What a week it's been for Smackdown! The arrival of Jeff Hardy had the fans talking. What was truly in store for the Charasmatic Enigma? After a back and forth encounter with Muhammed Hassan, many felt his path would take him towards Hassan, and his championship. However it was confirmed via WWE.com that Jeff Hardy would compete against Rikishi for the final spot in the Money in the bank ladder match at Wrestlemania. What a match! Fast forward to present day, our scene opens inside an empty ring, clearly the OMEGA ring, a historical chapter in the life of Jeff Hardy. Hardy would hunch over the ropes, as his gaze radiated throughout the entire scene. He waste no time in starting his speech.
JEFF HARDY
Wounds cut like a broken knife, man. Words hurt even more. A thousand tales, and a million miles on my body, and I still love this business. Last week was truly somethin' special, man. The roar of that crowd chantin' my name -- I knew I came back for the right reasons. Long cast aside like a proverbial thief, I stared adversity directly in the eyes, and I laughed at those demons. Each, and everyone that WANTED to see me FAIL. Once upon a time, I wasn't a believer in miracles, but I stand today as livin' proof. Through adversity, through hate, through self neglect -- I stand together with all my creatures, all these rejects and misfits in saying that DAMN DOES IT FEEL GOOD TO BE BACK! (A small smile creeps across the face for Hardy, but it doesn't last long.) With that said, I've returned, and yet I still look in this mirror askin' if I still have what it takes. Is Jefferey Nero Hardy still good enough to be a WWE superstar? And those same demons attempt to slide right back into my memory, and I look 'em all in the face, and I say: Demons be damned, I am no more. I am forever and always, Jeff Hardy. And to that, I have no morals. I have no failures. I have but one goal -- The money in the bank.
A soft pause comes across through Jeff as he doesn't say a word. His gaze continues to pulsate as he hunches over the set of ring ropes that he once made famous. This gesture is followed up by a sigh from Hardy as he slowly nods his head. He would mutter a few more words. This time addressing his opponent for the week, Rikishi.

This briefcase holds everything dear to me. To finally reach the top of the ladder, and become a champion once more. I need this to prove to myself that I'm no more failure than those cast aside for judgement, man. See, I have to face a man I ADMIRE, and I RESPECT. When I came back here, man -- I knew the stakes that I'd face. I knew the truths that would be laid at my feet. But it never makes it easier, man. For you Rikishi, we've known each other a great while. I consider you a friend, man. I consider you someone that I'd fight for. I'd back, man. Years ago, you looked out for me, and I'll look out for you. I was a young kid with a dream, and you had that lineage to follow through. That bloodline, man. People ate it alive. You shook your butt to the roar of these people, and I tore the roof down from a ladder. We're two different people, Rikishi, but we're all the same as well. (Hardy slowly shakes his head.) Y'see man, we couldn't be anymore different clothes cut from the ropes of life, but we have the same morals. We have the same values. These people drive us, 'Kish. And it's an honor really to be fighting against you in my return, but man -- I can't let you stand in my way of opportunity. I get the taste of success is something you want too, and you deserve it more than anybody, and I promise your time will come, man -- But I NEED this NOW. I have never backed down from a fight, and I've never once questioned this business, man. But if I fail tryin'? I might as well pack my bags. 'Cause if I fail? Jeff Hardy is no more. Jeff Hardy is a failure. The same tale of regrets I've had over the years, man? They'll be nothing but certified truth stapled across chest. So with all due respect, man -- I need this more than you...
Once more a small pause would slide across the face of Hardy as he would shake his head from side to side. He admired Rikishi. He considered him a friend, but he had his own goals in mind. His own personal achievements that he would like to accomplish, and in order to do that -- He would have to defeat his good friend. Hardy would clutch tightly at the ropes as a small wince would escape him. A soft sigh soon follows, as he continues to speak on his opponent for the week.
JEFF HARDY
We look at the top of this mountain top, 'Kish, and I remember us talking about the past greats. Your cousin, Yoko, man? Yeah, I remember him. I remember all those stories you'd tell the boys. How you wanted to follow in his footsteps. How you always had a goal in mind, man? I loved it. Every second I got to listen to you. It wasn't about that in-ring business, but it's about the chapters of our lives that we create inside this business that matter most. I'm forever grateful for all you've given me as a friend, but I must step aside as a friend, and come to you as a foe. (Hardy looks up. A look of pure determination.) 'Cause I want this chance more than anything. For this match cements myself into Wrestlemania, where I can usher in a new chapter of my life. I can create a legacy. I can create and change my destiny on a whim, because when I beat you, 'Kish? No hard feelings. And after I do defeat you, and I walk into Wrestlemania, man? I'm gonna win that MONEY IN THE BANK! I'm going to create a chapter never seen before, man. It's all your expense, my friend, and for that I'm sorry. But when the champagne pours, and I'm standing as the World Heavyweight champion of this company-- I can say we did it together. No disrespect. (A final nod escapes Jeff, who looks to end strongly.) And for all the misfits around the world -- The naysayers, and doubters who provoke you, stand with me as we stand against this hate, we embrace our selfless fates. My creatures of the night -- This is for each, and everyone of you. It starts with you, Big 'Kish, and it ends with the holiest of grails. The shining achievement of a lifetime, man. The sweet taste of success, and the bittersweet aroma of a target on your back. God as my witness, I shall not fall. I shall not defy my failures any longer. This mountain top will be defied by my likeness. And atop it, I will defeat you, 'Kish. I will walk into Wrestlemania as a man with a dream once more, and I will leave with my dreams solely in the palm of my hands. Forevermore, I stand before you as Jeff Hardy. A pinnacle. An enigma. A failure. A father.A future money in the bank winner. But soon to be...CHAMPION!
Those would be the final words from Hardy who would take a step back from the ropes as he stood in the midst of the ring itself. His imagery would flash before us several times, before meeting us with several images of his past iconic ladder match spots. The lights in the arena would flicker before revealing a lone ladder in the middle of the ring. The camera would pan back to the likeness of Hardy once more, who would stare at the ladder before closing his eyes. He would slowly make his way towards the ladder, before setting his first foot onto the first step of the ladder itself. At this point, Hardy's eyes would open, as the imagery of the ladder was gone -- It was just Hardy by his lonesome once more. Around him was the visage of many paintings, mostly adorned by his creations. Their likenesses beginning to fade away into the background, leaving just Hardy by his lonesome once more. He would turn to the camera once more, as a light shine bright above the scene -- Revealing the ladder once more. The overflow of static once more cuts, as we transition to the likeness of Hardy standing atop the ladder representing the Money in The bank. At this point the scene would fade to black.
