our heart's invested in feeding everyone lies, I've seen so many of you come and go, That's 'cause your in it for all the wrong f***ing reasons. You can't expect to live off of those lies and survive. I may not have built this kingdom but, I'll make f***ing sure that I protect it from you
Pete Dunne had done the unthinkable. He had successfully shocked the entire world less than a week ago. His triumphant victory over Sami Zayn cemented his own legacy at the top of the WWEx ladder. In the process, securing the Intercontinental championship away from Zayn. This is where our imagery begins. The bare image of Pete Dunne grasping both championships over his shoulders. The European championship on his right, while the IC championship sat on his left shoulder. The true defining epitome of success was shown across the smile of Dunne. But the real question was a simple one -- Where exactly was Dunne? It didn't seem like he was anywhere near the other performers. Exacting his own pursuit by his lonesome, Dunne had a table placed in front of him. His passion filled eyes scan over the scene as his piercing led glare gawks directly at us, the viewers. Rested upon the table was three sheets of paper. Dunne would set both of his respective championships to the side of the table. Using both as a prop more so than a personal accolade at this exact moment. His casual glare follows through with a somber nod as he openly addresses the camera for the first time in this epic cameo.
PETE DUNNE: I wasn't supposed to be the man who changed tha' world. I was never supposed to etch my name in infamy, but last week; I did jus' that. Silencing tha' world wit' not one, not two, but THREE pedigrees. Tha' crowd went quiet. Then there was nothin' more than sheer hate at tha' emergence of a new true king. Of a new true champion. I took tha' lackluster reign created by Sami Zayn, and ushered in a brand new era within' this company. Tha' golden accolade of yet another championship added to my resume was nothin' more than a promise I set forth last week. With my actions came implications. For now, I find myself aligned wit' my ONLY friend, Triple H.
Dunne allows a soft pause to come across him as he rejoices in the mere thought of aligning with his formidable foe. The talent of Triple H was one almost unmatched. To Dunne, being aligned with one of the most decorated performers in this business was not only a dream come true, but a moment that would once again bolster his already high driven resume. A soft cackle adorns Dunne as he reaches to the table. Grasping the first sheet of paper. Written in bold letters was the words: MY ONE TRUE FRIEND!. Under these crimson colored letters as expected was an image of both Dunne, and Triple H. Pete shifts his gaze over the image as he runs his hand across his newly won Intercontinental championship.
PETE DUNNE: Tha' naive actions of others have lambasted an utter content to see me fail. But alas, Hunter has ensured me tha' no matter tha' actions of others -- I will be tha' one who stands tall. Last week, Hunter enclosed information as to jus' wha' I needed to do in order to downsize tha' otherwise embarrassing showin' from Sami Zayn. Just like all tha' weeks prior, Hunter held his best interest in myself. He wanted to see me succeed, and pushed me in tha' right direction to accommodate for my past mistakes. My utter failure of aligning with men who NEVER once wanted to see me succeed. Isn't that right, Trent? It's tha' biggest crisis inside this business as a whole. You have FAKE friends who will use you, and then stab 'ya in tha' back when you least expect it. A story compelled by Hunter and I's unfortunate opponents. Two men who as of late, dare I say? We have made a true example out of. Once again, Hunter and I find yet another perseverent thorn in our side by tha' name of Sami Zayn, and tha' man who left this business to become an actor. A disrespect filled action where MONEY he sought out. That disgustin' action is led by none other than Tha' Rock.
Pete Dunne sets the image of Triple H down for a moment as he grabs the next image. This one holds the imagery of both Sami Zayn, and The Rock. Written in the same crimson tone was the words: A TALE OF TWO FAILED PERFORMERS. Dunne lets a morbid sneer escape him as the mere image of both of these men disgusted Dunne. They were the epitome of a true polar opposite of our dual champion. Two men who Dunne has clearly had disinterest in. He would lunge forward, driving his fist onto the table before him. His eyes scanning the scene with nothing more than pure anger. His true disgust was present for the entire world to see.
PETE DUNNE: Let us be honest wit' ourselves. There is no unmatched crowning achievement to be met wit' either Sami or Tha' Rock. Especially after weeks of actions led by Hunter and I; I neither long for this encounter, nor am I worried in tha' slightest. And some might even go as far as to say I'm disrespectin' both Sami and Tha' Rock, and that's perfectly fine. 'Cause let's be perfectly honest wit' one another. I'm a little less than two weeks away from facin' AJ Styles for tha' WWEx Championship. I don't need either Sami Zayn or Tha' Rock to prove myself. Nor does Hunter who has already made an example out of tha' both of 'em. But it's rather funny that tha' complacent nature of this business has trusted both Sami Zayn, and Tha' Rock in an otherwise unnecessary affair. 'Cause we all know tha' inevitable is set to occur before our very eyes. We can't deny tha' fate of this company. It's no true secret tha' Hunter and I have our own agenda, and together, as a man of my WORD -- Hunter and I will accomplish every goal we embark upon. Everything put before us, we shall break down those barriers, and cement our legacy as tha' greatest performers in tha' history of this business. But then we have an unanswered question set before us. If Hunter and I decide tha' very foundation of this company. Then wha' tha' hell does that bare for both Sami and Dwayne?
Perhaps his ego drove home with this last point. Dunne allows a soft pause to come across him once more as his eyes scan across the imagery of Triple H and himself. The true terror this duo has placed before WWEx has been one of infamy. These two are obviously two of the most hated men in this company. Where as Sami and The Rock stood as two of the most beloved. This truly was a battle of Good, and Evil.
PETE DUNNE: I often like to spread tha' truth before tha' inevitable encounter. I made promise I would rid TJP of his European championship. And I took away his pride, and made it mine. Jus' like last week, I sufficed a point on emphasis where I laid claim tha' I would rid Sami of his crown jewel. His one true love. Yet again, I was a man of my word. Which ties in wit' this epic encounter some would say. As a man who has yet to taste defeat since aligning with Triple H -- I don't think tha' chances you two failures have are sufficient enough to even warrant a spot in tha' main event. As a matter o'fact, I'm rather disgusted tha' Hunter and I have to waste our worth against people of your status. In fact, Hunter and I are quite a bit alike. We both have those aggressive tendencies. We're both legends, and no disrespect to Tha' Rock, as much as I disagree wit' his ways; I am a fair individual. For his past in and out of this business, I will give him some credit. Albeit, a rather dull, shallow, and pathetic credit, but a credit nevertheless. Which truthfully enough is FAR more than I can say 'bout you, Sami.
Disgustedly, Dunne would shake his head from side to side. The mere fact he gave The Rock some credit caused him to show his overall disinterest in the situation as a whole. Regardless of this, Dunne had to know deep down that he couldn't take either of his foes lightly. Or it may come back to bite not only him, but Triple H in the backside. However, it's no secret whatsoever of the natural confidence seen from Dunne, who lifts his head with great pride. A small scowl escapes from him as he continues his verbal onslaught at the expense of both The Rock, and Sami Zayn.
PETE DUNNE: Now I bare in mind tha' I wholeheartedly am well aware of what to expect come Tuesday. I would be a liar if I said I didn't expect either Dwayne, or Sami had some vendetta against Hunter, and I. After all, again and again -- We have set forth an example to lead by. We have to keep a story short, made their lives a personal hell. But is tha' really a bad thing? Or are we jus' tryin' to get more from these two? 'Cause the way I see it; Hunter and I are jus' doin' our job. We're trying justify this company by ensuring we get tha' best of of every talent involved. It's jus' not meant to be when Hunter and I decide to PROVE a point to these performers. It could be any other man on this roster, and we will STILL inflict personal warfare on their well bein'. Sami jus' so happened to rear his ugly head into a situation he otherwise didn't belong. In tha' process; I took away everything from him. All tha' momentum in tha' world that Sami had; I made it mine. His championship? As you can see, I too made that mine. Where as Hunter lead by example and allowed me to put my hands on tha' disembodied fool that was Dwayne "Tha' Rock" Johnson. And you know what? I quite enjoyed watchin' tha' man squirm. After he took this ball and tried to become an world wide actor -- I grew disgusted. At one point, I admit; I admired Tha' Rock. From his catchphrases, to his electrifying moves. As a kid; I wanted to be just like Tha' Rock. But upon feasting my eyes upon him, I now know that the only person Tha' Rock looks out for is HIMSELF. A true cretin to this business. A true error which Hunter, and I will soon rid this company of.
Hastily wasting no time, Dunne snatches the image of Sami and The Rock once more. Glaring over it with intense anger. The true disgust was on display for the entire world to see. Dunne would slowly nod his head as he would clutch the image tightly in his hand, crumpling it up. A soft glare follows this gesture as he tosses the image behind him. To Dunne, both Sami and The Rock were trash. Two men beneath Triple H, and himself.
PETE DUNNE: Enough 'bout Tha' Rock. I ensure you, in due time Hunter will do his job in sufficing you directly out of this company. Once. And. For. All. Which in return shifts my attention back onto you, Sami. As I stated earlier, I gave some credit to Dwayne. None of relative worth, but a man who still has made more of an impact than you have. I don't get it, Sami. You have this nature of wantin' to be somethin' more than wha' you can achieve. You have this goal of bein' a true performer. You wanna be tha' man to beat 'round here. Well truth is what I bring to tha' table. Tha' truth is simple. No matter the effort you put forth -- I will continue to be your superior. I will be tha' man who opposes you on this ladder of opportunity. I will be tha' man who will ALWAYS be better than you. Last week, I proved that within' an inch of my well bein'. I took your championship, your pride, and this week? I take away your will to live. 'Cause I look at it from a completely different spectrum. At Wrestle Kingdom. I main event the biggest show of tha' year. I face AJ Styles for yet another championship. The biggest prize this company has to offer. While you find yourself at tha' bottom of the card competitin' in tha' Money in tha' bank ladder match. But heed these words wisely, Sami. If by some grace of tha' Brusierweight I leave you wit' a glimmer of hope of fightin' another night -- Know that if you do in fact prove tha' world wrong, and win that coveted briefcase; I welcome tha' attempt you'll have of trying to face me after I DESTROY AJ Styles. 'Cause as a man of my word, I'm goin' to take the WWEx Championship and make it mine. But if you dare try to defy my MOMENT. My rise up this ladder. I ensure you that your attempt will fall in vain. Just like your life in general. I hold tha' course your entire miserable career in tha' palm of my hands. It would be a true shame if I was to end it, jus' 'cause you dared to ruin my MOMENT of stardom. Be wise, Sami. Know your worth. Accept tha' fate for wha' it is. There is nothin' you, Dwayne, or any other man in this company can do to stop us.
An unsettling image of Dunne radiates over the scene as he smirk creeps across his face once more. A somber nod escapes Dunne as he grasp the image alongside the portrait of Triple H and himself. This being the final one in the sequence. This one adorned a gold tint to the text. Wrote in bold letters was the following: PAST SUCCESS, REPEATS ITSELF. THE TALE OF PETE DUNNE! This final image if a collage of all of Dunne's former successes over the past few months. From his aligning with Triple H, his victory over TJP, and even his victory over Sami Zayn just a week prior. However there was one final image. A question mark was left under it. It was the epic stare down between himself, and AJ Styles. A somber nod escapes Dunne as he reaches across the table to grab his European and Intercontinental championship. He would slide each respective championship onto opposing arms. The Intercontinental championship would fall onto his right side, where as the European would slide directly onto his left. One final chuckle escapes Dunne as he looks to end strongly.
PETE DUNNE: I look at this image, and I admit; I'm a lil' perplexed. I'm a little proud of tha' things I've accomplished. As I SHOULD be. Defying tha' odds on a weekly basis; I have done everything I set out to do. Aside from one thing. That's defeating, AJ Styles. Tuesday ends with a screeching halt at tha' expense of Sami Zayn, and Tha' Rock. Both men who will become a footnote on my rise to tha' throne. Wrestle Kingdom will end wit' AJ Styles laying on his back. As I cement myself as tha' true champion of this company. As tha' note says -- Past success, will indeed repeat itself. For tha' can reign symbolic wit' either Styles, or myself. But as a man who has lead promise after promise -- I end wit' this. Acceptance is key. Failure is forever. Pride comes to those who have no boundaries. But Pride can fail even tha' most prominent of foes. Tha' is where Styles falls. Tha' is where Hunter and I devalue Sami Zayn, and Dwayne Johnson. Tha' is where Tuesday cements ourselves as tha' true face of this company. But alas, it's nothin' personal boys. It's jus' BEST FOR BUSINESS!
Those were the closing words as Dunne would lift the imagery of all his past accomplishments as he would tear that image in fact. Tossing aside the portions of success he had already accomplished. Leaving the imagery of himself, and Styles once more. Before placing the image of Triple H and himself over it. Dunne would close his eyes, but before our scene could end we get a sudden call, almost abruptly. Dunne slowly reaches into his pocket glaring at his phone before answering it.
PETE DUNNE: Of course, Hunter. I'll see you soon.
The scene abruptly cuts to black with that last tidbit of information. What could Triple H want with Dunne? Could it be a scheme for their match this Tuesday? Maybe they were training together? Regardless, both Hunter and Dunne themselves had a lot on their plate. Could they follow through with the words, or would The Rock and Sami Zayn prove to be much more of a threat than Dunne gave them credit for?
