ALPHA AGAINST ALPHA
BROTHER AGAINST BROTHER
This was something that he had dreaded for a long time. It was something he had not wanted to do. It was something he had tried to delay, but as much as he fought against it, is this not the destiny for all great tag teams? Sooner or later this always happens. When a team such as this team comes to the end of the road, they do not shake one another's hands and wish each other all the best success in the world - nop that would be far too easy if such a thing was to happen. Instead every single time, a tag team much like their own, will always split up and when they do - the former tag team partners will be forced to fight one another to the bitter end.
Yet this was not the end, not at all. This was not the end of American Alpha, this rather was nothing more than just another small twist in the story. This was not the end of their team, but rather this was nothing more than a small bump in there road, one that they would have to overcome against all the odds. When such things happen, when partners are forced to go up against one another, it normally ends badly. It normally ends with them never talking again, never teaming again and never being brothers again, but Jason Jordan can rest easy, for this is nothing more than a small friendly match - right?
“You got nothing to worry about Jason. Chad he is your best friend - heck he is like a brother from another mother. He knows, deep down he knows that what has happened to us, has not been my fault. That our lack of success is nothing to be feared. I mean - we won on Raw - we got ourselves into the main event of one of this biggest shows of the year, this match - it is just for kicks and giggles.”
He spoke the words, they sounded amusing leaving his lips. He knew Chad better than anyone else. He knew the man better than anyone in the entire WWE roster and the one thing he knew was that Chad - was a fighter. Friendly or serious it mattered little to him, when he stepped out into the ring, friend or not - he would give it his all and that meant that Jason as well was going to have to push these worried thoughts to the back of his head. If he wanted the chance to move onto the next round of this little tournament, he was going to have to look on at Chad not as a friend in this match, but as a foe.
Facing Chad was one thing, but teaming up with a woman he had been on and off again with was a whole other story, a story he did not want to get into. The mixed match challenge, to some this was nothing more than a small side venture not to be taking seriously, but for him - heck he was born a winner, he was raised a winner and all he knew was winning. He did not enter this tournament to lose. He did not enter the mixed match tournament to have his time wasted. A former flame or not, he entered this tournament to win and by god - he was going to do just that - win.
“I got nothing against Chad. The man is like a brother to me, he is family. Goodness he cut the turkey for me on thanksgiving, but he knows me and I know him. We both like to win, it is in our blood there is not denying it or fighting against it. It is just who we are. I think the fates put us together in the first round to get this all over and done with and right now there is a smile on my face, because no matter what may happen, one of American Alpha will move on to the next round and from that right to the end and when that happens, American Alpha will win the whole damn thing. But I know, one step at a time, I am getting ahead of myself. This is the facts. American Alpha is great, because of Chad speed and my power. I know him, I know how fast he is and he knows how strong I am. When I catch him, it is all said and done and it will be me, Jason Jordan moving onto the next round to represent American Alpha!”
He would jump a little bit on the spot he was on, jogging on the spot to warm himself up. He was ready for this, he may have had slight hesitation before hand, but that had been pushed to the back of his head. This was a friendly contest and while yes without a doubt these brothers were going to go out there and give it there all, they were not going to hold back - there would go out there and do whatever they could to win, hurting one another if needed, but when it is all over American Alpha will still be strong, stronger than ever in fact.
Jason would splash some water in his face as he closes his eyes and takes in a deep breath. This - this was what he wanted, a chance. An opportunity to show what he could do and he had now got it at long last. It was funny that the chance of a lifetime was going to come in a match against Chad, but the dice had been rolled and the outcome was for all to see. Jason against Chad. Brother against brother. Alpha against Alpha. When all is said and done the stronger Alpha will stand tall and the stronger alpha of the two of them is of course - Jason Jordan.
