So much travesty, and controversy has surrounded American Alpha. From the duo being on the verge of shocking the world by nearly securing the Money In The Bank briefcase, to shocking the world by defeating The New Day.Which ultimately lead to another underhanded tactic by The Dudley Boyz. In complete and utter chaos, we move away from the prior week of action inside, and out of the ring to find; Chad Gable, who was locked in what appeared to be a jail cell. The former Olympian wore a soft smile across his face, almost thrilled with the opportunity placed in front of him. A sudden sigh escapes from the mouth of Gable as he openly addresses why we found him locked inside a jail cell.
CHAD GABLE
I'll admit I'm a little shocked. I don't see how they did it, but they got us. (A sarcastic sigh escapes from Gable who slowly shakes his head.) Jason and I was minding our own business, and then? We found ourselves in hot water. Which might I add seems to be a hot topic for us lately. The New Day, those dastardly Dudleyz; and now? (Another sarcastic sigh escapes from Gable.) American Alpha has been captured! We're stuck in the Uso Penitentiary. Whatever will we do!?
Gable looks almost distraught as he begins to shake like some crazed lunatic .We see the large stature of Jason Jordan who comes alongside his partner in crime as he gives him an amused, yet confused look. Jordan would cackle a small chuckle before throwing some insults at his partner.
JASON JORDAN
What are we going to do, Chad? Summerslam Will be here before we know it. And we're stuck here. We have the opportunity of a lifetime. We have the chance to become the WWE Tag Team Champions. Yet we're stuck behind bars. (A disappointing sneer escapes Jason as he resumes.) I don't know about you, Chad -- But we need to find a way out of here. A loophole. Because if we can escape from the dreaded Uso Penitentary; American Alpha wins the WWE Tag Team Championships. Do you see what we must do here?
Gable slowly raises his head as he understood his partner fully. This was the moment both men had been looking for. This truly was an opportunity of a lifetime. The humbled Chad Gable can't help but nod his head in acknowledgement.
CHAD GABLE
But of course, Jason. We need to OUTSMART them. But, how? When we least expected it; we were swindled and thrown into this smelly structure. But then again, man? That might just be the paranoia creeping up on me. (Fourth wall break. Gable looks directly into the camera with a soft wink.) Or it might just be gas. I don' t know. But either way, Jason -- We need to find a way out of here.
Gable would begin to scurry around the tightly fitted cell, in hopes of finding a key or something to escape from the cell that pitted these two friends together. Unfortunately, no key was found .Leaving Gable to let out a thunderous sigh.
CHAD GABLE
What is this tomfoolery, Jason? There is no key to be found. But I'm sure that's what they want, right? After all, Jimmy nor Jey are ready for us. Why else would they have to stoop to this level of childish moves. I mean, it's totally not like we set this up, just to break out at the last second, to prove that we're the ones who are REA--
Jason would use his larger frame to butt in almost immediately as he covers the mouth of his comrade.
JASON JORDAN
What I think you meant to say was The Usos won't know what to expect when we finally break out of here. Isn't that right, Chad?
Chad seemingly had to swallow his pride on this one as he looks directly at his partner with an eager, yet knowing grin. To the viewer, it was all but obvious. However with Gable, you never knew what to expect.
CHAD GABLE
Oh! But of course. (His eyes clearly said otherwise, but he had to agree with his counterpart.) I mean that would just be lame, Jason. Pretending to be locked up just to prove a point? I mean, we're not that conceded are we? (The look in the face of Jason told the entire story, but Chad quickly musters a chuckle as he resumes.) That's beside the point, Jason. I think instead of us wasting our precious energy behind bars, we need to maintain our composure, and attempt to outsmart Jimmy and Jey.
JASON JORDAN
Come on, Chad. Is that really to much of a challenge?
CHAD GABLE
Good point, perhaps I gave them a little too much credit.
The two allies share a mutual chuckle with one another as they continue to look around the cell for a possible exit. Once again, neither Chad, or Jordan was successful in their pursuit.
CHAD GABLE
Let's do the wise thing and plot. If you were an Uso, where would you hide a set of spare keys? (An abrupt pause comes across Gable, but just then as if a lightbulb flashed over his head, Gable pinpoints another suspect, or in this case suspects.) Actually, don't answer that -- If I'm a betting man, I think my suspicions need to accommodate both Bubba and D-Von Dudley. (Jason shifts his gaze with a puzzled look. Where was Gable going with this?) Hear me out on this one. Those two bloated old farts want to be the men to beat. They can't accept that they're so over the hill, that they'd be the ones to put us here. They know that there isn't a thing Jimmy or Jey can do to defeat us, so they stoop to the lowest of lows just to sabotage us from competing. (Chad lets a simple shrug escape his shoulders.) After all, Jason -- We're the ones fighting for the WWE Tag Team Championship. Not them. Makes sense, right?
Jason would look almost shocked at the words that escaped from the mouth of his partner, but even with his blatant shots at The Dudleyz, Jason had to acknowledge that Chad brought up a very formidable point. A soft sigh escapes from the softer spoken, and some would say less cocky member of the team as he slowly nodded his own head.
JASON JORDAN
Now that you mention it. I can see why they would do that. After all, they've targeted us these last few weeks, but the more I think about it, Chad? The more I start to get a little upset. A little frustrated. Who the heck do they think they are? I mean we're here to do the same thing that they're here to do. We got our eyes set on the WWE Tag Team Championships, just like they do. (Chad slowly acknowledges his partner with a thumbs up, and a nod of his head.) The difference between us and them is that we're not washed up. 'Cause weather they like it or not, we're breaking out of this place, and when we do?
CHAD GABLE
By all means, you're on a row. I'm curious, Jason. Exactly what will American Alpha do?
JASON JORDAN
Oh, I think you know, Chad. We're gonna break out this place. And then we'll head into Summerslam as challengers. We'll have the entire world watching us. But America on our side? We will leave as Champions.
Gable can't help but grace his partner with a smile after that little nod from Jordan. These two were on a mission. They wanted to become the WWE Tag Team Champions, but more so than the accolade of being a champion, they wanted to prove to themselves that they could get the job done.
CHAD GABLE
Getting the job done is our specialty. There will certainly be no if, ands, or butts, about it. I think it's safe to say that you and I are on the same page, right? (Jason would simply shrug his shoulders.) But of course, that's no secret to the WWE Universe. Let's be honest; I'm sure the entire WWE Universe is gonna be on our side. We can't let them down. We HAVE to defeat The Usos. We must thwart those dastardly Dudleyz, and show why American Alpha is the best tag team in the world.
Gable would tap the chest of his larger framed ally as they share a glare at one another. Not one of hostility, but one of mutual respect. The confident smile from Gable is infectious as the same grin slowly creeps across the face of Jordan.
JASON JORDAN
I couldn't have said that better myself.
CHAD GABLE
Absolutely, man. You're the only partner I'd like having by my side as we showed the world what we're made of. This is OUR moment, Jason. This is the chance of a LIFETIME. There is no time for us to slip up. This is the moment that will separate us from being a success, or the exact opposite. (The sense of reality hit Gable as he looked directly into Jason's eyes.) A failure...
Yet another sigh would escape from the mouth of Gable, as the reality of being a failure was deep in the back of his mind. But that same thought had to slip in the mind of his partner who slowly nodded his head in acknowledgement. Jason knew the implications of this all important contest, just like Gable. As he had said, there was no room for error. No time for a mistake. It was now or never, and American Alpha had to prevail.
CHAD GABLE
But the more I think about it, Jason? The more I begin to realize is that we've made a career of proving people wrong. (He chuckles softly.) I mean let's be honest -- Neither you, or I was supposed to make it to this point. We were never supposed to be that guy. But here we are with a chance to show we not only belong, but we run the entire tag team division. (Jordan pats the shoulder of Gable for moral support. This leads Gable to chuckle as he nods his head.) I know you quite well, man. There is nothing more than you enjoy than a challenge. I'm the same way. Together? We face the biggest challenge of our entire career. It's not The Usos. It's not paranoia. It's American Alpha. (This time it would be Gable who would pat Jason on the shoulder who nodded his head in agreement.) This is our chance, Jason. Together, we show the world that two kids with passion, and a dream? Overcome the obstacles. Because I don't know about you? But I'm ready for a fight.Heck, Jason. Let's start an entire war. Let's show the entire world that we are HERE to STAY! (Chad would turn to gaze at the cage placed before him, and Jason.) Let's show the world why American Alpha is the next WWE Tag Team Champions. Because together? (The mutual nod, signaled we were all done with the talking.) We are ready, willing, and Gable...
Those were the closing words from Gable who slowly turns his attention to face his partner. The two men embrace in a powerful hug, showing that they were much more than tag team partners. They were like brothers. Their unity would be some of the toughest in the world. The two men known as American Alpha stood together like a brotherhood. This is where our scene would slowly come to a halt. Jason would look to Gable who slowly nodded his head. They both turn their attention to the cage, throwing a powerful kick to the cell, knocking it completely off its hinges. The duo walk out in unison, showing their comradely. The scene fades to black with the final image being that of American Alpha standing tall. The opportunity of a lifetime, starts now.
**************
American Alpha. Everyone thought they were a one night return. That they had been brought back as a special attraction and nothing more. To pop the crowd and get some headlines the next day, so you can imagine the surprise of everyone when American Alpha announced they were here not for just one night - but every single night going forward. They had signed their contracts and they had made it clear to everyone - that they were here to win nothing only matches, but championships as already they have there eye on the gold and with there recent showings, who would be foolish enough to bet against American Alpha.
JASON JORDAN
“We had out doubters, we had a line of men and women lined up in the back all shaking their heads and writing us off. When we came back at Money In The Bank. When we walked out there and entered that ladder match - hell yes we put on one hell of a classic match, but in the end we didn’t win and when we walked out to the back - everyone thought that was it. American Alpha was back for one night only and that was the end of it all.”
They had been captured. They had been taken away for a crime they did not commited and locked away in the uso penitentiary. Anyone else would have given up if it was them. Anyone else would have sat down and waited to be let go, but the uso penitentiary like the men it was named after was a joke to these two men and they have easily kicked down the cell door and now they wandered the halls trying to find a way out.
CHAD GABLE
“Anyone who thought we only came back for one night, clearly does not know a thing about us. We came back to the WWE to do only one thing - and that was win. Money In The Bank - it was more of a showing than anything else. It was a night for us to blow of that ringrust and show the world that we are still up there with the best tag teams in the world.”
Chad Gable would smirk as both men walk down the narrow halls. They were dimly lit, but kept going forward. They had championships to win and the uso penitentiary would not be the end of them. It was true a great many tag teams have been locked away in the uso penitentiary to be forgotten about, but they would not become one of them.
JASON JORDAN
“Chad I think what you meant to say was that we are the greatest tag team not only in the WWE, but in the entire world as well - there is no one who comes close to us and you know we have proven that fact.”
Jason Jordan would correct his partner - his brother in arms as they take another turn, coming to another cell door as both of them grab a hold of the bars and with ease - they pull it open - it seems much like the champions - the uso penitentiary was falling apart as American Alpha was easily making there way out of the crumbling building.
CHAD GABLE
“Sorry Jason, it is just being in here, being in this place - it has thrown me off a little, but you are right in what you have said Jason. We are not up there with the best, we are the best! We returned to the flagship show - Monday Night Raw and we went out to take on The New Day and like before, everyone looked down at us. Everyone held back there laughter. We were wrote off before we even laced up our boots. Everyone was saying that the match was nothing more than a warm up match for the new day, that it was a match given to them to give them the night off - an easy when if you could day, but I like to think we proved people wrong that night.”
They push ahead. There was no one else here in the uso penitentiary. Any other team who they have locked away in here have faded away, but American Alpha would not become like them. Jason Jordan would point forward as they would both spot a large door - it was the way out as both men rush towards it - kicking it as hard as they could and seeing this was going to take a little bit of effort, it seems that the the uso penitentiary had some fight in it afterall.
JASON JORAN
“Proved people wrong? Chad you are underselling this as normal. We didn’t just beat The New Day - we destroyed them. We showed them and the entire world that we came back not to just play, but we came back to win. We easily bested one of the top named teams in the company and with that one massive victory for us, we bagged ourselves what we should have been given when we first returned - a tag team championship match. The New Day - they where barely a challenge and the champions The Usos - Chad you know I am a little bit physic right - I can see gold in our future my friend and nothing but misery for The Usos.”
American Alpha would both step back slightly as they then turn and face one another and nod as they rush forward, both of them slamming there shoulders into the main door of the uso penitentiary and with that one move - the doors of the the uso penitentiary would be knocked down as American Alpha step out of the darkness of the uso penitentiary and into the light outside with grins on their faces.
JASON JORDAN
“The Usos - Jimmy and Jey. What can we say about these jokers huh Chad? I mean look at them, look how long it took for them to become relevant. How many years have they been doing this Chad? How many years have they put into this sport - how many years have they sacrificed? Five? Seven? Hell I actually think it might be ten years. TEN LONG YEARS. Can you imagine that for even a fraction of a second. Can you picture that in your head? Working for ten long years and only now becoming relevant. Now this may just be me - but if you have been around for ten years. If you have been performing for ten years, at the highest level as well and only now in this last year do people care about you. Only now people take a interest in you - well in my eyes it means you where not that good to begin with. I mean - come on - ten years to make a name for yourself. American Alpha - ha - we didn’t do that in half the time. We didn’t do that in a third of that time - American Alpha made a name for themselves on day one. What took The Usos ten years - it only took us one day!”
Both men would walk forward, out of the prison and into the light. The darkness was behind them, the worst was in the past - now what lay before them was an open road. An open road to a grand stage. An open road to The Usos and more importantly an open road to the Tag Team Championships and nothing was going to get in there way and stop them from taking what was rightfully theirs.
CHAD GABLE
“You couldn't have said it better Jason. I mean ten years. Can you imagine that. Working for ten long years and never being noticed. Coming to work day in and day out and just being a guy - another faceless man that no one would notice. Hell if they got fired, would anyone even care? Ten years slogging it out and now the people care about them - because they changed their theme music, they washed that face paint from there faces. They changed up there gear and they got some new lines to spit out. The people now care about them, because they dressed themselves up, they now look presentable. They are all flash and no substance. They are still the face painting geeks they were ten years ago. They are still those losers who toiled away on pre shows and where content with being nothing more than curtain jerkers. You said it better than I ever could have Jason - they are not good. I mean ten years is a long time and in that time you would think they would be melting in gold. That there trophy collection would be flowing, that they would be swimming in titles - but they aren’t. I mean come on - it took then what - five years? Five years to win the tag team championships and since then they have only held them for a handful of times, each reing shorter than the last. I am sorry, but if American Alpha had been here for ten years, we would have held all the gold - and we would still be holding it right now, because we are that damn good!”
Chad Gable would spring forward and jump into the air. He was hyped up for what was to come. He was ready for this match. He was ready for these men and more importantly he was ready to beat them. The words of Jason Jordan lingered for a moment in their heads -The Usos have been doing this for ten years and like Chad Gable said, it took them five years to taste gold. American Alpha - the moment they get a chance at championship gold, it is never wasted. In there careers The Usos have had hundred of chances and they have failed hundred of times and when they compete against American Alpha they will do what they do best - fail.
JASON JORDAN
“We never had what they had. We didn't have families that had wrestling running through there blood. They are next generation superstars. They are the next in line in there families. They are part of a dynasty - one that has stood for a long time and with that - they have been given special treatment. Doors were opened for them and protection was given. If anyone else would have failed as much as they have over ten years, they would have been shown the door a long time ago, but not Jimmy and Jey. No - they hide behind their fat daddy. They uses there far more talented family members to keep themselves in a high spot. They have had everything they ever wanted handed to them, but we Chad - we got nothing handed to us. We never had a silver spoon in our mouths. Our road here was not easy. We had to work hard to get here, harder than anyone else. Nothing was handed out to us, hell - doors were locked for us - but we kicked them down. Everything we have - was not handed to us - we had to fight for it - we had to earn it and when we face them - we will do what we do best - we will fight them, we will dominate them and we will defeat them. We will earn those tag team titles the hard way, it’s true, it’s damn true. As good as The Usos have become this last year, to us they are nothing. We are ready, we are willing and we are Gable. Chad - we are American Alpha - and we will bring those titles back home.”
He would turn to his brother as he placed his hand upon him as both men embraced one another. For all there talk, this would not be an easy contest. They had a fight on their hands and that was how they liked it. Nothing in this world could be given to you. The Usos where used to free handouts, but not them - they would earn those tag team titles the old fashioned way, by beating the unworthy champions.
