He had done it. He had done what so many thought was not even possible for a man such as himself. He had entered that ladder match as the underdog. Off the four men, who would enter and do battle - he had the worst odds out of them all. He never had a chance. If this was a game, if this was an online game, he was a newly created character going up against characters who have clocked in over a hundred hours and had top level gear, but as he has proved time and time again, it matters little about how many hours you have put in - it's all about determination and how much heart you are going to put in and he had wanted this - he wanted this more than the other three men and that much was now clear as he walked out as champion.
“I have finally done it. I have finally hit that end level with maximum score. I have broken the highscore and now this - this right here is my prize and I have to tell you, I could not be more happier than I am right now.”
He sat there in his gamerchair. His newly won championships rested right there in his lap as he glanced down. So many legends of this sport have held this championship and now here he was - sitting here holding onto a championship that so many others thought would go to Seth Rollins, Trent Seven or heck even The Miz. Yet he had bested them all - he had beaten them all and whole they sat at home licking their wounds, he sat here as a champion.
“That match - damn that match was on a whole other level. It was insane mode with modifiers added in to make it more harder for me. I am still feeling the effects of that match. I am still hurting from that match, but to have this title now - it makes all the pain I had to go through worth it and if I was asked would I do it all over again - you bet your ass I would. I got to go against two of the very best in the sport today. Let’s get on thing out of the way first - The Miz did nothing in that match. He never deserved to compete for gold in the first place and his performance shows that. He either lagged out or he put his controller down knowing it was pointless going up against better players. He was a non factor and the less said about him the better. I went out there with Seth and Trent and we went to war. This was Mario going up against Bowser and King Boo at the same time - but I dug down deep and I pushed through and I won in the end - as all good players do. I have beaten two of the best in this company, but that is not the end of it for me. Last week was level two. This title in my lap - it is a powerup and if you know me, then you know I am never content - I want more - I want to move onto the next level and challenge for the next prize and that - that’s what I am doing this week. I am going to go out to that ring and I am going to face whomever is brave enough to step up to me and I am going to show them all just how good TJP is.”
He chuckles slightly as he would lean forward. He would grab his controller as he would turn on his xbox one. It was time to unwind, it was time to relax slightly. He had faced the best and he had beaten the best. He has taken another match, even after a brutal ladder match, even after hurting himself, putting his body through hell and back - he is looking to once again go out there and perform even if it is against someone such as Chuck Taylor.
"Chuck Taylor, I hope you are watching this, I hope you are seeing what I am doing right now. To you I may be sitting here goofing off, but in truth I am training just for you. I am getting ready just for you Chuck Taylor. You may be smaller than me. You may be weaker than me. You may half the size of me, but listen and listen well, even after my big victory, I will not underestimate you. You are the most dangerous man we have faced in a long time. You are hungry. You want success. You want everything that this company has to offer you and the only way you are going to get that is by defeating TJP. We know what to expect from you. We know what you are going to do, but I am going to let you in on a little secret. I am going to tell you what I am going to do to you when we step into the ring with one another. I am going to make an example out of you and show you that you are not good enough to step into the ring with a champion!"
He sounded confident, but he had every single right to be. While Chuck Taylor has been sitting on the sidelines playing with his thumbs, week in and week out TJP has hit the ring taking on challenge after challenge and overcoming the odds. TJP narrows his eyes as he would play Dragonball Z Fighter, putting it of course onto the hardest mode there was as he would start to fight.
“Chuck Taylor I know you need this win, I know you need to win this match no matter what. You have been laid out time and time again. You have been left beaten and broken in the ring one to many times and you are sick of it. I can see it in your eyes you are sick of being beaten. You are sick of being knocked down. You are sick of losing. Well you need to know something, going up against someone like me - an unbeaten champion the golden boy of this company - you are crazy. I am better than anyone in this company. Nobody and I mean nobody steps up and challenges me. Nobody steps up and tries to knock him down. Chuck Taylor you have a lot of guts, but you need to learn your place. I have every intention of breaking your leg tonight so that you don’t further interfere in his plans to keep a tight grip on this title. Your career here is going to come to an abrupt end and you only have yourself to blame and nobody else. You have bitten of far more than you can chew. You have picked a fight with the wrong guy. TJP is the future of this place, not you Chuck Taylor, you need to get that silly thought out of your head right now. You don’t stand a chance against TJP.”
Once more a small chuckle would escape him as he would continue to fight in his game. Chuck Taylor was good - but TJP was better. This match - the outcome - now it was not in doubt. TJP these last few weeks has proved to everyone that he is as good as he says he is, that he can back up his words. That he can talk the talk and now he can walk the walk.
“Chuck Taylor you a certain kind of wrestler. You are a tag team wrestler son and there is nothing wrong with that. You need a partner. You need someone to team with you. Unfortunately for you, your friends you have teamed with, they were not good enough to get a job here and so that means you are left alone and it has already been made quite clear that you need someone at your side if you want to have any sort of success here. Chuck Taylor, listen to me, you will never gain success here, and you don’t have what it takes. None of your fancy moves, kicks or flips are good enough to earn you any success. You are not built to be here. This is the league of the big boys; there is no place for children. You will never win anything here. You will never be champion. You can run around the ring all you want. You can jump of ropes and fly in the air, it is still not good enough. I have seen your types before. I have defeated men like you before and when we face it will be no different. You are a crash and burn type of wrestler and when we lock up you will crash and you will burn. You are not invincible, you can be broken. You got lucky that someone didn’t end you already, but Chuck Taylor your luck has finally run out as TJP is going to be the one to break you. You don’t deserve to be here. You don’t deserve a job. You don’t deserve this opportunity. You don’t deserve to take up my time. You are undeserving of everything that has given you. You are a parasite Chuck Taylor. You are a waste of my time and everyone else’s. I will be called a national hero when he ends your career."
Asd good as Chuck Taylor was, it was clear TJP was not afraid of him. He narrowed his eyes as he would finish his fight. Goku going up against the Ginyu Squad as TJP playing as Goku would mop the floor would all of them with easy, beating them all in a perfect round without taking a single hit. He would pause, a sigh escaping him as he turns and looks up - he needed to push Chuck Taylor out of his mind as it was quite clear, that playing games was far more important than worrying about someone like Chuck Taylor.
"It's been a long time coming. Now is the time of TJP. Now is the time of the real gamer. After all that's happened with me being held down, with letting down his loyal supporters, with all the stuff I've had to deal with, and all the shortcomings, it is time for me to stand up and fight back. You can either accept it or deny, but no matter what the truth will come out and I will be left standing as the man on top of the Mountain. Nobody can defeat me, nobody can deny what is mine. Chuck Taylor, you can try, but you will fail. When you face me, you will see that I am better than you and when it is all over with - you will get the black screen and these crimson words - GAME OVER."
He would spin around in his chair. He was ready for Chuck Taylor. He had won the championship against all the odds, he had all the momentum on his side now. Chuck Taylor was now the underdog. Chuck Taylor was the one who had bad odds. TJP was walking into his first match as a champion and he would not leave that ring without anything else other than a victory.
