“He may have tan, but I have SWAGGER!”

Breakout had not gone the way he had hoped, Jack Swagger had went from ICW hottest topic to a near after thought in record timing, he went out full of confidence, ready to take on a goofball and perhaps even the world, yet with one mistake in his match it all went belly up and it was he that lost. People were shocked, even the goof was shocked, he was delighted with what happened, and Jack Swagger, well he was not, he beat the ring mat with his fists like an infant who had just spilt his milk and even worse he decided that another week training with his pro was not going to be good enough. He trained himself when he became a world champion and he needs to do it again to see if there is any difference in his performance. He was went back to the family home, visiting his mother and father who already know what happened, they were shocked that there son failed in his first appearance in an ICW contest, they allowed him home to train in the family gym. With that Jack Swagger wasted little time in punishing himself, both physically and mentally, he needs to be stripped right down and rebuilt for his next match and he is pushing himself to the limits, even his warm ups have went over the top, one thousand push ups before he even starts doing anything else. His father merely sits down in a chair near one of the corners of the gym and watches as his son goes all out to get himself ready for his second match on Breakout.

Nine hundred and ninety eight…nine hundred and nifty night…one thousand…there finally…the warm up is done; time to move onto the real thing, at long last.

Son you need to calm down, you have been training none stop, you have to give it a rest, your going to honestly burn yourself out and then what are you going to do? Crawl into the ring and flop around like a fish out of water, I know you want to rebound from last week, but working yourself to death is not the way to do it son. [The elder Swagger remains seated on the chair as he watches his son, he has been brutally training for his next match, not a day has past that he has not been in here training, it is taking over him, it is all he wants to do and it is all he is going to do until he steps back into that ring.] Look at you, your warm up, it has got you all pumped up, but you are running like a lunatic around here, didn’t your pro tell you to take it easy this week, after all your stepping into the ring with a joke right?

That’s what people said about Derrick Bateman and now look at him, he is the hot topic now and I am merely an afterthought, no one cares about me anymore. Granted I went out there with Scott Lost and told the world what I had planned, even Scott Lost, an ICW legend was impressed, and then that clown Derrick Bateman comes out, goofing around, talking like a toddler, and everyone is cheering him, and even worse when we get into the ring he matches me, Derrick Bateman matched me move for move! Do you have any idea how I felt, how embarrassing it was for me, to be nearly outmatched by him, that Derrick Bateman even have the nerve to lock in my own move to try to win the match, that was just the cream of the cake, that in my eyes was him spitting in my face, your face and mothers face!

Well that’s true son, he did do that. He should you no respect what so ever, but remember what you have been told time and time again, that winning the matches on Breakout is not the most important thing to do, it is impressing everyone, that’s what is going to keep you in and that’s what is going to help you win, because Derrick Bateman is just getting his five seconds of fame after his match with you. We both know you carried the whole thing and with one small mistake it was taken away from you. So you lost, big deal son, you impressed a whole lot of guys, especially me, and that’s what really matters, besides, down the line you will get another crack at Derrick Bateman.

His dad smiles at him, trying to cheer his son up as best he could. He can see he was worn down, that he was not going to stop, he was going to come back from this, he was going to get in shape, get ready for this match he has coming up. His father merely leans back in the chair that he sits on as Jack Swagger begins to run on the treadmill, as the minutes go past the speed is picked up as Jack Swagger looks to really have the workout of his lifetime here. This was nothing yet, the real stuff has not begun just now, he has a lot to get done in such a short space and he has a lot on his mind, but with his father here, he can let it all out. Get it all of his chest.

Dad, you don’t understand, I was born a winner, it is who I am and what I am best at, it is actually all I know, and to be pinned in that ring by a comedy joke is just to much, I should of just snapped him in half when I had the chance and now I know that I cannot show any mercy, I cannot show any compassion anymore, I have to train and get into the game. I am going out there and representing Team Swaggaze and I will not let the team down, I am going to make Team Swaggaze proud once more and make people pay attention. My pro, Daizee Haze has been working her backside off, to get me ready, granted her training methods are bizarre, in fact they are just plain silly and insane, but my god do they work, I have never felt so alive, so full of energy after one of her routines, I am without her this time, I wanted to get back home, take some time and train in my own gym and get ready for my next challenge, granted I cannot take this guy seriously, but I have learnt from Derrick Bateman that you can never doubt anyone, no matter how pathetic they truly look and act, and this guy just screams that is is a loser, trying to milk a terrible television show for all its worth.

Wait a minute who are you facing then this week on Breakout. [His father places one hand on his chin and the other moves as he scratches the top of his head, not even knowing at all who is son has to face this week, several seconds pass by as his eyes finally light up as he knows who it is.] Aw that’s right, your facing that Jersey shore guy….what’s his name again, you know the one with the gelled back hair and awful tan…Zack Ryder was it?

No, it is actually worse than that, it’s Robbie E, at least Zack Ryder made his image before that god awful show went on the air, Robbie E is just a really cheap rip off, I mean I would of taken anyone, anyone at all, except for Dave Batista, I do not like sloppy seconds, after what happened to him at the hands of that beast, Mason Ryan I know for a fact that we are not going to be seeing him around here, anyway he was way too old to be here, this show was meant to be for young talented guys like myself who have the world at their feet, maybe big bad Mason Ryan did the right thing for once, showing his physical strength against Dave Batista, what he did last week, is actually going to be nothing compared to what I am going to do to Robbie E. I mean, I would of taken anyone at all, Ted DiBiase or hell even Jimmy Jacobs, but to step into the ring with Robbie E and to take this match seriously, I mean it is just to much, even for me, are management having a laugh right now, they know that after last week, after what I done what I showed them all that I should be getting the chance to wrestle an actually fully signed ICW superstar, yet I am still opening this show and I am still wrestling comedy acts, but this one is going to be different, I am not going to make the same mistakes like last time, I have learnt from them dad, you see you said this show is not about winning, but that is all well and good, but I can never change who I am on the inside, and that is a winner dad, I win things, I win anything I do and I am going to win this match, Robbie E is not going to have a clue at what hit him, one smack to the face from me, may actually make him look half decent, this is going to be way too easy for someone like me, a pure athlete against a tabbed, greasy, gelled up freak who likes the fist pump the air.

Jack Swagger sighs as he comes off the treadmill, he walks near his dad who merely tosses him a towel and then a nice cold bottle of water, quickly opening the water he takes a few mouth fulls of it before pouring the rest over himself, then he uses the towel to try himself up, both items are tossed down to the ground behind him as he pulls a folded chair off against the wall, setting it up he would place it before his dad and sits down before him, looking into his eyes as he is going to get serious here, he wants his dad to know that this week is important to him, that this match is must win, there cannot be no mistakes, there will not be any slip ups, this is going to be the match that makes people turn around and look at Jack Swagger, and when they look at him, they will know that he is the next big superstar to enter ICW.

Look dad, I want to tell you something, I had mum clear a spot in that trophy case for a reason, I have her clean all my trophies, all of my medals and awards three times a day for a reason, they mean everything to me, and I have a new spot in that case and the Breakout trophy is going there, make no mistake about it old man, I am winning this entire thing. You say winning is not everything, well for me it is, I thought you knew your son better than that. I have never lost anything that I have put my mind to. This competition is made up so many different matches and different challenges and I am going to win them all, I am going to show the world why I am the next Breakout superstar. When you take one hard look at the people that I am up against you can see that there can possibly only be one logical winner, the All-American American is the only guy that can win this, pure and simple. [He smirks lightly, talking about Breakout and himself, it brings a nice smile to his face as he closes his eyes and continues speaking to his old man sat before him.] You see dad, I am not going to go out here and go easy on Robbie E, I am going out there, smashing his goofy face in, locking in the ankle lock and making him tapout, and while I am at it, I might as well just break his ankle, take him out now before he becomes a pain in the backside down the line, I cannot allow anyone to gain an advantage over me at any point during Breakout. Robbie E for all he is worth is a decent wrestle, nothing more nothing less, he should be no problem for me what so ever, after all I am the next big thing and I should be able to go right through this guy, right dad?

Look I don’t want to tell you how to do your thing son, you have won everything on your own and I have been damn proud to see it all, but you’re going to have to up your game now, your not the only one out there wanting to win Breakout, each and every other guy there is gunning to be the winner, and they are thinking like you, they want to impress everyone, last week you may of lost son, but like I said you made a lasting impression on everyone, that was the first match in Breakout and one of the finest matches I have ever seen, you came up short, but in the end that does not matter at all, this week on the other hand, to pounce back and stick in the minds of everyone you are going to have to win this one. Like you said son, they cannot be any mistakes, go back and watch your match again because you cannot allow this Jersey Shore punk to beat you, I mean if he defeats you in your match who is going to beat you next, Ted DiBiase haha.

Dad, let’s not get carried away here, losing to that jobber would be the ultimate insult ever, I mean I have seen some people take some nasty nose dives, but that snob lost everything and is nothing more than an enhancement talent for people like myself. How he even managed to get a win last week is beyond me, but he was facing Jimmy Jacobs, so that’s understandable.

Fair point son, fair point, you honestly should not have any trouble then tonight, once you get through him, then it is on to the real challenge, the two guys that are in the lead with yourself to win this whole thing, you’re going to have to work hard and step on anyone that gets in your way to match them, they both have properly better pros than you and they are being guided to be the winner, you’re going to have to seriously start to catch up with them if you want to win this whole thing.

Derrick Bateman and Mason Ryan in my eyes are nothing, when I get a chance to wrestle them both, I will show the world why there pros mean nothing, they both may have had a good start here, but that means nothing at the end of the day and they will end up tapping out to me. You see dad I have big plans for this, I want that contract to get onto the main show and I want that championship match and I am going to get them one way or another, that’s my goal, that’s my dream right now and no one is going to stand in my way, this week the poor fool that I have to destroy is a fist pumping air waving, gelled up, tanned trash talking cheap imitation, Robbie E. he is in for a world of pain when he gets into the ring with me, I hate saying this, trashing down people, but this guy…this guy right here, Robbie E I mean how can I take him seriously, he is like something out of my nightmares, he just….he just looks so stupid, yet he things he is the hit stuff, the flavour of the month…let me tell you what the flavour of the decade is….me…the All-American American…Jack Swagger. You may got tan, but you don’t have a catchy title and awards like that. I am an All-American American, and I may be going to a different country for this, but damn do I not work my butt of for tor American, they should cheer me tonight when I fight Robbie E, because even America, the land of the free and with the right of free speech cannot stand Robbie E and all his Jersey Shore pals, they are just a joke, no one and I mean no one with common sense should act like that, it is like the mental hospital just opened there doors one day and let them all run wild and see what happens, and now look at what we have got, tanned up punks, walking, flaring there muscles, wanting to take on everyone, well Robbie E I am ready for you, I am ready to take you on, and I am going to knock you back in line, I am going to put you in your place, but don’t worry, I might give you a job, because you could be a good wing man for me, because look at the state of you, I mean no woman with common sense would go out with you, so with you at my side all the woman will run to the All-American American and truly have a good night.

That’s good son, I wish you all the best, and I do not expect to see you back here again with you head hang in shame, because you have this one in the bag, you have this match already won and you want to know why, because Robbie E is lacking one of the most important things, he has no swagger.
