddenly darted down, clamping a cloth over her mouth. Her hands reached up, trying to pull the gloved hand away, but the figure's strength was too much. As she struggled, a familiar tingling smell filled Daphne's nostrils. "Chloroform." She thought to herself, with horror, realizing she was about to be kidnapped once again.

The young woman struggled to hold her breath, but she knew it was already too late. Gradually, her struggles weakened as the drug took hold. The last thing she felt before unconsciousness enveloped her were strong arms pulling the sheets back and picking up her still body…

"uuuuoooogggghhh…" Daphne groaned. Her eyelids fluttered, struggling to stay open, heavy with drug induced exhaustion. As the last of the chloroform worked its way out of her system, the young woman slowly began to take in her surroundings. Her eyes widened in horror.

The young woman lay on the floor of what could only be described as a cell; a small, narrow room, with walls, floor and ceiling of bare concrete. It was lit by a single, naked bulb overhead. The only way in the room was a large, metal door in front of her. The young woman shivered, partly from fear, partly from the cold. She was still dressed in her nightgown, the thin material doing little to insulate her from the cold stone beneath her.

"mmmppphhh!!!" Daphne groaned, struggling to sit up. As she did, a long chain rattled. Looking down, she saw a metal chain, running from a ring bolted to the floor of the cell, to a shackle, locked securely around on ankle. Her hands had been locked behind her back with a pair of handcuffs. Finally, a large, rubber ballgag was lodged between her teeth, silencing her cries.

Just then, the door to her cell opened with a shrieked of unoiled hinges. Daphne looked up as a hooded, cloaked figure stepped through the door. "You're awake. Good. My guests were getting restless."

"Guests?" Daphne thought to herself. She tensed as her captor bent over to free her ankle shackle. When he'd freed her foot, the young woman suddenly kicked out, aiming for the groin. To her dismay, her kidnapper had been expecting something like that. At the last minute, he twisted away, grabbing her ankle in one hand.

"Spirited. They'll love that!" He said. Beneath his hood, Daphne saw a wide, cruel grin cross his face. He reached down and roughly hauled his captive to her feet. Daphne struggled, as the man locked a collar around her neck. Attached to the collar was a short metal chain. Grabbing the end of it, the kidnapper gave a sharp tug, almost yanking the young woman off her feet. She was no choice but to follow him out of the
cell.

Outside, she found herself in a hallway. Lining it, on either side, were more doors, similar to the one on her cell. It might have been her imagination, but Daphne thought she could hear muffled cries coming from several of the cell doors.

She didn't have long to listen, though. Another hard tug on leash forced the captive woman to hurry after the cloaked man. "Come along, my dear. We've no time to dawdle. Mustn't keep my guests waiting. They're all so eager to see you…"

They passed through another door, and Daphne suddenly found herself in a large, dimly lit room. At one end of the room was a small wooden stage. It was here that she was led by her captor. In front of the stage were a dozen or so chairs. Seated in those chairs were…

"Oh my God!" Daphne thought, moaning into her gag in fright. "I thought all of these people were still in jail!" Looking over the crowd, Daphne easily recognized them in their costumes. There near the front, was Buck Masters, aka the "Ghost of Geronimo!" Daphne and the gang had put an end to his plot to win the Pure Bred Dog Show. Next to him was C.L. Magnus, the shipping magnate, alias "Redbeard the Pirate." The gang had busted him and his pirate crew and their plans to rob his own ships and scam the insurance money.

In the second row were Zeke and Zeb Perkins, two crooks, who'd sunk an armored truck in the swamps and dressed up as the swamp witch and her zombie slave to scare people away while they searched for the money. Sitting alongside him were Mr. Fong, aka the Ghost of Zen Tuo and his two henchmen! It had been Daphne's accidental purchase of his mask that had led to the gang uncovering his smuggling operation. Sitting in the back, beside "Big Bob" Oakley, the treasure hunter was Harry the Hypnotist, who'd terrorized the circus in revenge for being fired.

To the young woman's horror, they recognized her too. The assorted crooks jeered and leered as Daphne was led on stage. Cruel eyes ran up and down her body, barely concealed beneath the thin nightgown she had on. The masked kidnapper forced her to stand in the middle of the stage. He unlocked her handcuffs, before re-securing them in front of her this time.

A hook on a cable hung from a pulley on the ceiling. He slipped the hook under the chain of Daphne's cuffs, and pressed a button on a remote control. Somewhere behind Daphne, a motor whirred and the hook quickly rose. Daphne was forced to raise her hands above her head, and then was forced to stand on her tiptoes, stretched out completely.

Grinning, the hooded man turned to address his audience. "Good evening, gentleman.
Welcome to tonight's auction."

"Auction!" Daphne thought to herself, giving a groan of horror.

"We have one item up for bidding this evening, a young lady, whom I'm sure most of you have met before." Grinning evilly, the man turned and gestured to Daphne who squirmed in her bonds, moaning in terror. "One lucky winner will have the privilege of taking this young lady home with him for whatever purposes he might have for her."

Cheers rang up from the assembled villains. Daphne's eyes widened with terror. Having put all of them in jail at one point or another, the young woman knew she could expect little mercy, whoever bought her. The best she could hope for was a quick death!

"Now," The man continued. "Before we begin the bidding. If you would all like to come up on stage and examine the goods…"

Daphne squealed in terror as a stampede of costumed crooks rushed onto the stage. Within moments, her nightgown was gone, torn off by grasping hands. The young woman closed her eyes, trying to wake up from this nightmare as she felt dozens of hands feeling up her body, groping her breasts, pinching her.

"MMMPPPHHH!" She grunted indignantly into her gag, face flushing bright crimson with embarrassment as a hand reached between her legs, feeling her sex through the thin cloth of her panties. Pretty soon, even that was gone, ripped to pieces. She squirmed, trying to shake off the offending crowd, but her struggles only excited the mob. Jeering, they pressed in closer, growing bolder with their lewd probing.

Tears welled up in her eyes as the seemingly endless crowd of bidders rushed forward to crowd around her. Finally, after what seemed like hours to the sobbing young woman, Daphne heard the masked auctioneer announce, "Gentleman, if you'd please return to your seats, so we can begin the bidding. You'll have plenty of time to enjoy her…provided you've got the highest bid!"

Reluctantly, the villains filed back to their seats, leering back over their shoulders at Daphne as they shuffled off the stage. The young woman slumped limply, hanging from the rope binding her wrists. When the crowd has quieted down, the masked auctioneer coughed to clear his throat.

"Now, let's begin…" he grinned, slapping Daphne's naked bottom, causing the young woman to squeal indignantly into her gag, jumping up and down. Below her, the villain's howled with laughter at her shame. "Shall we start the bidding at $5000? Do I hear $5000 for this young lady?"

Almost immediately, Redbeard jumped to his feet. "$5000!" He cried out. Before he'd even finished, Mr. Fong shot back, "She must belong to Zen Tuo! $10,000!" All at once, the other villains began shouting their bids. Daphne moaned in fright as the bidding quickly rose, first to $25,000, then to $50,000.

The masked auctioneer grinned, practically dancing on the stage with glee as the bids rose. "That's $75,000 for the man in the Indian costume. Do I hear $80,000? $80,000 to the pirate!" He slapped Daphne's backside once more. "Come on, my dear. Dance for the bidders. Show 'em what they're bidding for!" grunting in fright, Daphne twisted this way and that, trying to avoid the blows raining down on her, to the delight of the villains. The bidding quickly rose past $100,000.

At $150,000 it finally began to slow. Soon, there were only three villains left in the bidding, Redbeard, Zen Tuo and Harry the Hypnotist, who'd jumped in the bidding late.
"$155,000!" Redbeard cried, waving his cutlass. "$160,000!" the clown shouted back. With a scowl, the pirate sat back down. "Arrrr…there be plenty of wenches out there for the taking…"

"$175,000!" Zen Tuo bid. "She will suffer greatly for ruining my operations. As my concubine, her torment shall be great!"

"$200,000!" Harry shot back. "And a pretty coin of gold too!"

With a grunt of disgust, the Chinese smuggler shrugged. Up on stage, the masked auctioneer exclaimed, "Very well. If there are no more bids, that's $200,000 going once…twice…SOLD!"

Daphne groaned in fear. She'd been sold! The other villain's jeered as the clown jumped to his feet, cackling evilly, and ran to the stage. The auctioneer lowered the chain holding Daphne's wrists, and quickly locked them behind her back once more. Smiling widely, he handed the end of her leash to Harry, Daphne's new owner.

"Come along, my dear!" He said, leering at her. "I've got a new act in mind for you. One I'm sure you'll love!" With that, he tugged sharply on the leash. Glumly, Daphne followed after him, wondering miserably what lay in store for her.

The clown led her through what appeared to be a lobby. The other villains were gathered around in the room, chatting to one another. A few turned to congratulate Harry on his new purchase, or advise him on how to make that "snooping bitch pay!" Daphne flinched at some of the suggestions. Her new owner might decide to do any manner of horrifying things to her, and there was nothing she could do to stop him.

As she was led out of the lobby, she heard some of the villain's talking. "So, who's up for sale next week? Velma?"

"Nah, who'd bid on that plain looking bitch. From what I've heard, he's got some nosy snoop named Nancy Drew lined up for the next auction. A whole bunch of crooks are coming in to bid on her…"

Through the doors, Daphne found herself in a back alley. She shivered as a gust of cold night air blew over her naked body, chilling the young woman. Dawn was still a few hours away, near as she could tell. The clown led her down the alley and around a corner.

"Alright, that should be far enough." He said, only now his voice sounded different. In fact, Daphne thought she recognized it.

"RRRRREEEEEd?" She grunted into her gag, in confusion. Her eyes widened with joy as her captor turned, reaching up, and pulled off the rubber mask. It was Fred! He grinned, reaching forward to remove Daphne's gag.

"Are you alright?" He asked. "The rest of the gang is waiting with the mystery machine. Velma swung by your place last night, and discovered you'd been kidnapped. We managed to track you back to here, and we called the police."

Just then, a number of sirens suddenly broke the early morning quiet. Fred grinned. "They surrounded the place, but we were afraid if they went in, they might hurt you. So we came up with this plan to get you out." He held up the mask. "The police picked up Harry two days ago, hypnotizing bank tellers. I guess he needed cash for the auction. Since he wasn't using this costume, I figured I'd put it to good use…"

"My hero!" Daphne exclaimed, leaning closer to him. "Why don't we head back to your place, and I can 'reward' you…"

"Yes ma'am!" Fred said with a smile.

"…umm Fred?"

"yes, Daphne?"

"You can finish untying me now…"

"oh…alright…"
