He wasn't overly surprised that the woman gave them the "she was right" attitude as she defiantly was. But that didn't matter anymore, at least not to him. All he cared about was getting them both back to being human.

"We're sorry we didn't listen but we thought you were just making it up. Can you please help us, we want to be normal again!"

He keeps looking up at her, determined for her to help and not close the door on them both. His feathers almost stood on end, he was so anxious to get her to help them.

The old woman stands there as she stares at these two animals on her front door, indeed she can she the fear in both of there eyes, she still smiles and then simply closes her eyes and sighs a little bit at them

“Very well then, go around the back and I will help you, cant have you on my front door, people will be scared of a couple of talking birds, and you aint coming into my house, your feathers will get everywhere, now hurry”

She then closes the door on them and locks it as she has just told them what to do now, go around the back of the house and she will then help them

He nods and takes your wing before hurrying around the side of the house as fast as he could as he wanted to stop this accursed transformation and reverse it. The path that led to the front door also branched out around the side where a lot of high and heavily foliaged trees hung high over them. He treaded lightly but could not help but feel jumpy about finally getting rid of whatever was happening to them.

As they came around to the back part of the house, the scenery before them was astoundingly beautiful. A large fountain was standing in the middle of a pond like body of water that looked appeasing to his senses and his eyes seemed locked onto it.

She follows on right after him getting pulled along, petals from the flowers around them break and blow past them as they move around the back of the house. Her eyes go wide as she looks on at the sight before her, never in all her life has she seen such a wonderful sight before her, the large pond had to be seen to be believed, the water looked so clean and pure as she yanks her wing away from you and takes a few steps forward standing in front of you, her small now completely finished body is all you can see, no traces of humanity are left on her now, and even now everything is finished, her final change was her voice fading away being lost to her new vocal cords

She opens her peak to say something to you, as a loud deafing honk escapes it, she closes her peak shout with wide eyes as she now truly starts to panic, now she knows what has truly happened to her, no longer is she human but now nothing more than a common swan, eh starts to panic going berserk now, flabbing her wings up and down and honking like mad. Her long neck moving side to side as she moves around going mad, as if she could cry now she would bit right now she is letting her rage out on what has happened to her

He looked around, the whole place was full of life and beauty... it was memorizing, even in the dire state that he was in he still found time to inspect the plants in a very curious manner. His eyes moved to the pond, it's water still and reflecting the sun's dying light. His eyes turned to you as you moved in front of him, his shock unable to say in words. You were a swan, a beautiful swan at that but nevertheless still a swan with your soft white feathers and elegant form. He wanted you to be human, this was too weird for him.

His eyes widen as the only sound that emanates from you is a low honk. He steps back, not knowing how to calm you down as he was too frightened by this as you were, what if there was no way to change them back once they had gone this far? This thought made him think of the old woman and he rushed past you and started shouting out for the woman at the back door but he tripped up the step to the door and slammed his beak hard into the concrete. He stood back up holding his beak in his wings, his mouth was throbbing and it hurt him to speak.

She keeps panicking, flapping her wings up and down like mad and honking angrily at the pond before her, her delicate new feet hit up and down the ground as her black eyes move and glance at you, you running for her as she is indeed happy for this but yet her eyes go wide when you run right past her, ignoring her cries for you to help her for you to hold her and embrace her, you simply ran right past her to the house.

She calms down and looks on forward as she flaps her wings and gently glides into the small pond, her wings going to her side taking there rightful new position as she simply floats there on the surface going right into the centre, her head hung low as her eyes glance down as she is now heart broken that you did nothing at all to help her, she thought you and her where in this together

As he rubs his beak he looks back at you as you glide onto the pond, his long slender neck tilting before he jumped down and tried to shout out but all that came out was a strange honking sound that stopped him dead in his tracks. His beetle black eyes glistened in the sunlight as he became quite still... the idea that the woman would help them was a fools game, he was an idiot to trust that that old lady would help them. He looked down at his own form, the lavish feathers and stoutness of his body was now that of a swan, all traces of humanity gone, he could feel unknown instincts and strange ways of thinking coming into play... like it was normal.

He waddled over to the pond slowly as he long neck moved closer to you as you swam in its depths. He wished he could tell you that he was sorry, that this was all his fault and if he hadn't crashed the car then this wouldn't be happening right now. His yellow webbed feet walked into the water and he swum over to you.

She simply just stays still, her head hung right down in pure sadness and shame, for this to happen to her was indeed a horrific thing, her wonderful form all but gone now. All she is, is a common bird nothing more and nothing less, heart broken she is that when she hears your first of many honks from your new vocal cords she moves her head an looks over herself to look at you, the same has happened to you meaning that any chance of them ever getting there real bodies back are all but gone.

If she could shed tears she would indeed shed them right now, she simply turns her head back around and looks away from you as she hangs it back down her peak basically in the water as she thinks threw everything that has happened to them as a lot of things that used to be on her mind are not all so important any more. More natural instincts now come into her mind, no more worries of bills or work, all that is washing out of her mind and being replaced by more simply things

He swims up to you, feeling ashamed that there was nothing he could do to make you happier or even to help you... he felt useless but what was worse was that he was defeated. He could not control what was happening and nor could he influence anyone else to help them. He nudged you with his beak, his apologetic look only visible in his eyes.

He didn't know what to do next. They had a goal when all this was happening to them, now they could do nothing but wait and remain like this... their own foolishness having too high a price to pay. He raised his wings and flapped them in frustration but he stopped suddenly and looked at them... he did not know how but he was sure that they could fly now. They could search for a cure and not have to stay in this pond, but he did not know where to start, or even how to tell you of his plan.

She keeps her self turned away from you as her head hangs down as her black empty eyes just stare at the rippling water as she simply looks at the broken image of herself that looks right back at her, she can feel you press your beak against her and nudge but alas she pays no attention to that as well but when you start to flab your wings she moves her head up her long slender neck turning with her as she looks behind her and stares at you getting frustrated

She then turns right around and moves closer to you as she rests her head against the side of your own in an attempt to calm yourself down, she her self knows that this happened because of there own ignorance and foolishness and now they simply must pay the price for shunning the help they where offered in the small village when they first arrived at this cursed place.

Hours pass as the sun sank behind the trees, turning day into night in a never ending cycle. As the weather turned, the summer became that of Autumn, then winter and yet two things remained the same, remained a constant in the changing world. Within the secluded landscape sat a house with an almost mythical garden in the backyard, climbing vines supported blooming flowers and grassy alcoves laced the paved stone but within all this tranquil beauty there were two that didn't belong but were destined to remain... the two humans whose ignorance turned them into two swans of a sparkling pond................

The End<b>
